I would suggest not crossing the chain on the inside to make the chain smaller as it can cause creasing. The lobster claw clasp can fit easily through the D ring (i recommend not forcing it. It can be done if you just opening the clasp and looping it through. It's hard to explain but takes seconds to do, then attach the two clasps on the other D ring and you can double the chain that way.

I have it in cream & I’ve been loving it. I actually loveee the elongated zipper detail for some reason lol ❤

Yes water here is disgusting! Been in the USA since 1996 I also hate that we can't bike safely, we are car dependent. Just went to Nederland last month, missed it so much.
