Hello friends, family and fellow youtube explorers. The content and vlogs on this channel covers many different areas and aspects, but they all have my everyday life in common. I share a lot of DIY projects where I mainly try new sewing projects and my learnings! You will find vlogs and I also speak a bit about cesarean birth, as I want to share my story in a way that I was missing to hear from someone else when I was pregnant. Stay awhile and hang out - hopefully you you leave with a new story, some DIY inspiration, maybe a sense of recognition in parenthood and new energy... It is also very possible that you will leave with some cat hair on your sweater, the urge to make a homemade item and having added a scandinavian word or two to your vocabulary. Välkommen!

Hollywood Blowdry Tutorial! and epic DIY
A cozy Saturday vlog is on the agenda for this week! First out I am getting ready to go meet Chay AND I have the chance to show you guys how I currently blow-dry my hair. I have a layered bob haircut and as that grows out over eight to nine weeks between every cut I have actually figured out a hack to make it look perfect from the very first week to the very last haha
I show you the total process step by step with my round brush, blowdryer, leave in product and revealing my hack.
But I am getting ready to see Chay and we are also doing an epic DIY today, at least if you are into charms, stickers, phone cases and beads. We complete the day at Kajen, Fisketorvets new food hall and it is all fab. I hope you like the video! Xoxo

I feel like im going to rip down there or something is going to go wrong. 2 of my aunts have almost died one technically did and got brought back on the table as well as my mom with me before they took me c section.

100% not, will never do bangs 😂
Hello beatiful women! When are you getting your next haircut?
Very soon!

Wow! Congrats and have fun! 🙌
The beige sleeveless one shoulder dress looks beautiful on you. I love the low open back, and you look wonderful braless! I'm curious about the back/side tattoo. I'm sure it's meaningful to you, but what is it? I like the colorful graphic print bodycon dress at the end too. I don't know where I would wear it, but it looks amazing on you. These are my two faves! 😊
Thank you! Glad you liked the video ☺️
@@MrsKjrstad You're quite beautiful. Can you tell me about the tattoo?
C'est pas très joli tout ça!
Gorgeous and a lot of fun.
Thank you 🙌
Why is fearing something that regularly happens and has a great impact on the persons life labeled as “irrational “. I never understood why they say that about all things pregnancy and childbirth and I’m afraid (no pun intended) that it’s just another form of medical gaslighting. It’s perfectly natural to fear bodily harm, especially when the type of harm that occurs during childbirth can take forever to heal and can be debilitating, and although not guaranteed, is not uncommon.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I keep holding on to the statement of “what makes the best birth for the mother is the best birth” It is so important to share about why / how / what makes us feel good about the birth and what makes the mom feels safe. I think funnily enough that if I were to give birth again (not planning to haha) I would choose home or c section again. So it is so important to empower women to lean into that intuition about what is best for her. A calm mom, a secure feeling mom will always have a better birth (no matter what that birth look like) than a nervous one 🩷 I hope you have a fantastic experience once you get there!
You definitely have a point with that statement :)
Thank you for this video. I have sooo many thoughts and opinions on this topic lol. I am TTC currently and have already talked to my doctor and she was super chill about having an elective CS, which made me much calmer and much more excited about the whole ordeal (I also have pcos which complicates things somewhat). I don’t understand why on one hand we encourage women who chose home births for example (and that’s totally fine if that’s what’s right for them), but still discourage women from csections, gaslighting them about the risks that come with vaginal birth (look up naturalistic fallacy) In my ideal world, everyone would weigh in the risks and benefits of each option (home/unmedicated/medicated/surgery) and decide for themselves what makes the most sense for them, their body and their pregnancy. Even then I still think most women would probably chose vaginal birth, so this panic around C-sections doesn’t make much sense to me. Out of all the stories I’ve heard/read about (dozens maybe hundreds), some of the worst outcomes happened when they tried avoiding the surgery at all costs, and I think it’s absolutely tragic that women are so discouraged and frightened about the possibility of cs that they put themselves through absolute horror style situations just to avoid it.
Where is the pattern? .
Hi It is in the video. I show it and pause, so you can pause the video and copy it 🤗
@@MrsKjrstad Is it possible to make a pattern we could print out I had a hard time knowing how big to make the head and ears
@@heatherfranklin9210 if I ever can I will! I just don’t have the possibility right now 🫶
@@MrsKjrstad no problem I appreciate you!
Great concept! You might also very much enjoy Sewing Therapy's 'How to Make a Ring Scarf' as a superb gift idea or just another fun way to make our wardrobe bespoke. (No ring needed, you will see!) Very little fabric is required, so it can be quite deluxe, such as Liberty of London. :) Even as a newbie I can comprehend your tutorial and hers nicely - they are related, IMHO. :) Thank you for your inspiring video. <3
Thank you so much 🙌 I’ll make sure to check that out. Might be a good idea for the little spare pieces of fabric I now have 😄
@@MrsKjrstad My pleasure! It's a very satisfying, SHORT project which yields lovely results.

