DEQ2496 Control: Behaviour of the DEQ2496 regarding FBD handling
มุมมอง 9782 ปีที่แล้ว
The Behringer DEQ2496 set FDB settings to default in some cases. If a FBD is set to AUTO or SINGLE-Mode the parameters of BW and GAIN are set to default after recalling a preset or power on/of the unit. This is wanted because the values are set by the DEQ2496 automatically. The only way to keep all parameters is to use the locked mode. My unit has Firmware 2.5. Please leave a comment if your un...

In this version i included a schematic diagram of the ...

Good Quality? Worth the Money?
Not easy to answer. It depends on your needs. My measurement was done in 2019. I can't say if the current product has the same transformers.
@bigdaudio6932 Ty for answer. There's not very much good isolators on the market. I will try this.
i ned dasn kabel i find no shop heeelp
Which country?
Hi. 1) The first question - is the top cover metal or plastic? From the inside I see in the video that it is plastic, but as I understand it, it is like a sandwich? Is there still a top layer of metal, painted with black glossy paint? and 2) The second question - Many write that Reloop RP are based on the OEM Hanpin DJ 5500, like the Audio-Technica AT 140 or Pioneer DJ PLX-1000. Can you confirm? Just judging by your video, inside this TURN 5 is absolutely different: in the boards, and in the tonearm, and in small parts, and in the motor. Although with the Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 the similarity in the motor is 100%. Apparently, each manufacturer still makes its own changes and improvements. I also found a disassembly of the new Technics 1210 MK7 (1500C) - of course, everything there is much, much better made, more modern, better quality.
1: Yes, you're right, it is a sandwich structure. The top is metal, the bottom is plastic. 2: The TURN5 is a brother of the RP 7000 MK2. There are many parts made exclusive for Reloop (for example Tonearm, Motorcontrol PCB, Audio Out PCB). Other parts are OEM parts like the motor and platter design. The AT-LP140XP is a complete different design, see th-cam.com/video/5qFlpIKZcfo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5Wce2am-wl-7Bxvr
I see most all taiwanese turntables have this issue with wobly platter
Is it possible to connect this interface to a smartphone or tablet?
Does it help to remove the transformer to get rid of that hum when the needle is on the record WITH the motor OFF?
I don't own this turntable anymore but it's sibling Turn5 is damm quiet with transformer inside.
Is it possible to connect a guitar to this device?
Yes. This device can be switched to high impendace input each channel sepratly. Called Hi-Z.
Are you satisfied with the quality of the audio interface?
I'm using it for speech recordings. It works fine fpr me.
@jeffk8359 You can find my tool here: www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/new-tool-for-behringer-deq2496.370213/post-6997801 I've tested the following Interfaces: Prodipe usb1.1 Prodipe Usb 2.0 Presonus Audiobox 96 Midi-Ports Behringer UMC-204HD Midi Ports Some users reports that the Roland UM-One will also work Kind reagards
what does it means the 4 components remains in the signal path? could they make some noise or something like that? Thx for the video!
The problem is that the sound of a cartridge depends on its capacity load. The remaining components must be added to the cable capacity and the pre-amp capacity. They will affect the resulting tone in this matter.
@@bigdaudio6932 in what way? Reducing highs?
Yes, you're right. It reduces highs.
@@bigdaudio6932 can I just break the lanes and pass the signal without them or maybe insert metal wire instead of them? Will it increase noise or something?
@@vitaliistep I would leave the turntable as it is. The components are part of the internal grounding. I would prefer a Phono-Pre with changeable input capacity.
Hello BIGD AUDIO, do you have a prefered midi to usb interface also how much is your program as I have been wanting to control my deq2496 from my listening position for over 20 years please advise and where do i get your software. And do you sell a hardware software bundle for purchase in the USA respectfully, Jeff
thanks!
let me ask in general whether this turn 5 series has problems, what are they? thanks!
How do you think, is Turn 5 really worth money compared with reloop7000 mk2 ?
The scope of delivery is very different. The Turn5 includes the cover and the OM2 Red cartridge. None of them is in the RP7000MK2 package. Technically there are one Family. But the output pcb is also different. The Turn5 is classicaly grounded with a separate ground wire and NO components in the signal chain. The RP is internely grounded even when you switch off the preamp on the back side. Hope this helps.
@bigd audio would you recommend the Turn 5?
Yes, it's my all-day turntable.
I have seen here on TH-cam in various tests that it does not have a fixed platform, etc. but is it true?
Big Thanks and GooD Luck !!! ))
i would realy like to see the mic imput stage of that thing,.. is it a fully IC based solution? or discrete or some kind of hybrid of both?!
To gowno nie działa
hi. I am trying to run on windows 10 but DEQ2496 is not found -- I followed the instructions exactly. any ideas?
On Windows 10 the most problems comes from the USB-Interface. There are many interfaces which are not working correctly. The second know issue is that it will not work on virtual pc's.
I disassembled my Turn 3 mk1 and damn the tonearm installed on it is cheap.
Thank for your review,i have this keyboard, but i don t understending in have sequencer, you know?thank you
Thank you for this video! Could you please do the same thing for the Swissonic Audio 2 (released in december)?
Hello ! Do you have a link for the driver of the swissonic audio 2 please? I don’t find it 🙏
I bought one. Only true 24/96 khz does not work. But that’s ok.
I just got done following your directions after waiting 14 days for the midi interface to arrive from Poland. This works perfectly. Just a note when I performed the initial configuration using the Prodipe MIDI USB 1in/ 1 out the description was "USB MIDI Interface" for both INPUT and OUTPUT. In your video it actually shows the Prodipe name. Just one thing I wanted to point out. Other than that the setup works flawlessly. Thank you!
thankyou sir
thank you... I intend to buy used DEQ2496, but I worry about the condition of the buttons and knobs. this software could be the solution if somehow the button & knob become problematic.
I use this interface with a mac mini . Install without driver. Works amazingly with logic pro X
Hanpin Super oem 😄
cool
exact the same as pioneer plx-1000
