RV Generator Maintenance Day
มุมมอง 2233 ปีที่แล้ว
We do our monthly generator maintenance. Since we haven’t been able to go “glamping”. We needed to run our generator to ensure it continues to function properly.
Clean Awning ~
มุมมอง 4433 ปีที่แล้ว
We use a product called Magic Mist to clean our awning. Someone at Wal Mart said he saw it recommended on Facebook. We give it a try and you won’t believe the results. We didn’t.
Creekfire RV Resort ~ Savannah/ work done in RV and ac dash issues
มุมมอง 3443 ปีที่แล้ว
We stayed at Creekfire RV Resort in Savannah, GA. We didn’t get any footage of the park because we only had 2 days there and we went out exploring the area and by the time we got back both days it rained hard then it was dark. But we will definitely be going back.
Time Away RV Park
มุมมอง 7773 ปีที่แล้ว
This park is in Lincoln, AL and owned by an African American couple. Before purchasing it was only open when there was a race at the Talledaga Speedway now it is open year around and only about a 5 min walk to the race track. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

These are my tips on things we did when we were going thru the process of buying our RV. Some may help you and some may not, but if it helps one person that is satisfying enough for me.

Clean Roof ~ Getting Trip Ready
มุมมอง 3834 ปีที่แล้ว
The roof gets cleaned and I test recovering one valence. We are getting ready to go one our 1st trip of this crazy year. 🤗
Slingshot Upgrades
มุมมอง 5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
We add on a full windscreen to our Slingshot. This is what we pull on the trailer behind our RV. With the top we had on it and the short windscreen a lot of wind was coming in making it really hard to enjoy the ride.. What a difference. The top and addition are called Slingline.

I like to say " don't base everything on what others are doing." That's not freedom.🤷🏾♀️

