Do you want to hear other people talk about things that isn't really that important but in a hot Scandinavian accent - then you've come to the right place.
I am Malene (maybe just say Mal for better pronunciation). I am happily married and I live in Denmark - the nation of "hygge". I will share with you the honest insights of my life on this channel. I do a ton of stuff and never even finish half of them, so perhaps you will see me cook, exercise (on rarest occations), watch movies, buy new suff or throw old stuff away. Maybe there will be a bit of #nurselife here as well. And there most definantly will be some #marriedlife.
This will NOT be another channel of unachieveable shit ton of goals that are going to make you feel bad! If anything this channel could be here to make you feel better about yourself by comparison to me! And that will make me so much happier.

Yes, be natural. Tan looks stupid. I am a brown guy with natural tan from being in sun for too long. Spray tans & tanning bed etc looks dumb, imo. Just embrace your natural skintone. If you are in sun for too long & don't get sunburn, well, then, that's the kind of tan that is natural but all the artificial stuff is just dumb.
Awesome video
I am 3 years late, but it's better now than never, I guess. As far as your first point goes....if you believe that people have a moral obligation to take care of their own children, then you social stuff don't seem to be justification for parents to kill their own child. Yous second point is weak. It solves nothing. Imagine I say....I myself am not going to own slaves. but that doesn't mean it's my job to judge other people who decided to own slaves. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they own slaves is well considered decision which was right for them. Do you see the problem? What if a woman things like this....hmmmm, if I give a birth to this child, then I would have to have many sleepness nights, i will have to change stinking dippers, I will waste a lot of time, money and energy for that child....so I am going to abort the pregnancy and kill it. That would be self centered. There would be no love, no consideration for the child. Being a parent is making a sacrifice, a lot of them. So thinking that parenthood is for the parents is very mistaken. You are a Christian, right? So take Jesus. Our heavenly parent, who suffered and died for us, out of love for us. So as a Christian, I don't see how can you reach the conclusion of pleasures, social status or convenience of the parents over the life of their child... If you are against slavery on principle, then you can't be fine with legalized slavery. You must be pro-abolitionist. If you are against abortion on principle, then you must be pro-life. Consider this thought experiment....I am against death penalty. I don't want it to happen, I think it's barbaric and we are better than that. From that, I cannot say "I am pro-death penalty and not pro-death penalty". I think it's wrong, so I cannot think it's wrong only when I want to do it, it has to be always wrong. This was three years ago, so maybe you changed your position since then, but this position which you presented has a lot of flaws.
What kind of pickles sweet pickles, dill pickles, butter pickles?
I also have had rude comments about how pale I am
Haha lol I’m the first comment
Should I get a tan? I have the palest skin ever. I want to be pretty. Side note: I literally tried everything else (self tanners, spray tan, ...), but everything looks orange!! I’ve tried different types of self tanners, and visited different places to get a spray tan.
Didn't have all the ingredients so I had to improvise, came out alright, Thanks!
im a vegan for 21 years and being 51 year i have seen lots of changes and we are growing !!
Thank you for this video. I am a Christian and I have been debating with other people, christians and non-Christians about these same issues. One thing that I have heard lately is that God does not love animals. This is wrong. Proverbs 12:10 says, “The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” then I heard say that this is only one Bible verse. Well, one Bible verse is enough. One word is enough for God. God means exactly what he says. This verse says that to God, a man who is at righteous will care for his animals. God created the heavens and the earth with one word. This is enough to know that God loves and expects us to love animals.
For example,we all know that Christianity is based on Bible-it´s a word of God-perfect.I was studying the Bible for few years, very deeply, and the Bible made me atheist-no it´s not word of God,IT´S MAN MADE AND IT SHOWS!.It´s full of bullshit and contradictions,it´s impossible to believe any of it.This guy made a video just about few things ,enough reasons to prove you,oh no it´s not a word of God,and if it is-it must be very ignorant and cruel God who wrote it.If you need religion in your life-Buddhism has more awareness and compassion than other religions. th-cam.com/video/FWSq9tGbWgI/w-d-xo.html
I imagine that we would hit it off and be good friends. And, yes, if I knew the answer to immediately eradicate senseless and distorted negative self-talk or feeling - I would tell you. There are some methodical approaches, and the key is repetition and time. The judgemental thoughts have had plenty of space and time in your head. They've been well nourished and kept secret sometimes so that the challenge from an outside perspective may not have the chance to nudge them off the shelves in your brain. I hope these episodes are happening less for you now. #TakeCareBeWellDoGood
I appreciate this video! Great breakdown of the subject. You gave excellent points that I can now add to my repertoire thanks to you!
Wow, very nicely done. fyi animals do have "nefesh chai"--the "breath of life"! -see Genesis 1:30 www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/gen/1/1/t_conc_1030 Hope you get tons of views on this important and well done contribution!
