Hey! In this one, I remind us all that the Fender Player II series of guitars only has minor upgrades and the Player series is still relevant especially as prices come down. #fenderguitar #fenderguitars
Gibson Les Paul Tribute Review

Hey! In this one, I review a Gibson Les Paul Tribute. It's a basic guitar, by Les Paul standards, but it plays and sounds very good indeed. #guitar #guitars #guitarreview #guitarreviews #lespaul #lespaultribute #gibsonlespaul #gibsonguitars
I got mine for $900 with shipping from a church on Reverb. Love it. I now own a Gibson LP!
Def nitro finish which is awesome
Tempting, till I looked at guitar weight. All of them are heavy!
@@chippsterstephens6800 true!
What a pitty they don't make them in Asia instead of the "North America".
@@ran6009 Squier!
need this beautiful instrument
Cant believe they discontinued the tribute.
Great job. I have the Honeyburst. Love it.
Player series pickups sound better to me than the 2 series.
Absolutely fantastic ❤😊
@@aminahmed2220 Thank you.
Yeah, the rolled edges aren't very rolled over. True!
The inspection/setup info is in 64th’s of an inch. The finish is undoubtedly satin nitro - not poly and the neck wood seems to vary depending on the finish (and probably what Gibson had in stock on the day). The neck on mine(satin iced tea) is definitely mahogany - the grain is so different from maple that there’s absolutely no doubt - but I would have preferred maple because, as you say, it’s harder and I like the contrast between the two woods on the reverse. I prefer the understated look of my Tribute over my shiny, flamed, bound up 60s Standard - bling is not my thing - but the Burstbuckers on my Standard are really nice. Thanks for the video and nice playing too. Cheers
What year is it from? From 2019 to whenever they discontinued it (2023 I think) they came with maple neck and ultra modern weight relief.
@@joestrkr it’s a late 2022 build which could account for the mahogany neck as they may have run out of maple blanks just before the end of the production run. It weighs just 7lb 8oz so the ultra modern relief is evident in those numbers (my 60s Standard is 8lb 12oz by comparison). I have two Tele’s which are even heavier but I mostly prefer a lighter guitar so the Tribute gets quite a lot of use. It’s a much maligned model that makes people turn their noses up, but it’s a great package which sounds and feels every inch a proper Les Paul
Shouldve left it creme.
