i gotta be honest i still preferer sfm. i respect the skill that goes into blender but most animations are cycles and 30 second animations that look great but don't have much other substance in terms of story. gmod while it does have some pretty funny physics is too simplistic but great animations have been made with it. sfm is the perfect middle ground for me being advanced enough to make smooth movements but not to complex that it takes too long or takes time away from making a good story. besides I've learned to use sfm in some pretty creative ways.

LOL This is so real, I've only animated in Blender(and Maya) so I watched the whole thing and went "I wonder how accurate this is to SFM and GMOD" and then the Blender part hit and I was like "LMAO YEAH TBH" Blender's great it's just so densely packed full of features! I've been learning for over a year now and I'm still barely able to model, rig, etc! (Unsure how this video made it's way to my page as I'm not super into Splatoon either, but I'm glad I got to see it, nice work!)
