    Just came across Seven Sundays. Love it. We did the Nullarbor a few years back and it brought back good memories for me, thanks. We now have a Jawa Lowdown and a 120 Prado so sort of same for same. Just wondering how the Nissan goes towing it as we are kind of on the weight limit on both. Are you both happy with your Jawa? Wishing you safe travels and many years of travelling.

      Ours didn’t come with diesel heater as standard and we didn’t add one. Reverse cycle a/c but didn’t have lithium batteries to run it off-grid, just standard AGMs.

    Wow! Super informative! We have been wanting to go to Tassie but I can’t bear to put my dachshund on a plane - I used to work baggage handling and know it’s not as great as they say it is. I will definitely look into renting a camper to get across. Does it have to be specific type of van? Do you think they would let me take something mg as basic as a wicked camper/ juicy campervan?

    • @SevenSundaysAus
      @SevenSundaysAus ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bec, I (Amanda) used to have a mini dachshund years ago, I can appreciate your reluctance. You can take any type of camper or even opt to leave your doggo in a regular car (perhaps with seats down and non spill water bowl could work) - all possible as long as you sign the waiver.

    • @SevenSundaysAus
      @SevenSundaysAus ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you don’t overload your van, should be fine, but can’t comment specifically. You could ask the guys at JAWA as they have a Navara for one of their branded vehicles. I’m almost certain it’s towed most of their vans. Your weight and what you pack will be your priority.

      Yeah definitely tune and after market hot pipe that I mention in my reply to your other comment, but anything that heavy isn’t going to fly up steep incline, but most average hills is totally fine in our experience with the 13ft so the slower very steep hills are an exception 👍🏼

      @SevenSundaysAus ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you mate! Our Nav (NP300) went great. A few teething issues at the start, but after a few after-market mods, it took us all around Aus with ease. Strongly suggest a tune and replacement hot pipe (plenty of commentary on TH-cam about this very issue if you Google it) if your vehicle is as old as ours (2016). We couldn’t justify buying a new vehicle as well, so we kept the vehicle we had and made it work.

      Hi Peter, thanks for watching & glad you’re enjoying following along. We rarely do much without Ninja, but if there’s a must-do activity that is not dog-friendly, there’s a host of dog-sitting options including local vets. We never go longer than 4hrs away from her, she’s older now. Our trip was never about ticking off National Parks or the like, so we left with the mindset that moments shared are better with her (especially as she is 12 now) and they certainly have been. Cheers.

    Another great vid, sorry if I've missed you addressing this somewhere - other than the beginning - though how have you found the fold out bed setup for convenience? We changed our slide on camper to configure the bed so it was always made - Such a difference. But, we are looking at these Jawa Hybrids and others to upgrade and get a bit warmer in the cold climate areas, just not sure about the bed making every day but would rather then shorter wheel base for good off road access. Tricky I know, just checking how you find it to fold and re make the bed. Thanks :)

    • @SevenSundaysAus
      @SevenSundaysAus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh great question! It’s annoying if you are moving every day, but tolerable if you stay somewhere at least 2-3 nights. The only other inconvenience was packing up in bad weather, it’s just that extra thing you have to do rather than hook up and go. We’re divided on the fold out as Manda got over it quick but Nick was not bothered doing the slide out even if 1 night stays…but the one thing we did agree on was your point: The smaller size when travelling was always a plus, so that made up for it 🙂

    Looks great over in WA a must see. Good videos. Plus looks like you need a canopy easier setup and access 👍

      Thanks mate. Canopy for sure if we get a new car. Not worth it on the 2015 Nav, & the money tree out the back must be a dud, it won’t bloom! 🤣

    Can you please let me know the brand, name etc of your dog's calming collar. So pleased to hear that dogs are now permitted to stay in caravans. Thank you.

      G’day, it’s Adaptil brand, “Calm On-The-Go” collar. Think we picked it up at a Pet Barn or similar. Thanks for watching, glad it proved helpful!
