Great concert. One observation I had - between 1969 and 1972 her voice had more bass but after 1973 to 79 it had a higher timber..most evident in 1973 MA concert.

What a concert.. i listen these in my car while travelling... My driver is now fan of ms amma

I have read an interesting info about Karthikeya Gangeya Gouri thanaya and Kalitheera. Papanasham Shivan imposed some Intellectual Right or something for singing this song and Ariyakudi simply stopped singing the song and started popularizing Kalitheera.

Thank you for posting this-- this is ARI at his best and I can never hear enough Thodi! Especially the Varnum at the beginning it has such a I don't know what the word is but the gate the pace the rhythm I know there's a word but I'm not sure which one it is but in anyway it's absolutely hypnotic and all the violin and percussion are fabulous of course
