Still have both these wonderful consoles. I occasionally play the classics til this day. These consoles litterally had some of the best games ever made. My top 100 list of games consists of at least 20 PS1 games and 12 N64 Games.

N64 by far! But PS2 destroys N64

Owning both consoles, they complimented each other perfectly and were radically different, something we don't have today (for better or worse) N64 had great 3d platformers, FPS and wrestling games, along with the Nintendo first party games and great 4 player experiences. the PS1 had the great racing games, RPGs, horror titles, cinematic adventures and 3D fighters. Great times!

the drama isnt about monetization in a single player game but about what it implies. we know capcom are greedy but recently they are proving that they can also be greedy and INCOMPETENT! microtransactions working after they sell their barely AA game at a AAA+ price meant they got the niche of stupid people like activision and their army of crayon eat...COD fanboys so now they are going to be incompetent and sell us trash and expect us to say "oh thanks my god! please have more of my money because we love to push our faces to your spread ass so you can deliver your sh*t straight to our mouths!! WE LOVE YOU!!!" they know they can get away with it now that they are seeing the idiots defending them after giving us that crap with a sh*t ton of cut content and barely any content in general game

After playing the game and having context for what these items are, its kind of sad people would pay money for it when the general store sells the stuff for dirt cheap.

7:50 It's simple why they did it. Capcom has had this same track record for years now where they always add mtx to their games, including DMC5 and RE4 remake. Why do the devs do it? Simple, to satisfy the suits up top. The corpo side of Capcom doesn't really care if the mtx is useful or not, just that it's there. The devs care about their players, so they always incorporate the mtx in such a useless way where not only does it not get in your face, but you don't need any of the items sold at all. Some are even so useless that like the portcrystal, since in order to use it you actually need to travel to where you wanna place it and you still need a ferrystone to fast travel at all. At the start, there's no way you'd know where to go yet or where to place that crystal. Don't forget that you also can only have 10 portcrystals active in the game at a time, and the game lets you find them all. If you bought the one in the store, then you have an 11th crystal that you can't even use. They also even only let you purchase them once each, which is why you see multiple wakestones and whatnot. It's scummy in the way that it's a noob trap, but people who know better or who know Capcom well enough know that the mtx is always there just being annoying and pointless, and doesn't really affect the actual gameplay in any way.

Bootleg repro carts are based for display without spending $500 for one shelf and/or if you're too stubborn to take the flashcartpill. Sometimes they don't work though. I have a Pokemon Yellow from Ali and it shuts my GBC and GBA SP off when saving. Just get an ezflash.

I dont think I'd seen anything on this game before watching this 👀 I enjoyed Nioh - loved the coop especially, and some QoL choices that Souls didnt get right, so appreciate those make a return here. The more accessible approach sounds convenient too with my worklife balance... but it feels like this is a title that'll be on PS+, sooner than later. Might be me being cynical, but Team Ninja games have always just been okay games; nothing really stands out and recent releases feel like an homage to a genre, rather than standout titles.

Might go one further and ask Neko to get me this, I'm sure she'd approve. Especially when she catches a glimpse of the jiggle physics. GotY hands down

something people pretend did not happen and wasn't as huge a factor as it genuinely was is that the playstation was very early on and very easily and cheaply jailbroken/hackable and capable of playing cheap cd-r backups. the n64 needed a very expensive device to do that that cost 10 as much if you were lucky to even be able to find it. every streetcorner there was a neighborhood nerd who could mod your ps1, no such thing existed for n64, this made the ps1 also a very economically favorable console, a bootleg machine, but let's pretend that didn't happen
