Using a pin stitch locks the thread onto the fabric. The 3 little stab stitches are there for extra security. This is my far the most secure way to anchor your thread.

Needle painting|Silk Shading of a small, simple flower petal. For the petal behind the others, 3 colors were used. On the regular flower petal, 5 colors were used going from light to dark. The easy technique can be achieved by anyone with a little patience. I cast on my thread using a pin stitch and extra tiny stab stitches.

Short look at the process of silk shading, also known as needle painting embroidery. With with Au Ver a Soie d’Alger. But any thread can be used. Use a single thread, and a size 10 embroidery needle.
The confidence in how and where you place your stitches shows your talent and experience. I'm surprised the material you're embroidering on doesn't seem to give at all.
🥰😊🌸🌿
Color blending at its finest. This is going to turn out so good. Great video.
Awwww! Thank you so very much 💕
That little area required so much attention to detail (pardon the pun). Looking forward to more videos of the process.

Thank you so very much 💕
Very very nice
@@anshubhardwaj4177 thank you
I thought you needed like a canvas type material to thread paint. But this video shows you don't. Very encouraging.
Not at all. In fact the best fabrics for working a needle painting is a tightly woven linen, or silk dupioni. Some people really like quilters cotton, like Kona. But I prefer linen or silk.💕 Canvas can actually mess up the shine of the threads. It’s a much more difficult surface to work with.
Very informative video until 5:11. The screen goes black all the way to the end.
Oh no! I wonder why it did that. It’s working on my end. That sucks.
Very well done. I'm really enjoying your embroidery. That branch still amazes me.
Thank you so very much. Honestly, branches aren’t the difficult. I just happen to know a few tricks. If you ever want tips and tricks, just let me know. I’m always happy to help 💕
It looked like the thread was as thin as an eyelash. You really put in the work to create your embroidery. Very well done.
It’s definitely a very fine thread. It’s a size 6 silk from DeVere Yarn. Thank you for the lovely compliment. I really appreciate it 💕
That was really cool to watch. That branch kept drawing my attention because it looked so real halfway through your video. The color blending is so smooth. Those threads you left for later to use at the bottom of the petal kept me wondering why you would leave something in your way. Then you used them. Great planning. I like the light against the dark separation between the petals. I kept wondering why you didn't shade over the left of that petal. But it all makes sense now. Oh yeah, I like how you didn't tie any knots in your thread. I am looking forward to your next video.
Thank you so very much. That’s so kind💕
