Thank you for your very detailed comment. You are right, controversy shouldn't have a time limit. I also recognize that people bring up the Ubisoft 2b Collab as a comparison to the Stellar Blade DLC regardless of the age. Despite the time difference, the issue arises when comparisons are made as if they should be held by the same exact standard. Each showcases the different executions of 2B in their respective videogame. While there may be a pattern of Western Studios toning down sexy elements in a game, it is not exclusively a western thing. When Super Smash Bros. Ultimate brought in Pyra and Mythra, they had to change their outfits in a more SFW style. Such changes included the addition of leggings, and covering up of boob windows. These changes are similar to the Ubisoft alterations of 2B in R6. The severity of these changes could be argued, but both changes were made to better fit in with the game they were being added to. With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it comes from Eastern Studios. Though Western Studios may have had an influence in this decision, the changes were made to appeal to the family friendly nature of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in mind. The feedback to this change may have had a little controversy, but many found the changes tasteful and in some cases more appealing than the original. I don't say this to say that the 2B skin looks better than the original 2B. I bring this up to show that skin changes are not necessarily always to removed the sexiness out of women. It would be nice for skins to be 1:1 with the original IP, but most of the time that isn't the case. With Stellar Blade, the opposite approach was done were 2B was made to be even more sexy. You do have a valid point of "Either do the cross over properly or don't do it at all." I would argue that the developers got as close as they could to 2B without compromising gameplay. In a game where visuals to matter a lot, I think they got a good balance. The only changes they could make to this skin would be with the outfit and its textures. For the skin to be more akin to the original design, there would be a compromise in the base model. However, if the issue is that the skin doesn't look good enough to be a good collab skin for 2B, then you are valid in your stance. The problem I have with this controversy is the narrative that comes with it. This controversy is used to push the narrative that women are only allowed to look sexy in videogames and anything that doesn't resemble that should be ridiculed. I am not against sexy characters in video games. I am rather for it as video games do benefit from more appealing designs. And I also believe bad designs should be criticized. However, I am just confused what exactly this controversy is trying to accomplish. This skin may have drawn controversy upon release, but it was mainly for the reasons you described pertaining realism in R6. I don't recall a large disdain for the skin not looking sexy enough upon release. It was only upon the release of the Stellar Blade DLC that the quality of the R6 skin was called into question. I have heard this issue with women not looking good enough in video games so many times. Not all criticism is bad nor was only directed to women before such as the sonic movie. However it seems as if any rendition that makes changes is open to relentless bashing. Tifa, Chun Li, Lara Croft, Ada Wong, and so many more have gotten controversies in any new designs. For most of these changes, it was used to belittle trans people or value women only as sex objects. For Tifa, the change from a cropped tank top to a sports bra got so much hate. There is nothing wrong with preference, I just take issue with "Women have to look like this or else." Most video game women designs are used to sell sex, but these women have become more than just titties on a screen. I believe it is a dangerous pattern that is being spread throughout the gaming community with these repeated controversies. Sexy designs won't fade into obscurity, in fact we are living in a renaissance of sexy women in video games such as Marvel Rivals, ZZZ, Fortnite, and even the previous women mentioned have gotten more sexier designs. The latest is Mai Shiranui whose design was revealed in SF 6 that looks almost exactly like her King of Fighters counterpart. Most of these may be Eastern Studios and Western Studios could learn something from this. I do agree on this point that Eastern Game Studios have more appealing women designs. However I disagree that women should only be used as sex appeal in video games. We should be celebrating great designs and not be putting down other designs that don't fit into this standard. I agree with your statement sexy women in video games is a good litmus test and games don't always need sexy women. However I do disagree with the stance that this skin doesn't pass the test. Changes were made but I believe it is not egregious enough to warrant the overwhelming controversy. If we see more controversies like this one, I believe more valid issues will have their impact diminished because of it. This is like the Boy Who Cried Wolf Story. The time difference just makes this issue more apparent. People didn't have problems because of how it impacted their visual experience in the video game. They had issues with how a woman didn't look hot enough. At the end of the day, how the skin looks and feels in game is the most important factor. If we continue to take issue with how each woman looks in a video game, gamers voices won't be taken seriously.

