I was tapping out Take 5 on the MPC, and and was curious if anyone ever did 4/4 because when I got a minute I was going to, and still will - but this - I’m fucking loving it!
Its the time signiture this remix is in 4/4 (common time) but the Original is in 5/4. The original has a way diffrent groove. That's roughly what it is but explaining it would take years
As other comments mentioned below, I was annoyed that the remix was in 4, but after replaying, they do a real cool thing here where in the piano it feels like 3 beats + 3 beats + 2 beats so you still feel the bouncyness of the five while the base can still hit on subdivided 1, 3, 5, 7 keeping you in 4/4.
A lot of the bounciness and interest of the piece does come from the 5/4 (and the uneven rhythm underpinning it). It's disappointing it went from Take Five to Techno Syndrome.
Sounds good in 4/4 I must admit, however I'd still love to hear a remix in 5/4, it's a shame most electronic music producers don't explore odd time signatures.
It's really hard i'm searching for remixes of that same song just to get inspired and all i can find till now it's 4/4 beats remixes , i'm thinking to raise the tempo and go for a D'n'B flavor ...we'll see !
@@tomstuart5122 Hey, people were effectively doing that for hundreds of years with waltzes, minuets and boleros. While there are plenty of gigas, chaconnes and tangos are effectively in 2/4, 4/4 or 6/8 (think "He's A Pirate" for a rough idea of how that works as an even time signature), there are plenty of times polite society got politely smashed and took part in the upper-class, ye olde version of a rave party.
Wow, sick remix🎉
LoL I'm still waiting for the main thing to come .. 2h , 2 years later 2 ... Ahhh gonna go to bed thanks anyway lol 🤣
still great :-)
Groovy ✌🏿

Praise
Soul Brotha 00, the original One
someone make a 54/4 version
dopest remix of this song I've heard so far.
This would be good chase music with the chase sounds being dimmed.
What an amazing remix! It sounds modern and doesen't ruin an aestetic of original. Love it!
It got rid of the 5/4, which added a lot of the aesthetic.
what does all 5/4 and 4 means i'm not in a music too much

no shit, this is awesome... 2018 by the way
Sounds more like Take 4
Shame you couldn't keep a 5/4, but, this is the best of all the remixes of this song so... :/
Certenly true, all others are kind of shitty remixs. And also the 5/4!
jesus made the funk....
Jesus made water into wine, Black Jesus made FUNK!
Amen! Jesus is the man!
Fucking nice...........
awesome !!!

Lee Rees do you have an example you recommend? link??
most of them don't even know about other time signatures.
its because its quite hard to dance to whilst intoxicated, might not go down well in a club and hard to mix when djing

Any chance of downloading this?
youtube to mp3 in google
Cynongrey Thanks, but that's not the quality I use in my collection.
+Pierreified With 480p, I don't bet you would get a hell of a quality anyways. And yes, I do comment on posts 8 months later. Fok da police.
+CookieNekoSabata Thanks but it is a mp3-file I'm after in 320 :)
Pierreified You will never get 320 if there's no download link, forget about it xD
this is good, well done
Fresh......
