Lakselv Olderø 2022 opening
The opening week kicked off June 20th. Challenging fishing for the early runners but the reward is so much worth the effort put into it.

Laxá í Adaldal, Icelands big fish river #1
มุมมอง 1.6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
It’s probably the most legendary salmon river in Iceland. Not only is the river big but so are the salmon. No other river in Iceland produces more 20 pound plus fish each season and even with a chance of a 30 pound/110 cm. Here a dairy from some of my time on a river that has gone through many challenges, but is still favored by many anglers from around the world, joining increasing number of v...

In search of the big ONE on River Víðidalsá
มุมมอง 1.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
True adventures, not many of those around with pool signs at most at the fishing spots. But they do exist and I found myself a little adventure on the stunning upper canyon of river Viðidalsa. It is not an area you go into without the risk of coming floating back down the river with a few broken bones. But climbing, wading upstream in the river and finding what to me is new water is simply a fa...
Monster Salmon from Laxá í Aðaldals Nes beat

Closing up the season under tough circumstances on Laxá í Aðaldals Nes beat. - Cold, flood and fish glued to the bottom but one loosened up. - First, it just touched the fly gently on a classic swing. On the second cast, I stripped the fly and ... 109 x 56 cm male Salmon. Pool: Óseyri Filmed by Niels Vestergaard
Tarpon and Bonefish in Biscayne Bay
มุมมอง 5535 ปีที่แล้ว
One luxury of having an office in Miami is that there is always some kind of fish swimming the Biscayne Bay just out side town. - Including the some of the biggest Bonefish in the world and all season Baby Tarpon. Here what you could expect on a good morning on the water.

Biggest Icelandic salmon caught in 2018
มุมมอง 1.7K5 ปีที่แล้ว
19th July, River Laxa i Adaldals Nes beat. - This monster took a freshly made Stormy Daniels Fly. There is some truth to it, old guys like Stormy Daniels : ) This Salmon was the biggest in Iceland from the 2018 season.
Blanda hitching
มุมมอง 6K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Blanda is normally considered a river where you fish sink tips and big flies. I could not agree less. Floating line and a riffling hitch is deadly! See for yourself.
Punta Allen 2003
มุมมอง 2818 ปีที่แล้ว
A introduction of a little paradise called Punta Allen on the Yucatan. In 2003, it was rather untouched and the fishing amazing. Huge numbers of small Bone Fish but also Permit, Tarpon, Snook and others. A great place to start up tropical saltwater fly fishing.

Those are some of the most magnificent and beautiful trout I’ve ever seen, they’re actually whales in disguise! Makes me want to get on a flight tomorrow to Iceland, not only for the gargantuan trout but indescribably beautiful land it is.

How to the fish grow so big. What sort of feeding is there for them. I always thought as a volcanic enviroment there wouldn be much life in the lakes , thought it would be too acidic.

Stunninly beautiful fishing scenery and gorgeous monster trout. The looks of those fish are identical to sea trout ´ s. The monsters of this video have any access to the sea or are landlodked altogether?

The colder the water is, the better survial rate it is upon unhooking and releasing. In warm water (over 10..15 °C), one can better take them up for food, than let them go to waste, dying from lack of oxygen and exhaution after the fight.

Really nice video ! I wanted to go end of august for fishing sea trout and artic char..But I don't know yet when is the better time.. Do you think that will be good in this lake in this time ? Is it better in june or it's good all summer ? Thanl you very much and thank you for your nice video..

      @nilsjrgensen9911 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks you! ION is most likely the only area you can catch the trout in August on Thingvallavatn. But Otherwise, August is when the sea trout and char enters the rivers and a good time for that. Do they only get this size when the head out to the lakes for more food? In New Zealand we seem to have those size browns though in the rivers, and a different colour, I love the fresh silver on those trout!

no interest ! I even have doubts about the origin of the population of these bland colored trout ... I much prefer to fish my beautiful French rivers in search of a 40 cm monster 😀 with a magnificent dress because of pure wild strain ... and we must deserve it but it is all the more fun. No really these bodybuilt trout don't make me dream. 😐😶