I do like 21 pilots!!! Vessel is a comfort album for me, I revisit it every now and again. I love Guns for Hands, Semi Automatic, and Migraine. I hear Clancy is real good tho, loved Next Semester. If 2019 had a Spotify Wrapped they would've been on mine for sure lmao.

@Happy to hear i got to motivate someone instead of others motivating me. Honestly, views don’t even motivate me that much. Views are just what TH-cam’s algorithm thinks; comments are what people think, and that’s what really matters. Views only make me happy because they bring more comments. If I didn’t get a few “remember me when you’re famous” comments now and then, I don’t think I’d spend so much time making videos. Also, don’t be insecure about something that looks great on you-like the wig. I try to see TH-cam as a place where I can do anything without shame or the judgment I’d get in real life. Theres a reason i use pink in everything on here :3 And yeah, I get what you mean about the background music. What I always try to do is trick people into thinking I’m more famous than I am. Elden Ring does exhaust the player so much, there is so much I wanted to talk in this regard. However, I felt that it would've dragged the video too long and warrants its own video. Several factors are responsible for this which include reusing bosses (often with worse arenas), cheap kills that become annoying the second time around, and as you said the way to beat bosses. The boss health is this game can range from abysmal to absolute brick houses. It can be very easy to over level and dump on a boss first try without ever learning how they attack. This happened to me with the divine beast dancing lion (the first dlc boss). I couldn't relate to any discussion about this boss because I didn't go through the same process of learning the fight. Missing this boss fight was one of the reasons why I wanted to start another playthrough. Its amazing you've played dark souls 3 for that much, I've always heard great things about the game. The other souls games have been on my to-do list as well but it does take a bit of commitment. I tried Sekiro once and that was a really difficult game. And yeah you're right, the dick measuring contest is not fun lol. Whenever talking about games with friends, we never compare but when looking at community interaction, it can often be the default response. @@LunaNK22 I'm not tryna defend someone like that guy, but does it really matter what people think of single player games? I love elden ring and loved the DLC even more, despite all the haters. My enjoyment of the game is not influenced by what other people think. i feel like I'm crazy hearing people say fromsoftware fans 'ruin' the game, when they literally can't. Not tryna be rude or anything, just genuinely curious what the thought process is.

​@@BOBSUSANBOBSUSAN just mainly the gatekeeping mentality, the classic example is when some new player play the game badly, or asking for some advice, the only reply they get are "you're suck/get good", even using summons can trigger them into throwing slurs.. it's just really a toxic fan base, just an opinion

@@BOBSUSANBOBSUSAN You're right, it shouldn't matter what other people think. Especially because it is a single player game that encourages many different ways of playing. I also hear the common phrase of "fromsoft fans ruin the game" and a little guilty myself of using it to much. The point I was trying to get across was that it can be difficult to talk about gameplay aspects without criticizing how it is the incorrect way to play. I also tend to judge in my head sometimes when looking at others play unfortunately. Criticizers can't ruin the enjoyment of the game itself, it just becomes difficult to talk about the game without judging each other. Personally, it just sits in the back of my head that someone will say I didn't beat the game correctly no matter how I play. I think that's the double edge sword elden ring's freedom brings. It allows for everyone to find a playstyle that suits them, but also is open to elite-ism. Thank you for your comment, it really made me think about how exactly fromsoftware fans "ruin" the game or if they even do. If you're not gonna do a guest character/ skin justice then just don't do it? That's the issue I have, the 2B skin just looks absolutely horrible, and if they felt the need to censor it then why in the fuck even add it to begin with? If you feel the need to censor a guest character/ skin then it shouldn't even be added to begin with.

Thank you for mentioning that! That was on my mind before making this video. Unfortunately, I tend to forget a lot and am trying not to create to many tangents as it was a bad habit. I did sum up the release a bit too much so I'm glad you mentioned that there still was controversy. I do plan to make a comparison between old and new siege someday as the topic of old vs new multiplayer videogames is worth talking about.
