If RGG had used this model from the start, the series would still active

it’s actually nearly impossible on legend/ex hard, I did deathmatch 100 as Kiryu on both my first playthrough (normal) and then legend, and the difference in difficulty was hugeee. It was an actual struggle even though I was using the best character. Enemies gang up on you a lot more, they are more unpredictable, and can rack up a lot of damage on you easily.

Such a shame they never tried what Judge Eyes did with Amon. Thaat is still RGG's best to this day as he wasn't just some cheap health wall and was a fun challenging boss

shinada has a pretty good trick to do a lot of damage with his triangle grapple tackle thing if you do the move while the enemy is touching the wall, the enemy wont have enough time to break away and along you dont mash traingle, shinada wont do the finisher where he slams them into a wall and punches them and you lock the enemy into a wallbound state it allows you to get a bunch of extra damage from non locked on traingle kicks for yakuza 4 style wallbound combos it helps speed up the fights a lot especially for the grind for 1st in the rankings

Shinada is the only one who actually plays the game

currently grinding coliseum again after I put the game on hold for a couple weeks thanks to Akiyamas coliseum bs, which is a shame because I love playing him. It's the last thing I'm missing for the 100% and I'm currently only missing Saejima entirely and Shinadas 100 death match and limited berserk, if they're worse than Akiyamas I might give up.

They grab like Yakuza 4 enemies, drain your heat bar like crazy, and mashing grab break is really tiring They block like Yakuza 3 enemies They track your movement and have almost 0 turn rate, hitting them with a combo from the back from the back isn't as effective as in Y3 & Y4 All of them have Komaki sidestep hook move and Komaki knockback All of them have healthbar that put final bosses to shame Game was balanced around food with Tatsuya trainings, and someone like Akiyama and Shianda literally got balanced through drunk mechanics so they can get the same damage output as Kiryu and Saejima, but they're all banned in Coliseum Akiyama strongest kit was his launch strike, yet all of them are immune to it Like holy shit do they even tested this game? I have plat every single Yakuza games before this one and this is unironically the worst Coliseum in Yakuza
