In my devotions this morning I read Matthew 13. Its many parables on the Kingdom really made me think. This evening I finished the SCF series on Anabaptist history and TH-cam suggested this sermon next. Thank you for helping me consider the two kingdoms again today.

At 31:30 you speak about the Berthold Haller holding to a stance like, "We are to be guided by love, your insistence that we only accept people who are truly converted is too narrow & it is unloving. Most people aren't ready for that; we need to be more accommodating. You're just being unloving. You're being so unloving we're not going to let you do that." Compared to Hans Hotz position. I tried asking ChatGPT to qualify this stance with sources but it seemed woefully inadequate. Is there any reading you'd recommend that shows this battleground as you've stated it? You go on to say you can make love the final arbiter of all disagreements to do whatever you want to do. And I absolutely agree, but I want to be sure this isn't being anachronistic of what was really discussed. Which is why I'm asking for additional reading. I've really enjoyed the series so far! Update: After some searching I was found "The Bernese Disputations of 1532 and 1538: A Historical and Theological Analysis", the dissertation of Stephen Brett Eccher for his Doctor of Philosophy, carried out in the University of St. Andrews (in 2011).

Thank you very much for that teaching, my pre-mil view has been strengthened by it. I have never understood amill people. Why would anyone want to allegorize close to 1/3 of the Bible? The pre-mil view was not invented by Darby. While I can appreciate quite a bit of what brother Daryl said, to throw the baby out with the bath water is not the answer. That King Jesus will literally rule and reign on earth finds its origin in Genesis, not with Darby, and can easily be traced through the entire Bible consummating in Revelation. Scriptures speak clearly on the restoration of all things including the nation of Israel. Acts 1:6-8, Acts 3: 19-21, plus countless prophecies throughout the entire Bible. It’s bizarre to try and allegorize it all, it goes against biblically sound hermeneutics and exegesis. Concerning the text in Daniel 9:24-27. Daryl stated that the passage speaks of Christ. Yes, verse 26a does speak of Christ but the rest of the verse and chapter does not, it’s impossible. He also stated that we take our entire theology from one word in the passage, the word He. This is a false accusation. We get our theology from the whole of scripture, Daniel just sheds a whole lot of light on everything. Jesus then sheds more light and draws from Daniel, and Paul then sheds even more light and draws from Daniel and Jesus. Daryl spent most of his time in 1 Thes and he stated that he doesn’t believe in an actual antichrist figure. It’s too bad he didn’t just keep reading into 2 Thes. In ch 2 Paul clearly mentions this individual and that this individual will not be manifested until the restrainer is removed. We currently do not know who or what this restrainer is. Daryl shouldn’t feel bad for using the term “church age.” It is a relatively new term, only about 2000 years old and it won’t be around forever. The church age ends when Jesus returns to set up His millennial reign here on earth. Paul tells us in Romans that blindness in part has happened to Israel -for how long? Until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. The fullness of the Gentiles marks the end of the church age. The word dispensation is not altogether a bad word. Unfortunately the anabaptist people have made it one. With a simple reading of the scriptures one would never come to an amill view. This view has been forced into the text via allegorizing, bad hermeneutics and frankly not believing that God will do what He said He will. The Amillennial view has no future! (Pun intended) P.S. Hi Brandon I believe we have met before

Loneliness isn’t caused by being “alone:” It’s a lack of genuine intimate connection. Adam was connected to his creator and yet God said Adam needed a companion. So having a close relationship with God is not enough to quell lack of human connection. Widowhood had taught me to daily ask for a human connection. Haven’t received a JW letter either. Already tried attending churches but rural East Texas churches seem to have a “locked arm” social circle. Not interested in seeking non-Christian friendship.

Thank you for this message, it spoke to me and confirmed what I believe is described in the Bible. It gave me more words to my thoughts that I can use when speaking about this subject to other believers that haven’t yet taken this position. If I may ask you to consider one thing, it is to think about the use of the term “Anabaptist”. It has its good places to be used, but sometimes the message feels so directed to only them that belongs to that culture, instead of all Christians, and I think that what is being preached from you is most definitely to all that consider themselves followers of Christ. I am sure that it is not your intention to exclude anyone, and that is why I wish to bring it up. May God continue to bless your congregation and loved ones, in the name of Jesus. ❤

Hello Anna, Thank you for your encouragement! I appreciate your suggestion that I use a broader term than Anabaptist. Some people would suggest the term "Kingdom Christian" as those who believe that Jesus' Kingdom is both now and not yet and that Jesus Himself is indeed now reigning--as we Anabaptists do believe. God bless you in your journey with Him. Brandon Byler

@@BrandonHeatherByler Thank you for your reply, Kingdom Christian is a very good term that I see myself as and I wish many more will. Know that your sermons have blessed me tremendously since I started my walk with the Lord almost four years ago. I believe that He led me to you and others, that teach Scripture well so I could not only know about God but also know more how to live for Him. Your teaching is helping me go deeper than just surface level and for that I am so thankful. Be blessed ❤

There’s more that could be said but very good. Pretty simple what will be heard and what will happen to death at that time. 1 Corinthians 15:52-54 KJV In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

How you have grown in your development and variety of harmonies and rhythms since your first concert two years ago! Your beautiful blend of voices was evident then, but the changes you have made in the interim have added a new depth and level of artistry. You have gone well beyond "the written notes" to present a skillful, moving, and heartfelt offering to the Lord. Thank you for your commitment to praise Him in this way! I am so thankful.
