Surprise Canyon | Death Valley Panamint City
March of this year I hiked solo to Panamint City. This is a video of my trip. When I got back down to my truck on day two I drove up the South Park Canyon and camped a second night at the top of the mountain then in the morning drove down Pleasant Canyon Road which was in pretty bad shape but I made it through.

Arroyo Burro Trail - 0:50 | Cold Springs Trail - 3:33 | Tunnel Trail - 25:32 Spent the weekend in Santa Barbara riding new trails with a bunch of new friends. I didn't get the entire first trail on camera because I had mounted my GoPro in a bad spot on my helmet visor. I know this video is long but these trails are really long. Enjoy the chunkiness. My first ride down Troy Lee trail in Corona on my new Deviate Claymore. New trail plus new bike and a hard corner through me for a spin. Luckily I was somehow able to dismount the bike and run it out. Put some scratches on the the new machine but oh well.

Have to check out that place. Great video
Sheeshhh i went there at the perfect time it was about 2 weeks ago and the weather was amazing! Looks like a nice dusting of snow up there, good stuff man that hike is pretty strenuous. Happy explorin'
That's awesome! I'm going to be heading up again in a few weeks to try and get to the summit this time.
I've been wanting to make that loop. But looks super overgrown and washed out now. Thanks for sharing. You were getting it done!
Yea, that was earlier this year. I'm headed back there in a few weeks to do it again. We'll see how it goes!
Wow awesome! May i know whats your wheel and tyre setup like? Is the ranger lifted?
33in tires. no lift. Completely stock.
@@nickbreakseverythingis that a 285/70/17 bf goodrich on a raptor rim?
@@mlbBORNEO Yes on the tire size and then the rims are the wheels that come on the Tremor package.
I remember this hike on your IG stories! Epic! And the drive out was insane!
Is that the same Ranger you had at Buck Island? I don't see any damage. Todd and I were at Alabama Hills the weekend before you started this hike. Also drove up Horseshoe Meadows. First time there. Great video, great scenery. Enjoyed watching.
Yea, it's the same Ranger. The dent in the bed is on the driver side. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yea it was so beautiful of there.
You are riding where it's hit, it's supposed to snow this weekend

Thanks for sharing! Wonder if Ford knows their FX4 Ranger cannot handle a water crossing.
Seriously hahahaha
I had no clue this type of writing was even possible❤
Hey, I know that dude on the blue Yamaha 😮
Yea, he is a good dude!
@@nickbreakseverything that dude fucking SUCKS! I hate that little man.
Genuinely curious, you’re just ok with thrashing that truck? I mean if I won the lottery Sure… 😳
This is a great honest question. I definitely see it from a different perspective than thrashing my truck. The memories of people I've met and places I've been and enjoyment I get testing my limits as well as my equipment's limits far out way anything else. I have crinkled a few different vehicle before the Ranger so I am no stranger to body damage. It's just metal. I actually admire trail damage if you could believe that. Now don't get me wrong. I don't intentionally try and damage my vehicles but I'm also not necessarily afraid to try a hard line that may dent or scratch the truck up. The way i see it is that I have more fun in one day in my truck than others ever have the entire time they own their vehicle. 😄
Wondering if you could have made a left at mile 6 and then head south down to Seven Pines road instead of going all the way to the Siberian Creek Camp and climb up Camp Creek?
Yea, we could have done that way too. Two weeks before we did this ride we hiking down and cleared as much as we could. The trail to the right was really overgrown. Also our car was parked at the top of Camp Creek
This and pt2 were a fucking RIDE man lol hell yeah
Glad you enjoyed it 😄😄😄
That’s impressive that the ranger made it to buck and back frighting steering out of buck is horrible I busted my return hose on my ps pump on my 84 Toyota pickup at buck and had to drive out on 35s no power steering with a front ratchet locker
Yea, driving without power steering through rocks is never easy.
Omg I always look at that platform and have dreamed of drop big off it but I’m always to scarf
There were so many posts about that Ranger being out there......
That was epic! Good job man. Why didn't your camera man drive one of the vehicles?
He did after I drove out of Buck Lake. My camera man had never rock crawled before so I drove my vehicles through those 'tougher obstacles' before he jumped in to drive my Jeep.
Hell yeah, Im sick of people gatekeeping the rubicon especially, how you need 46in tires, 12lockers and the protection as big as the great wall of china. Truly inspiration that with whatever you have you can have fun with it!
Yes! Yes! And Yes!
Great video! Ford should take notice! Pretty amazing that a stock ranger made it to Buck. Also I saw this in person and thank you for cleaning up the oil messes with the oil spill kit and enzymes! Bravo!!
I was wondering if my 31s would get me through the Rubicon. I suppose I'll need sliders and a front locker at least? haha
Yea, sliders are a must. I suppose you could get away with 31s if you have more ground clearance than my ranger. The ranger is very low to the ground. If I had 31s on my Jeep then I could easily get through just cause it has so much more ground clearance.
That makes sense.. way to persevere
Awesome trip! What are your plans for the ranger?
Fabricate a high clearance rear bumper and trim the back of the bed sides where they got pushed in and install a winch.
Still have some stuff left to break! Nice work!
That's pretty wild but did you clean up your oil spill at buck? Sure doesn't look like it.
I did. I used the stuff that one of the Rubicon members gave me for cleaning oil off rocks and made many passes to attempt to clean it as best I could.
This is my style, totally. Taking car totally to its limits while everybody around wondering are you just insanely stupid or what ?:D Will follow your adventures for sure :D
That's literally what everyone that saw me was thinking and saying. I was having a great time. Until I was sick.
Well you won’t have to worry about scratching it next time you go
You sir, are Hardcore asf, I don’t think many will even attempt to do the rubicon in a stock Jeep wrangler rubicon (33s/35s with front rear locker sway bar dis), and you do it in a stock ford ranger!! Crazy mofo!! 👏👍👏😱😳
I like an adventure!
This is completely crazy on so many levels. I love it !!
What ended up being wrong with the Rangers steering, anything?
The electric motor was filled with water and it shorted it.
Good job. We all have these Rubicon stories 👍
Like that ? I think not.
It was a crazy few weeks on the Rubicon this year. A lot of people were definitely tested. That's what it is all about though!
This day changed me 😅
Such a wild experience. Nicely done Nick
