In college in the '70's I did a cartoon strip for the college newspaper... it was almost a total swipe of Bode's style, but instead of Lizards I used Frogs... 🤣🤣🤣
Vaughn is my great great uncle. His brother, Vincent, is my great grandfather. I unfortunately don't know as much about Vaughn as I'd like to, and I found this video while doing some research on him. It's amazing to see just how impactful his art was for so many people. I'm looking into every article and documentary I can find right now, and I'm considering getting in touch with some family members to see what they can remember.
@@laurenguttie you are making me feel very old young man 😀… your great uncle had a huge impact on a whole generation of people and still does, have a blast digging in to your cool bloodline and all the best too you 🫡
Do you do album covers?
What did you use 2 colour these in ?😊
Stunning
Thanks man! Was missing your videos. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
If there's one thing I love, it's a fresh video from the man who makes "unbelievable" happen right before your eyes. Always inspired by your work and very grateful for the view. With those clouds rushing above you, one could believe your garden is moving through space and time. CheUFo. Can't stop grinnin at that ladybug. Boss level. Cheers.

Love your style! I would love to get an original sketch from you with the word ace on the belt buckle or a chain of one of your hip hop characters!
Would love to have one of your pieces! Awesome skills.
Hiyah,Artist.Dont feel bad about stealing art materials, you were in the grip of a passion to Create, has nothing to do with Morality. Vaughn would rip off the Syracuse University Bookstore for art materials every time he went in the place, he taught me how to do it. I attended Syracuse from 66 to 70, with Vaughn,we often collaborated, l could paint, he could design. I could write longer stories, but he hated doing long stuff. That Cheech goes to da moom story was about as long as he ever did. He had no idea what to do for a long Cobalt 60 story, that wound up in my hands, with Mark doing the art( Mostly...)My Hand showed strongly of Von for a few years, until a bit of time with the Air Pirates got me back onto my original styles. However, l still use a strong holding line and a white outer outline," to separate the figure from the background".
I’m honoured and flattered you would take the time to comment, thanks for the insight and kind words. I have the same problem with writing, he was fortunate to have a like minded person who could fill that gap. Being able to write and draw seems to be a rare talent that you posses, as a child I would write the title to a story do a huge drawing then give up and move on. Thanks again for your input you made my day.
It's not cheating if you've already sketched it twice! Ups!

Rewatching the lot. Still knocks me out! Big ups!

CHEO IS ONE OF MY TOP 5 GRAFFITI ARTIST 🎨.
The combination of fun proportions, exaggerated shapes, poses and expressions is GENIUS. Each shape is carefully chosen to be represented and then amplified while maintaining its simplicity… I am drooling 🤤 with inspiration. Thank you 🙏 ❤
Hi I want to start doing the type of art that you do would you suggest me getting spray cans or an air brush ? I ask as spray cans seem a lot more expensive and probably will waste a lot at first as I’m learning. Any help is appreciated
Brilliant sketches💯👌
Nice work! Question how you get your books started?
