    Do you have any tips to differentiate between real reliable jobs and scam jobs? I've been looking on Chinese job search websites and also linked in but I found quite a few that were a bit scammy. They take my details and I don't hear from them or I get scam phone calls and SMS right after I provide my details. Either the "kill pig pan/殺豬盤" or they pretend to know you from high school and ask how you are. I have also dealt with head hunters who push me a job which is my bosses' level (PhD with 15+ years experience in MNC) but they didn't check my current role and just asked for my salary then after a quick chat/interview on the phone they took my salary and put it on the job ad (range from half my current salary to my current salary amount). I've been looking for about a year now and I still haven't found anything reliable, I've signed up for the local national talent pool instead but even the head hunter from that program half baited me: I told her I only wanted GZ area since I can only confidently speak Cantonese at research level, she told me my company was fortune 500 and I can choose the province I want to work in. But after I handed I started my application process she told me she can't find my company on the list and asked me to check, turns out my company is only European 180 and I can't choose the province anymore and will have to go into the national lottery next year... It feels like I'm lied to left right and centre😢

    Thank you so much! This video really helped me, now I'll try to start learning like this, by the way, in fact, my teacher told me that it's better not to use fingers, because in the future I can always speak using fingers hahaha, but as I can see, you know Chinese very well and since you learned in such ways, then I will do it too:) I wish you were my teacher hahaha, I’m happy to see this video, thank you

    • @tiakocamille0629
      @tiakocamille0629 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're quite welcome. Well, your teacher might be right, but for me, with time, I noticed that I was able to speak without making mistakes again, and that's how I naturally stopped using my fingers. Mind you, I was only using my fingers when I was in my room. But when I was in public, I made sure to use my head only at the beginning or sometimes just talk without using my head, too. So, if you don't practice with your finger or hand, that's fine too.

    • @tiakocamille0629
      @tiakocamille0629 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sure, I can help you apply. Here’s what you need to prepare if you want to apply for a scholarship in China. 1. Eligibility Requirements Academic Qualifications: A relevant academic background that aligns with the level of study you're applying for (undergraduate, master’s, PhD). Language Proficiency: Depending on the program, you may need to prove your proficiency in Chinese (HSK test) or English (TOEFL/IELTS) if your program is taught in either language. Age Limits: Some scholarships have age restrictions (e.g., under 25 for undergraduate, under 35 for master’s programs). Health Requirements: Some scholarships may require you to provide a medical certificate of good health. 2. Required Documents Application Form: Complete the scholarship’s official application form (typically available online via the scholarship or university's website). Passport: A copy of your valid passport. Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts from your previous schools or universities. Degree Certificates: A copy of your previous degree or diploma (if applicable). Recommendation Letters: Letters of recommendation from professors, academic advisors, or employers (usually 2-3). Personal Statement/Study Plan: A written statement explaining why you want to study in China, your academic and career goals, and why you are a strong candidate for the scholarship. Language Proficiency Proof: HSK score (for Chinese-taught programs) or TOEFL/IELTS score (for English-taught programs). Photograph: Recent passport-sized photos. 3. Additional Documents (If applicable) Research Proposal: For graduate students, especially those applying for PhD scholarships, a research proposal outlining your intended research project may be required. Proof of Financial Support: Some scholarships may require proof of your ability to cover additional costs not covered by the scholarship. Health Certificate: A medical exam report, sometimes required by certain programs. 4. Application Process Online Application: Many scholarship programs, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), require you to apply through an online portal (like the CSC website or the university’s official website). Submission Deadline: Be aware of deadlines for scholarship applications, which may differ depending on the scholarship or university. Deadlines typically fall between January and April for the fall semester. Interviews/Exams: Some programs might require an interview or additional tests as part of the selection process. 5. Scholarship Programs in China Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS): This is the most common and widely offered scholarship for international students. You apply either through the Chinese embassy in your home country or directly through the university. Confucius Institute Scholarship: For students who want to study the Chinese language and culture. University-specific Scholarships: Many Chinese universities offer their own scholarships, which may cover partial or full tuition fees, living expenses, and more. Bilateral Program Scholarships: Some countries have bilateral agreements with China, offering scholarships for students to study there. 6. Other Considerations Financial Planning: Even if the scholarship covers tuition and living expenses, make sure you understand what’s included and whether there are any additional costs (e.g., visa fees, travel costs). Visa: Once awarded the scholarship, you’ll need to apply for a student visa (X visa) to study in China. The scholarship provider or university will usually assist with this.

I'm planning to study in china at an international highschool for 12th grade. So I'm very excited but also super nervous because I know how much more China prioritizes studies and how much more intense it is. School was never really my thing and I tend to be slow on learning especially math. I'm looking forward to moving to china this summer. Do you have any in general advice?

      Hello Mel ! Well, since I first came to China as an international student, therefore I only understand the process of getting admitted in Chinese universities better. I have no clue about international high schools in China but I know international high schools in China are for foreign kids whose parents are living or working in China and were born in China. So if you come and study in an international high school in China your Chinese won’t improve still cause your classmates will be all foreigners and you will be taught in English I think.
