Whats the bpm of the first half of the track
I think it’s 136bpm
thank you mate, this is gold!
Mhhh tight trick
I found the vocal sample in Splice its called KMRBI_MRV_114_vocal_lead_dry_need_it_Dm.wav
Which soft clipper plug in is that?
It's actually one i've made in Max for Live, I will be releasing it in the future on the channel so keep an eye out!
@@Modul8online looking forward to it!
This is better than Logic's stock autotune!
100% better than the pitch correction plugin, but Ableton is still missing something similar to Flex Pitch, would really complete the DAW if they added something like that.
Hey bro , where I can find this plugin Simple Osc that you have on master channel to visualize the final master waveform?
Hey that's a plugin I made in Max for Live thats included in the Suite version of Ableton. At some point I want to release some of them for free on the channel but i'm not sure when. If you did want to look into it though, go into Max For Live in the browser and make an Audio Effect, Click on the where the UI symbol the spanner usually is. When it opens press the letter n and type in live.scope. Before typing it all you should see it suggest the object called live.scope and thats basically how it works. It could be a good video idea actually so I might try and make a tutorial for it.
@@Modul8online yeah that would be great because when I am mastering its helpful to see the waveform and this looks very clean and simple design. I'd definitely appreacitea video on it. THanks for the reply bro , your channels is very nice
Hey there, what sample pack are the drum samples from?
You can download all the drum samples for free in Part 2. on our channel, there is a link in the description. 😀
@@Modul8online thank you!
@@ballsteinyts Oh sometimes the email takes a while to come through if you do go through with it by the way, but it will eventually show up, just check spam too!
Thank you. Just found your channel as I move from S1 to Live. Very nice presentation style, good editing, and a reasonably small talking head PIP. :) Subbed and liked
Thank you!, i'm sure you're going to love Ableton Live, i've used Cubase and Logic in the past and for making electronic music Ableton has become my favourite for sure! I''m actually just finalising a full Ableton Live 12 video course as I write this, which should be out at the start of November, it's basically the ultimate Ableton course for people looking to master the software and write some great music, i'll have more details on my channel in the near future! Thanks for the support! 😃
yooo bro how did you record ?
Using OBS and a Nikon Camera 😀
Nice for you to show us some of the quirks thats other vids dont
Thank you! 😀
Heya, does anyone have any tips for taming the clicks in our synth patches? I understand that adjusting attack time eventually removes the click, but in my case (I'm using Pigments) the character of the sound is being spoilt before the clicks are gone. Any tips? Is everyone RXing the clicks from our synth patches and I just haven't heard about it yet? Thanks for any help in advance!
It's very hard to tell from just the synth alone there can be a lot of factors that can cause clicks and if there's still a click after increasing the attack time then it might be something other than a phase re-trigger issue. If you want send me a direct message on instagram or somewhere else, i can look have a look at the preset and see what's happening. Just search modul8online and you should be able to find me. 😀
This is remarkable. It’s concise whilst also feeling like you didn’t skip out on anything. Proper mastery. Thank you so much. 🫶
Thank you!
Great content! Def well explained
I can't help thinking that t-shirt looks like you're mid haircut
🤣🤣 Someone said that on my tiktok account too, just an unfortunate crop in the video
@@Modul8online keep it up though, I like your tutorials
Fully erect.
How in the world do these have ~250 views a video? A two-part comprehensive guide on arrangement and sound design you gotta be kidding me!!
It is strange, recently my videos haven't been getting suggested as much as they used to, getting suggested to 10 people per day or something ridiculous like that when it used to be 1000s per day. It seems the super clickbait videos like "You won't believe how this pro producer uses reverb! " then in the video it's them showing how to use reverb on a send and return track, they get suggested a lot more. Thank you for the support though 😀
Pacific State
Spot on! but this sound is from the track Saving Flowers by Salute
You can download this preset plus more presets and samples in the related video for free! 🎉
Dude your channel is so fucking underrated how have i never seen you before
The youtube algorithm doesn't seem to like me! 😂 Thank you!
Thank you very much
very good video, thank you.
Hey! I´ve just discovered your channel today, just to say that the stuff i´ve heard for now is awsome! I´ve seen the "Ten - Fred Again video" and i was wondering if you could recreate the song "Something about you" by Rudimental and elderbrook. it has this awsome brassy sound with this bass filling out the pockets between the percussion toms and kick. Thnaks!!!!
