Things that go bump in the night.
first steam traction engine in the west country not the world
My mate hung himself in the spinny I like to think why it's way it is 😢
How lovely...."And Now for Something Completely Different.."
I like here in Camborne, I never got in to the history before, although I have always known what we’re famous for /) proud to be Cornish ❤❤
I was visiting Cornwall when I came across the legends of the tin mines called Knockers. They are mythical beings that tap in the mines to warn miners of upcoming danger. In one of the places the information plaque called them Knackers, that amused the child in me.
The brain dead.
not the first a French engineer built the first road steam locomotive before him

I live in Camborne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bloomin' great stuff. Who's version of Camborne Hill is that at the end?
Steeped in History!!!
I do bellringing in Roche, in the church by the rock 🪨
Interesting to think Camborne was once a boom town that has now fallen on hard times . I lived there from 1973-1984 and even in that time period you could tell that its prosperity was in decline . I left Cornwall in the 1990's , I hear from friends that Camborne is very run down these days . What a shame . Hopefully one day its fortunes will revive .
Honestly, Camborne has gone very rough,& dangerous these days. I get scared to even walk home in the evenings, especially when I have my little boy with me,& we only go to my sisters who lives up the road from me ❤
My dad was born in Newquay,1919, one of my grandfathers was called captain at the rail station. Not sure what that means. I have family there dating back into the 1600's, so far as I have been able to find.
Tho I'm part Maori and live in far-flung New Zealand, I'm very proud of my Cornish ancestry. ❤❤💯 Thank you for making and sharing these videos.
Bunch of piss artists you know jack shit about Newquay beggar off back to where you come from !
Loved this series there should be more!! Reminds me of home ha ha, what are you guys working on now all these years later and will there ever be any more "history" "in" "kernow" 🤣🤣
Hey, thank you :) i do keep on at the others here and there about filming more episodes, but it just never comes together and the years are just flying on by. I've made some short films and some weird animations. There's a weird series we made called "The Cry" which was all filmed on New Year when we were off our heads. Hopefully, somewhere along the line, we'll get back to doing more HiK, i bought a nice few tools specifically for it that we never really got to use.
@@fredbirdcinema thanks for the reply dude, much appreciated, glad there maybe more episodes :) are you on instagram?
@@veganprogrammer no probs friend! why yes, @sirsnipe

Great grandma was Cornish (never never considered herself English I'm told)...Family were Cornish miners...sailed for Canada and ened up in Michigan save for great grandma herself who married an Irish Canadian in mining business and stayed in ontario. She arrived 1884...
That hotel is famous just like the Shining Hotel.

I did my DNA and I have ancestors from there. My great grandmother is from there Kate Nichols, then she moved to South Africa. I heard that tin from Cornwall was found in King Solomons temple. I now live in Costa Rica, I would love to visit.

very informative !! cheers lads x)
lmao... loved this history lesson with booze, wish my teachers had thought of it, history may not have been so boring back then. :D PS to tweed guy, loved that little wobble at 1:18 lol.. Though can I just give one criticism in a constructive sense, the two guys that play it straight (in fact you could push it to the limit by saying the lines as if you were reading a death monologue) and it would make it even more funny, but.. I just think the afore mentioned chap although funny, we making his statements in a fake Cornish accent it just doesn't gel with the other two. Personally I'd play it all over straight, no movement in face etc... Said with love.. :D Just love, no that should be caps LOVE comedy with a twist, smart humour is the funniest of all.
Thanks, the classic thing about Scot is that his Cornish accent isn't fake

We like to get music from people who live in the area we film, or just Cornwall as a whole. it is an instrumental cover of the Travelling Wilburys song "End Of The Line" recorded in the Spring of 2010 at Cornwall College by: Ewan Broom - Bass Kev Leatham - Drums Nick Croydon - Electric Guitar Jack Dale - Acoustic Slide Guitar soundcloud.com/ewanbroom/02-end-of-the-line
Never expected people to want to use my recordings! Many thanks guys, great video by the way!!
