Alright Nephew I stopped in about 23 minutes. Despite not leaving any money, your father did leave a grand legacy in you and your sister! Everyone always looks at that scripture as money, money, money, but the inheritance is that you believe in Christ Jesus, and your soul is not damned to hell as a result of what your father instilled in you and your sister. My mother did not have a large insurance policy, either, however, my mama was a bad mamma JAMA! That lady on July 7 after she heard the horrible news -made her own funeral arrangements within her life insurance budget so my brother and I would not have to be ❤concerned about anything. No, she did not leave us wealth as in paper, but she left us wealth in Christ Jesus, knowing that we can stand on our own 2 feet and lean into God! The only resentment if you will that I would have, and I will call that regret, is the fact that fear kept my mother from flying, so we didn’t have as much time together as I prayed that we could have had. Other than that yes God does what he wants to do, but what man also has to understand is while we are praying that these sickly loved ones stays here on earth, you don’t know what the individual going through the pain and the struggle is praying. Their prayers are most often totally different for those of us who want to keep them here for selfish reasons. Great podcast up until 23 minutes! I know the remainder is just as good, and I will listen a little later. Keep doing great things, Terrence!

I’d love to hear what you have to say once you’ve heard the whole episode. I think the men did a great job of being vulnerable and expressing the emotional response they had to circumstances that accompanied the passing of their fathers. I count it a privilege to hear people (particularly men) acknowledge and identify their feelings and how they navigated these feelings when the person they would have worked them out with (in this case their dads) were no longer there to process it with. They both pointed to how great their dad’s were and that they left other forms legacy that was indelible and invaluable. So much so, one of them stated that this was the only time their dad didn’t do what he said he would. This is such a healthy way to unpack and realign the mind and heart to mitigate resentments.
