I am not a plumber. It looks great to me. I heard that the UV light from the sun will break down the PEX pipe. I don't know for sure. As I wright this I wonder if a pool pool noodles covering the pipe would work. Again, this is as much a question as an idea. I mean you well.

Thanks. I looked it up and PEX has UV protectant and coatings but for how long, no one seems to know, it can weaken it. Having said that, covering the exposed PEX would a belt and suspenders kind of thing. The tubing for our solar hot water system has the black exterior insulation, and I think I'll use some of that.

Kevin, I made it 7 and a 1/2 minutes and then gave up on trying to see and guess at whatever you were trying to do. You're camera was positioned in a way that we couldn't see diddly squat because you were blocking the matter saw. You should have set your camera on that little shelf right there to your left pointing at what you were doing, maybe you could redo this whole thing again so anybody that wants to watch it can actually see what you're doing.

When you term off the safety system, it's only off for that cycle of the saw running. Once you turn the saw off, it automatically resets to safe. If you want to use it again without the safety system you have to tern in off again. There's no switch to tern it off, you have to hold the key turned to the right as start the saw and wait for the lights to stop blinking the let go of teh key.

You have a smaller shop, much like mine, as well as the Grizzly 1250 w/canister I see. Biggest improvement I did was to make space for an Oneida super dust deputy XL and place it right next to the Grizzly intake. It collects 99.9% of the stuff before it makes it to the collector and keeps me from having to clean/change its bag (a job I hate). I mounted a heavy duty plastic garbage bin below the Oneida that is easy to pull out. Only super fine dust makes it to the canister and I rarely have to clean it. Remount your Grizzly 90 degrees to the wall and place an Oneida in front of it (between your bay doors).

Be careful with these, the plastic is brittle and will explode if a piece of whatever you're cutting gets launched into the chute. He really should consider using solid plastic or even switching to something like aluminum to keep this from happening.

@@KRWoodworks That's news to me. I follow his channel and socials, he changed the design but mentioned nothing about his manufacturing process as far as I can tell. I'm on my 3rd chute, I bought three... two exploded. The plastic isn't solid. It's hollow, kind of like the zig zag pattern found between the layers of cardboard. That makes it brittle and prone to shattering. Dewalt tried to use plastic for their units but had to do a mass recall for the same issue. I'd hate for this guy to get sued for this. I'll give Travis credit where it's due, his design is wonderful when it works. Stay safe.

Thanks for watching. To include the mobile base it's 31" high. The rest of the dimensions are 24" deep and 15" wide

I just found your channel. You do nice work, thanks for taking the time to document it and post it on TH-cam. Your advice to not keep track of the cost is spot on and it reminded me of when I was building and flying model RC airplanes with my brother. One day I dug out all the receipts and looked up all the online orders I had made over the years and totaled it up. It was a shockingly high total. When I saw my brother, I told him what I had done and before I could tell him the total he cut me off and very sternly asked my "why the **!! did you do that?"

My wake-up call was building a custom Harley. This is something I'd done most of my adult life. Buy a bike, customize it, ride it for years, then do it again. I was building Sorster and decided to keep a record in Excel. After the bike was done did a total of the cost collum. Yike and OUch. Never again.

I'm building out a new miter station now and have been trying to figure out how to make the shelf adjustable to be perfectly in plane - this video came at just the right time, thanks!

Curious about how the cleats are attached to the sides. It looks like you have fasteners running through the 1 1/2 cleat into the 3/4 ply. I'd be interested to know what kind of fasteners you used since they have to carry the weight of the cleats, the shelf, the saw, and the dust collection. Like the leveling system, stealing...

Glue and 2-1/2" #10 steel, not from the big box store, square drive screws, 4 in each cleat. The box with the dust collection stuff sits on the benches not on the shelf. Steal away...👍😆

So I love it. I do believe it's the last drill press I will even own.