Only can fill the tank 80 percent full to allow for expansion. You are correct, heat will expand on hot days and show a little lower on cold days. If you are fairly good with average tools, put in an extended stay and use an external tank, 20 or 30 gallons. That way you will only use the motorhome tank as an emergency tank. I get 4 Years out of my 22 gallon motorhome tank that way.
Can u place a link foe the windshield? Please and thank you.
We will be going there this summer, just booked! 🥳
I’ve been using those little green tanks for a while but want to get a refillable one like this
I think about these kinda things a lot as a white SUV lifer, I wish you guys the very best and I support you guys. Sad to hear yet not surprising about how your wife got better luck talking to reserving people. I hope to see y’all out there one day, please keep encouraging your fellow black people to get out there and change this old way of how these communities/industries go. We need more people of color out rving and hiking and camping and doing those things that sadly fell into the hands of mostly white folks some time ago and the echoes of that are clearly present still. I must say that after starting this kind of thing in 2019, I already see many more people of color out here than I used to and that makes me happy for the direction of the future. Getting out in nature is a thing every single one of us needs and I hope more and more people see that it’s for everyone as time goes on 🙂 thanks for sharing the struggles y’all have had out there
Go falcon 🎉
Hello 👋 me and my wife are first time rv,er. And what you're saying on this subject is on point.
How about White while rving, why mention your RACE!!!
Good video !!!!
Yes .. we're all campers. About the curious question ... Maybe, the guy was only aware that bands and singers travel in class A motorhomes and thought you were on your way to a concert. lol ps. Nice rig!
A LOT IS BASED ON JEALOUSY, THE THUGS IN UNIFORM PULL YOU OVER WHILE DRIVING A NICE CAR, LIVE IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD, GOES TO A BANK WITH A LARGE CHECK AND OR REQUEST A LARGE WITHDRAWAL FROM YOUR BANK. ANYTHING TO INCONVENIENCE YOU SORT OF MAKES THEIR DAY. SEMPER-FI
People are people and the color of skin makes absolutely no difference. It’s too bad you felt that way.
Great video! New subscriber...
Thank you. Haven’t been able to do any videos lately. Hubby works for KIA and they have been working overtime making cars. As of now there are little to no new cars on the lots…
@@TheDreadedRVCouple I understand. I will be tuned in when u do start back.
Thank you so much for sharing new subscriber here and RV owners as of January 2022.👍🏾💕💕💕👍🏾
Awesome. What kind of RV did you get?
2021 Coachmen Freelander. 22XG I was nervous about an extra large RV and the one chosen fits our space in the front driveway round about and for the size nice interior with a Chevy chassis. I wanted to try RV life before retirement to learn and the size you all have is a dream. Continue to live your dreams and thank you for sharing your experiences. Plan to do the same working full time was in school just trying to balance things. Funny but not so funny story ran out of propane during the middle of the night. Have the RV plugged into the house and learning how it works. Purchased an auxiliary propane and considering having RV propane serviced to the house. Many new experiences that we enjoy taking things one day at a time. I still have to watch you guys and how you started out RVing and with the gas prices how you guys plan on mitigating. We purchased electric bikes for transporting. Long day take care and thank you for your channel👍🏾💕💕💕👍🏾😊
@@tanyaparker-callsign.kk7ic238 nice rv….. We decided that if we bought a RV we would get one we would keep for retirement. However, at some point after retirement we may trade for a diesel. It is big but I did drive it once on the back roads 😂. It’s not that bad and it doesn’t feel like you have all of that behind you. My biggest thing was making sure I kept it between the lines. 🥺. Well I’m glad you all were able to get one to experience it. I think we learn something new every time we go out and if something happens that is beyond your control, that you just roll with it and not get mad or upset about it. Safe travels and hope to see you out there
Man! I thought that we had done quite a bit in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge! We going to go back this season and get it in!!!
We love that area and there is quite a bit to do there
Glad to see you guys out there! Always look forward to your posts. Do you have a good schedule for this season? We’re going to hit it hard this year! First long trip will be Carolina Pines. Watched your post/review as well as others and we are “crazy” excited to get there!
Nothing big planned. Carolina Pines is our favorite campground and I want to go back this year at some point.
Seems like you guys had a great time! We definitely need to visit The Ark and Disney World. On our bucket list! Thanks for sharing.
Yes….. safe travels
Thanks for sharing Lisa.. The ARK is on my bucket list.
Awesome. I think it is a must see
Hay Guys, It's good to see you posting up again. It's was also good to see that you ended your 2021 season with a trip to the Ark. It's on our bucket list as well as Disney. And I understand how it is with work schedules, I'm trying to catch up with the end of our 2021 season. Thanks for sharing and hope to catch you in 2022.
For sure. You will not be disappointed with the Ark. this year we are doing Disney in California
@@TheDreadedRVCouple That should be a blast.. Make sure you take plenty of loot with you.. It's cost $$$ for every little thing there. Enjoy...
New subs here! Well, we have the generator now the "easy" part, the RV 😁😂
Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing Lisa!
Good video from regular people that looks just like me. I’ve been planning for the past three years to get into RVing. God willing it looks like it will finally happen in 2022!!! I enjoy everyone in every day life of all races anyways. So Rving isn’t going to be much different from the everyday life that I live already. I proceed with caution but enjoy everyone that wants to be enjoyed. But I would love it even more if I see many people that look like me when I get out there.
Awesome. No better time than the present to do what you want. Can’t wait to see what RV you get. Safe travels
Thanks for sharing! i'm about to go for my first propane refill tomorrow!
if it were me i would get out of the south east and go south west i've been east not impressed. if u havent been i would try these states arizona, utah nevada and colorado lots to do lots to see.
Yes, those places are definitely on our list. We had a trip planned for Colorado when the pandemic put a stop to that trip.
Yeah...It's time to clean our awnings too!
This product is effortless. Just put on old clothes it will stain any clothing it get on and cover your arms and face
I needed something like this, thanks!
It made the stains disappear. We were very impressed and will be buying it again
I'm glad you had a chance to experience my home town.. We haven't been to that beach in a long time, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Yeah, RV's always have something that's a problem. We're up in Red Bay Alabama get our punch list done.. Be safe and thanks for sharing..
Thanks for showing the cargo ship out there.
I enjoyed listening to you guys and you all really addressed my hesitation. I've talked about it for the last 3 years over & over, I had no fears. But my son thought it might be a bad idea because of racism especially driving on the road. This summer we went to a campsite at Pont Mallard in Alabama & my son said "I betcha you won't see no black people"'. It was a very full campsite, and we did not see one black RVer! Honestly, I became uneasy. Now the difference, I don't have a partner. I'm retired my son lives in another state and I just want to go. So your video was very encouraging. Just like you said go while you can go!
I understand being alone, I think I would be hesitant as well. YOLO safe travels
Amen preach it. Only dumasses treat anybody different camping. So tired of that BS narrative we’re all fam,
Hmm, I was at a Campground once in Castroville Texas on a Golf Course, wanting to pay my Bill, because the next day was a Sunday. Ahead of me was a Black gentleman, who asked a question and the Office Manager, a white lady, Answered him in an impolite way. So as you said, he gave back to her what she was dishing out at him, I guess she took it as him being condescending. Well her husband happened to be the Seasonal groundskeeper/maintenance guy (I guess they were hosts). To make a long story short, the next day the black gentlemen found that his RV had been SABOTAGED. Naturally neither I nor he could prove it. But he was 2 pads over from me and his RV looked beautifully pristine and too well maintained to have the problem he had or any problem period. But what do I know. I see you put up the name of the Campsite that Gave you Great Service. Why not put up the names of the campsites you visit that give you Bad service? If there are any.
So far we haven’t had any encounters with bad service, but believe we will post if we do come across any. Safe travels
Mike jones wut up fam
Yall doin it fam God bless yalll
This was really awesome that you covered their Grand Opening. I loved what you said about not being critical but instead, being positive with positive suggestions. We are so quick to cut each other up. After seeing the Resort on FB, I pinned it to our travel map, You know we must support. Also, Positive criticism: Tell Hubby to ditch that camco style hose and enjoy life with a Zero-G hose. It's lighter, stronger, and a whole lot easier to deal with. My oldest hose is 2 years old and still works good. I since added two more hoses with different lengths for different applications as needed. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely have to support. I will pass that on to him about the Zero -G and we will look into it, I haven’t heard of it.
@@TheDreadedRVCouple Awesome, He will appreciate having the Zero-G hose. Anything that makes life easier when on the road. Again, I about helping and uplifting each other.. Stay safe and peace..
What’s the name of the helicopter place? I’d love to look into doing that.