I really like your thoughts on the subject. In Switzerland, my home country, it is actually mandatory to talk to a psychologist before having an abortion. I think it is a good start. But like you said, there is still so much to do in this area. I have friends that have had abortions and unfortunately they have been judged and made feel like a horrible human being for doing it. Which I think is aweful. The women I know did NOT make this decision easily. Most of them don't.
Thank you!!!
There is an aspect of miracles of the past that is a matter of proof or report but God himself is basically a definition in the Popper falsifyability sense that has nothing to do with proof much like numbers and other useful concepts. No one debates the existence of numbers to my knowledge. God/the divine nature is very much subject to logic. I am guessing in an educated manner that Paul was referring to Socrates Euthryphro conversation as an example of the gentiles knowing God without the scriptures. The relevant difference it makes in our dealings with each other is the justification of the concept and requirement of God. This divine nature for starters is opposed to agreeing to disagree. There is no sense in which the relevant aspects are up for discussion about whether or not they exist. The passage "help meet" (KJV) doesn't really strike me as useful at first glance. It would be easy to say that you are stretching for that one . We think of "meet" being basically synonymous with "suitable" or "appropriate" and so everything else is unsuitable or inappropriate. the idea that animals are companions but not on equal terms does make some sense. I had not thought of this. People should have this in mind before deploying the argument. English speakers don't use "meet" in this way every day and we may have lost a little something as we read the passage. While you are right that meat is a general term for food. We find that Nathan's story to David the single lamb was fed the "meat" of the poor mans table. However in this particular case it is both talking about animal flesh to the extent that it is definitely not talking about plant food on any level and conveniently it is not condemning veganism or against telling people to not eat animal products. This passage is directly referring to the separation of the Jews from the gentiles(nations). As you know the Jews abstained from some meats they also did not marry outside of their nation because of the bad influence. Both of these things refer to the exclusion of groups of people. As we recall Peter was told to "arise kill and eat" in a vision that he was shown unclean animals. The only useful conclusion of Peter's that we see is that Cornelius and his basically Roman house were to be baptized. Later he was rebuked for eating with Jews only. We have no evidence that he ate unclean animals. The particulars of what they were eating was not the indication that he was doing wrong. I would generally accept this as an indictment of closed groups or castes rather than actual dietary changes. There is no symbolism of permanent division of nations behind the vegan diet and if there were it is like attacking the hand puppet when a ventriloquist makes you mad to point at the food choices. sacrifice was made meaningful by the fact that it was a loss to the person who sacrifices it. We find clearly that attachment to animals is a thing and that animals themselves are not interchangeable. Nathan knew that David(a former shepherd) valued attachment to animals. The purpose of sacrifice is not assisted by not caring about animals. Attachment adds to the value. My argument may go nowhere with other Christians to suggest that anything Jesus did could be improved upon but because Jesus did something does not imply that there is no mistake or sin (in the sense that stubbing your toe is a sin or missing a target is a sin) there that he would not improve upon. If he continued in a mistake he like the Christians following him is simply blameless until someone brings something that both can be done and is better for peace to their attention. This is the natural division of sins. This is the only lesson Christians can take from his example so this is really the only useful example he can set. Whether or not he never made a mistake is not is a side point that is basically distracting. While people deny that Jesus drank alcoholic wine, assuming he did it is perfectly okay for many Christians to be opposed to alcohol as a general rule for their personal lives while understanding that it can have a time, place and context for its use. I am pretty sure that salvation depends on our reaction to God's plan. I would be happy to talk about it. You sound a bit Calvinist. Not being saved by works in the bible is shorthand for not being saved by works of our own invention but works directed by God. Grace is basically short hand for direction. People grow in grace by giving people with complaints that the people are nice enough to bring to our attention the time and attention that they deserve either correcting the problem or explaining why it is good for everyone involved. I am pretty sure they had bee honey back then. I have a hard time not laughing that off and I will need significantly more information to take what you are telling me. I would have several passages to run by you and have you explain. I suspect the same of others.
Preach!
I think its true that people feel like they must improve their mental health before they can talk to people. I have been able to at least notice that human interaction is simply valuable enough to be worth just about anything, to me and to most others.
Great vid! I highly recommend the podcast Invisibilia and especially the episode: "The problem with the solution".
Thanks so much for the suggestion - I'll be sure to check it out! :)
Beautifully stated, and so refreshing!