Thank you! I'll add it to the list of breakdown ideas so you may see it in one of the future breakdown videos but it might not be for a while! 😀
Honestly this is so useful, love the sound design walkthrough, please do more of this :)
Thankyou! There are some more on the channel, usually they are Part 2 or 3 of each song I breakdown so you can find them easily 😀
or "SSL_115_Lofi_Melody" on Splice (which i see there's someone used it to remake the song) but anyways nice breakdown :^) it's always nice to see you recreate the whole thing using midi x)
Yes, even the drum loops are from Splice too I remember seeing somewhere, Thank you! 😀 It wouldn't be much of a video if I just layered the loops on top of each other 🤣
@@Modul8online yah xD mad respect for u for using midi man <3
Bro I have 12 suite. Need update to 2.1 to have this or is in first 12 suite version?
The update isn't out yet, that's why you might not see them. Not sure when the release date is either. 🤔
The accuracy is mindblowing. I'm interested in getting your pre-recorded video lessons - do you have an idea of when they will be available?
I’m just editing the final 3 lessons of the live 12 course at the moment, I’m aiming for it to be available by the start of November, I also have a synthesis course that will be coming out next year too, if you sign up to the newsletter on our website you’ll get sent a notification when they’re out 😀
Thank you too!
@@Modul8online Awesome!
Great stuff. Well explained, thank mate. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
ive been searching for this sound for ages!!
Thanks, learned something new.
Good to hear! 😀
this is awesome, been loving this track and tried to recreate it myself but couldn't quite get there and this showed me what I've been missing.
It is more difficult than I expected, quite a simple arrangement but there's some complex sound design going on. 😀
this is still so confusing to me but kinda makes sense at the same time? well explained though i would love to hear more of this stuff from you so i can attempt to understand how to make this kind of thing haha
Have a look at my full length track analysis series on the channel, I talk about modes in pretty much everyone as they are used quite a lot. 😀
Not trying to critique, generally curious: why do you use the OTT plugin vs the OTT setting for multiband within ableton. I was under the impression the plug in is modeled after that preset?
Yeah they are both pretty much the same, it’s just so people using other DAWs can have the same plugins and follow along, sometimes I just use it as it’s easy to access in the collections I have setup too. The one inside serum though is not as good which has always confused me, lack of controls and the mix isn’t great 😁
@@Modul8online education is always a good reason! And yes the one in serum is not great. Appreciate all the in depth track breakdowns. You've taught me more than the hundreds of other videos out there. Thank you for making these!
Thank you for these vids, sir !
Thank you! Make sure to subscribe and turn on notifications too as there are more coming soon! 😁
you actually made more effort than Fred. He just used like 3 Splice Samples to create the track haha
Yes that is true haha, it's very easy to make tracks using splice but the only problem is if someone else uses that sample, better to learn why it's great and make your own version 😀
when is it live
Ableton haven't said yet, it feels like an eternity!
It was beta like 2 months ago so people are saying maybe next week but no one knows
You’ve killed it as always. May I suggest Obskür - I’ve arrived? Insanely groovy
Thankyou!, I'll add it to the list, it might not come up for a while though but it's on my ideas list now.😀
@@Modul8online All good! Im sure you've got a massive list haha keep smashing it💪
awesome analysis! can you take a look at one of MPHs tracks off his new album Refraction?
Any in particular? I'll add it to the list and see if it'll work well to analyse 😀
@@Modul8online personally id like to see Pushing or Cadence to see how they approach the todd edwards style UKG chops
@@itskittens I would also love to see a breakdown of these. that or my mind
I'm using the beta for Drum Sampler. I'm not sure I understand the use case for a totally new plugin instead of updating Simpler. I love Simpler and the Drum Sampler is like Simpler minus a bunch of good modulation parameters. I would have preferred adding the FX features to the Simpler. Maybe I'll figure out some other reasons to use it later.
Yes i completely agree, I think it's aimed more towards producers that don't want or need to delve into extensive modulation, like pitch or filter control and just want to play a sample back with some interesting FX, which Drum Sampler does very well and I will use it more if they make it easier to convert from simpler to Drum Sampler. But I am on your side in that adding the FX to previous simpler and sampler as well as having Drum Sampler would have been the best solution for everyone.
Thanks a lot for your videos!! I follow them all!
Thank you! 😀
Hey mate do you reckon you could add Hans glader feel like mj to the list?
That's a nice tune, i'll add it to the list! Thanks for the suggestion.
NOOO WAYYYYYY LESS GOOOO
Always breaking down perfect songs
The only way to get better!

Love your videos bro
Thankyou! and thanks for supporting the channel 😀 Let me know if you have any song suggestions or topics you'd like covered.
Where is that kick sample from? Operator?
It's from my sample library, I can't remember whether it was made in Operator or Serum though. 😀
Alchemy has had granular synthesis for years. You just load a sample in granular, spectral or additive mode this is just a new GUI
Yes, I think it was pretty difficult to find the granular section in the full Alchemy plugin though so having it as a separate plugin helps, and the interface is much better than the one inside of Alchemy, much easier to understand what's going on.
This is actually just a splice sample
