A frenzied afternoon in Templebar square... after the Paddys Day parade 2009. We were surrounded by hundreds of Brazilians, Irish and people from all over who had come to Dublin for the session. All the brasileiros in drag really helped to make it seem like an authentic bloco party on the streets of Rio!

Happy City joined forces with a crowd of drummers from other groups, including maSamba and Djembe Faso to name but a few. It was a fab day down in Templebar, Dublin. Led by Brian Fleming and Robbie Harris..

This was Muleketu's first performance of many at Paddys wknd 2007 in Dublin this year! The energy was unbelievable.. some ppl (like Olivier!) were just arriving as the show started.

Oh my God... what a weekend!! Muleketu!! we were so happy to have you here in Dublin. The weekend was incredible! best night in the POD ever!!

Made it to the fab Cabaret Sauvage on the Saturday to satisfy all our forro needs :) Got some quadrilha dancing done followed by the amazing Orquestra do Fubá. Valeu Fubá!!!

So it's just a short snippet unfortunately, but a rare occasion. Ah the irony as usual.. nossa ilha estava completamente isolado do resto do mundo do pagode antes disso! Diz ai Zeca..

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Parisian/brasileiro Aquarelian/Sambatucano harmonia of maSamba's Paddys day entry 2006 ended up back at our flat in Ranelagh. How lucky were we?! :) It was one of the coldest Paddys Days ever so it was Baileys&beers in our sitting room that night. Well, Remy & Fernando.. vcs nao sambem o que vcs comecaram por causa da sua visita!! Obrigado pelo o inspiracao.....

Next up was the Friday night pagode session with Roda do Cavaco in Studio L'Ermitage. We nearly didn't get in because it was so packed. Luckily Clothilde managed to blag us in!!! The lads here joined by Remy for Irene...

After getting well oiled from a few caiprinhas @ the Quai it was into a taxi and onto our next samba stop, a "Place" somewhere in Paris. I honestly felt like I was in Pelourinho. We partied til the sun came up. Diz ai Muleketu!!!!!