Åh, tusen tack! 🫶🙏😊
It makes me a little sad that the root of the decision was fear of birth, but I'm glad that you were able to go into birth with more peace of mind, however that happened. As a mom who has had both a planned c-section (first baby due to breech presentation) and a vaginal birth (second baby), I can say from at least one mom's experience that vaginal birth is very powerful. My vaginal birth recovery was much harder physically than my c-section recovery and vaginal birth itself was extremely intense and painful, and yet, I would choose the vaginal birth a million times over. Everyone has the right to their choice, so I'm happy this was a good choice for you, but I can't deny the little part of me that thinks, "I wish you could have experienced it the other way." Very interesting topic and definitely a viewpoint that is underrepresented here on TH-cam, so thanks for putting this video out there!
Thank you for sharing! And for keeping such a open and empathetic energy while doing so 🙌 It makes me super happy that you had empowering experiences. Motherhood opens the mind, body and understanding in ways that are hard to explain.
@@MrsKjrstad ❤️❤️❤️ unfortunately, my births were not very empowering. Both times, my care teams did things against my will that made the experiences really rough. That's part of why I advocate so hard for women finding a provider who is supportive and kind and uses actual statistics to talk to pregnant women instead of scare tactics. Anyway, I'm glad that your c-section seems to have been a good experience for you!
Is that a little mole are your birth mark? It's cute as can be.
Hi
Hi!
I just had my IUD removed today so my husband and I can start trying and confirmed with my obgyn that an elective C-section wasn't going to be an issue for me. She thankfully said her goal is to make sure my birth is as positive for me as possible and if that means having an elective C-section thats what we'll do. Labor is just so unpredictable and the idea of ending up in a situation that i have absolutely no control in is not for me. I would much rather have a routine surgery where things go a lot more according to plan
Thank you for sharing! I hope you get exactly the birth that you want and feel is the best for you 🤗
I had an amazing natural birth experience and I’m happy with that. But now I’m older and I’ve decided that if I ever get pregnant again, I’ll try to have an elective c-section.
That is awesome to hear! You having the births that is right for you 🤗

This is a really pretty wrap skirt 😊
Thank you! 🙏😊
Looks amazing !
Just like you I knew that I wanted a c section even years before I could think of becoming pregnant one day and I was pretty much for the same reasons you mentioned. Then I moved to France where they never ever accept a c section. I spoke to my midwife and doctor. My midwife was so nice, she tried to convince me to have a natural birth but at the same time she respected my choice and I tried to convince my doctor, but not just her but the whole hospital never accepted that, and my doctor was so offended when I said to her that I wanted a c section. Finally, I did set numerous appointments with numerous doctors and could finally find a doctor in a public hospital in a smaller town, she has set my cesarean date for the next month and I am finally going to have a c section just based on my choice, now I am just a little bit worried about postpartum and the scars and strech marks. I want to tell people that the negative outcome of a natural birth are a lot more than a c section, you should do your research and you will know it.
Thank you for sharing! I hope that you get the birth that is just right for you 🫶 I understand that worry, for me I have never been more comfortable in my body as I am after birth. There are stretch marks and I have a scar but they fade very fast and it is as if you see your self with very clear eyes. Not sure if it was the hormones or what 😆
That’s not true at all, weak but do you lol
In France, approximately 21% of babies are delivered via caesarean section (C-section).
Hello! Could you make a video for the pattern? I was looking to make the same dress as I found the perfect fabric, but was struggling finding the right pattern.
Hi! I used the Lutterloh system. Found a dress shape I could work off of to alter neckline and so on. So that is the first tip! Will try to fit in a pattern video soon 😊
It should not be a choice and most dr.’s will only do it if it’s medically necessary
How do you define “choice” and “medically necessary” ? 🙂
How YOU bring YOUR child into this world should DEFINITELY BE YOUR CHOICE . Who tf’s choice should it be Trumps ?
Most doctors, do c-sections for money even if they aren’t necessary
Awesome video! Your work is beautiful!! ☺️
Thank you so much! 🫶😊

I truly enjoy your channel! I will be excited to see your demonstration of sewing with beads. I've been told to wear protective goggles when cutting into beads or sequins, as they can easily fly into your eye. I have yet to sew with them, but your videos are inspiring me. Also, you have beautiful nails! If you have any nail care tips for making them look so gorgeous, please feel free to share! 😄Have a wonderful and creative week! ☺
Aw thank you so much!! That means the world to me 🥰 And that is a super tip, actually just broke a needle overlocking the sequin fabric 😂😅 Nail tips - noted for next videos 🙌
