I survived it at age 16 as I was at 95 st and sw highway on the track team and we ran inside as the windows and walls imploded. Luckily I was able to stop bleeding from arm glass cuts and save as many people as possible.

I think this was an outstanding job. No one got killed and a kid that probably needed beating in the first place got what he deserved. Was it necessary? Probably. May have been avoided? Well you try getting a loaded gun off of someone without killing him and then we can talk.

If they cracked his skull with a baton, THAT would be police brutality. They had to make him give up his gun somehow, and he's lucky that these Oak Lawn officers were patient enough not to just shoot him right there.

Only complaint is they should have tasered him from the beginning, not used any punches. He shouldn't of been running from the cops, with a gun in his bag. I find it absurd many in my community are protesting against this. They didn't kill him, and he was armed with a freaking gun.

No matter color, race, gender or age… if you run from the cops, expect the worst. If everyone simply listened and cooperate this kind of stuff wouldn’t happen. Whenever I got stopped by the cops, as much as I hated it, I listened and did as they asked and was on my way.

I know this location. It's near Oak Lawn Community High School. In the dash cam video is McDonald's on 95th Street. It's also not too far from Hawk Ford, Walgreens, and Taco Bell. How did I know this location, I go by there almost all the time. I usually take the 381 pace bus to get there. I even walked there sometimes.
