The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones. There's an entire book series this is made from. They didn't make enough revenue to keep going with the full series of movies like the books, but there is a series from ABCfamily/Freeform called shadowhunters. It's not as good tho or close to the books as this movie was really close and almost perfectly made from the first book of the series city of bones :)

He is definitely the best as he had the most developed character arc and so charismatic

@@n0t.x_luluxHe didn’t adopt Jace. Valentine forced his loyal follower Stephen to marry someone else he wasn’t actually in love with after making him divorce his wife whom he actually loved. Valentine then experimented on Stephen’s wife Celine and she died before giving birth due to the grief she felt at learning about Stephen’s death. Which by the way was orchestrated by Valentine because Valentine didn’t give a sh*t about anyone really. Valentine then stole the child and yes raised him as his son while assuming the identity of Michael Wayland. All he did was put that boy through trauma as he raised him. And along the way he taught Jace that to love was to destroy. And then he faked his own murder in front of Jace and therefore sent Jace to live with strangers who eventually became family. It was such a tragedy. That man was nuts.
