Sittingbourne is one of those towns that just exists with no discernible reason to visit. I found the Spoons to be cramped. Spoons in Whitstable is much classier.

Memories. There used to be a model shop in Willsden that I used to love spending time browsing. The model kits he had were eclectic, and the owner was always friendly and welcoming and didn't mind me wandering around for ages. I miss those days.

You should give the model shop at Teynham a visit (just up the A2 about 3 miles from Faversham , got a train station so accessable ), loads of models paint ect,and the couple that run it are lovely people.

I know shops have to diversify to stay afloat but I used to make regular trips on the train to this shop purely for my model railway bits and supporting locals, but not of late as now very little in stock and having to order on line and pay the extortionate cost of the post office deliveries and absolute crap service, shame as now very little in way of model railway shops in the North Kent area and what is having to incur large costs in fuel & parking etc to get to them.🤓

I was in the shop on Tuesday. Swapped a couple of 1.48 scale (too big for me) for a couple of 1.72. Brought that Heller vampire no decals and a couple of other unusual planes. Crazy shop ,crazy Chris.

Ohh wow this just appeared out of nowhere, this shop brings back some memories for me, don’t know if it’s just me but I love this little hidden road with the shops on it, it’s almost as if you wouldn’t know it was here if you didn’t live in this area, ..maybe just me ? I brought a petrol remote controlled car from this shop around 30 odd years ago and I remember a young Asian lad took the time to build it for me and added a two speed gearbox which was quite time consuming but he was very patient and a lovely lad, few years ago I went back in there and enquired about him as I was browsing and was told he had passed in a motorbike accident 😢 thanks for the video man 😊

Someone needs to get a pricing gun and sort out those shelves. I believe it is still the case that Hobbycraft Maidstone serves as the collection point for other stores' clearance lines. So upstairs there shold be a large clearance zone where other kits might turn up.

Great video mate, seriously, I know you said you don't plan on making too many of these but I really enjoyed it. Love your reaction to things, probably helps that this film is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, my favourite bit of your video, 'I hope his girlfriend doesn't have that certain disease from that time', 'Shit.....' 😅 Shawshank is an awesome movie, I think you will love it but be warned, very emotional.