Thank you.
You’re very welcome. Hope you get to do it
Thanks for the helicopter ride! I felt as if I was there with you.
It was a first for me so I was a little nervous and excited. It turned out to be really fun
Its was so good to see you two post up again. The pines is a beautiful campground, We got turn on to it by NARRVA & The Adventure Bandits. We should roll out together, make it a cool outing. Anyway, we loved the story about the 3 year old and the bike. So heart touching... Thanks for sharing and looking for more...
We would love to roll out. Let’s plan it
@@TheDreadedRVCouple That's what's up...
Great idea taking your bikes
It was the best exercise
Seems like a really nice place. I like that they have an indoor pool.
We were wondering we’re you two were. Looks like a nice place. Thank you and God Bless
Your daughter would love it….. God bless and safe travels to you all as well
Hi there! Just completed my 1st RV trip with family and my lil doggy up Northern California-had a great time! Hit 2 different campsites! River levels were too low for fishing, so did some hiking, grillin and chillin!
Awesome. Nothing like it. Can’t wait to hit the west coast in the RV
@@TheDreadedRVCouple Benbow( Humbolt County)campsite was cool-seen a fox passing thru at night-lots of tall trees and rivers for fishing. Petaluma campsite didn’t have the back-to-nature surrounding, but it’s really nice-and near the wine country and good dining!
Hello we have one very important question? How have you dealt with the mice problems if any inside your RV? Because everyone talks about how wonderful it is but nobody ever talks about pest control.
We haven’t had a nice issue ( knock on wood), but last year we got overtaken by ants. 🤪
@@TheDreadedRVCouple oh boy that’s good tomorrow we go pick up our new trailer
To u & ur lovely wife & all the people on the thread - there are good & there are bad from all races, creeds & genders! If u concentrate on the bad, then u might as well throw the towel in! I'm white Hispanic & I've met some really sad DORKS out there - but then I've met some REALLY nice people - so let it roll off! IF we don't move on from this stigma - we will never grow! & yes we are ALL GOD'S creatures - enjoy HIS creation!!!!! God bless & I hope to see u on the road!!!!!!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love the idea of taking video, or even just photos of potential RVs we go see to help later in the decision process!
It is because after looking at so many they all start to look alike. 😂
Personally I don't like encapsulating the cockpit, takes away from the concept and makes it more like a car. But I am a original motorcycle rider so I prefer the openness. I have the 2021 on order and will be treating it like a bike and not riding it in the rain. Nice concept tho but just not for me
Well we didn’t either until you start roasting in the sun. I wasn’t a fan of the tops until we came across this one because you can move the top half back so you still get the wind. We also ride motorcycles
Thanks for this, yes you covered a great deal of info. Bless you!!
DC all day.
This is how the world is supposed to be if you share your backyard with me I'll share mine with you, I don't care what color your skin is! If you're out for a good time and you're kind along the way, you'll run across the same type of people! Keep doing what you're doing, you sent a great message!
