There is many roundebouts, Roads and streets in Europe are narrow. Polish drivers driver quite fast. If you are foreigner and Police will pull you over for road law violation you will have to pay fine in Polish złoty - PLN on the spot. Rent fwd or AWD compact car, midle class car or compact SUV. Stay away from RWD cars, big SUVs and pickup trucks not only because narrow roads but also parking spots are small

This video looked like it was filmed around 2005 - Pécs is a nice looking city and quite well maintained, but gives the look of being left behind a little in time. Would like to go see for myself, I have a feeling I would like this place.

Yes I think you should have winter tires on, it always depends on the weather but in this early stages of the Grossglockner opened, there are still a lot of snow nearby the roads, the wind can blow it on the road and the temperatures often below 0. Also the melting snow can freeze to the surface of the road, so it would be dangerous to drive here with summer tires in May. For up to date road conditions I recommend you to visit this website before your travel: www.grossglockner.at/en
