im taking an winter logic/critical thinking class and this was the most helpful video on this topic! thank you sm
Thank you :)
I dont understand the examples. It seems that the GOD concept entails a simpler explanation. After all, I only need to assume GOD, or a simple supreme Being. That just seems a single (and common) assumption. For the Jackass, I need to assume the existence of Jackass, that there are cameras, that there are invisible strings, that Jackass has a given program, that the program is running, that it operates where I am, and that they have chosen me. Seems a lot of of improbable assumptions. I am not sure this is also all that useful because we have priors. GOD as as force can be prior one holds but not all that about Jackass. So the analysis does not operate in a blank slate(because all already entail entire ontologies and epistemologies).
Well that is a question of trust. Trust is defined as "knowing and predicting what person will do'". We do not like unpredictable people or animals. We can handle all 4 of those if we know which one a person is. We may like one of those more or less but we can "trust" them. It doesn't matter which one you are as long as the other person knows it. The moral dilemma is different once we input the real world human interactions in it.
But I think it also commit illicit minor. Please guide me sir
Great teaching method, straightforward, laid back, clear, glad I found your channel

Can an explanation be an arguement at the same time
Been going through your series on philosophy and it has helped me immensely in my class. Thank you for making such good explanation videos!
Thank you but I did exist 😂😂😂
Great explanation sir! Can you answer this sir? All uncaused events are free decisions, but no mental decisions are free decisions, from which it follows that no uncaused events are mental decisions.
Can you explain it as well sir?
-Locke is thinking of a cause that brought him into existence in the past (accidentally ordered series). -But we cannot prove a “primary cause” or “first cause”in an accidentally ordered series. Thus, Locke’s proof is invalid.
Good content. Thank you.