Since I have a terrible memory, I try to make a balance of experiencing vs recording, and to have at least one "souvenir" from each to help me remember later. It could be a photo (or a few), or a postcard or keyring (my preferred type of bought souvenirs as they are usually available at most places and don't take up much space, particularly postcards). Occasionally I may grab a different thing if it really strikes me but I try to be careful not to collect too much random "souvenir" junk. Another thing that is useful for remembering moments is to make journal entries, which I have always been bad at. Lately, if something of note happens I try to add a brief one or two lines in my daily planner with a symbol next to it, that way when I need a new planner I can go through and maybe collect the memory notes :) Another cool idea I saw somewhere is to have a jar and when good things/memories happen you can write it on a small piece of (possibly coloured) paper and pop it into the jar. Then later if you are feeling down or just want to you can fish a random note or two out and have a read to remember :)
This is so true and so well put! Beautiful video ❤️🌱☮️
+ModVegan thanks <3
My eight point would be that it's okay to spend money on things you really want, when I bought my dress I felt so guilty, but then I realised that it's my money and it's a perfect dress and it's okay that I spent quite a bit of money on it as the dress was important to me! BUT don't spend loads on things you don't care about, most people regret the money they spend on flowers, so if you don't care about flowers, don't blow your budget on them!
+LauraJulia very good point! Just be a very aware and conscious spender. :)
My husband and I are currently moving too! We have had 1 1/2 days to pack an entire house we've been living in for two years. And we just had my son 5 months ago, so it's so much harder with an infant in the mix. Packing is terrible but unpacking is the fun part (atleast I think so). Good luck with your move!
+Jamie Blackwell now I am so grateful <3 I had tree whole weeks to pack and no babies, animals or else to look after while I was working. I really feel with you. I am still unpacking and it is a lot of fun, but very hard work as well. :)
Moving is terrible! Hang in there!
Thank you :) Can't wait to be all settled.
I could listen to your voice all day.
Oh so sweet, thank you so much. <3
Thanks for posting. I started with Unnatrual Vegan who led me to Stef who led me to you! What a loop! I love how you started with looking at yourself! So refreshing! Too often we get so busy pointing at how others can do better but at the end of the day, we have the most influence on ourselves and finding ways we can do better. Great video.
Oh nice. I'm a long time follower of UV, so cool. Starting with the man in the mirror right? :) Thank you for liking the video.
I'm transgender and I found your video from Stef's channel. Thank you for posting, I think you are very lovely and genuine. People stare at me often, and I always assume they are judging me. It was nice to hear an alternative perspective, and it made me question my own assumptions. I like your idea of giving a friendly smile, and I'll try to do more of that too :)
Thank you so much. Welcome here <3 So happy I brought you a little bit of a different perspective. All you guys who dropped by from Stef's are just beyond nice - it makes me so happy!
"Part of the wife life is watching movies that your husband just won't stop talking about" - best quote! Made me laugh haha. I love your explanation of what you didn't like about the Star Wars love story. I didn't get very into the love story, and I usually would, and your explanation made me realize why I didn't like it as much as I could have. Lol I love both you and your husband's taste in movies. My boyfriend doesn't watch many movies, mostly just TH-cam, so I might have to force him into a weekly movie night :P He enjoys it once he starts watching.
Glad you liked it :) My husband has so many movies he wants me to see, but most nights we also just end up on youtube :P
Thank you so much for the real video <3 It is helpful to be reminded that all different body types can have something unique that they dislike about their body. I'm overweight and would describe you as a skinny/normal weight person so for me this video essentially says "skinny people have things they dislike about their bodies too", so I shouldn't use my weight as an excuse to hate things about my body so much, especially things that would likely be the same even if I were skinny. On a positive note, although I'm almost the heaviest I've ever been, I do love and appreciate my body more than I ever have, even compared to when I was younger and very thin. Now I need to stop getting discouraged about not having success getting skinny again, and instead focus on eating healthier and my fitness; because it's more important that I help my body be healthy instead of trying to force it to be skinny.
I am smiling all over my face. Thanks for sharing your perspective. It really helped me put things a little in perspective <3 Health over skinny ANY day!
Thank you so much for demonstrating this recipe, and especially for your tips to make it even easier and tastier! I'm not good at making food, but this video was easy to understand and made it look so easy :)
So glad you liked it. It is such a great spread. I should really make it again soon :D
Just a couple of things that I wanted to address about your statements. As far as talking to people you know and people around you about your mental health, while being open and sharing is beneficial, the reason why therapist are needed is 1) they are professionals and will likely have a better understanding of what someone is going through and ways to help them and 2) it is hard for people who know you and care about you to remain objective when trying to help you which can worsen the problems you may be having. Also depending on one person to sort of "fix" you can be exhausting for that person. I've been in a situation where I was supporting someone emotionally and after a certain amount of time dealing with that it becomes emotionally draining and unhealthy. As far as over diagnosis goes, I agree with what you said, but part of the reason for new diagnosis being made is because when we define a problem, we can find a solution to that problem and then that solution can be used to help people that are having a similar problem when they are diagnosed with it. Just like how cancer and diabetes are two medical diagnosis because they have different characteristics and methods of treatment. With the issue of corrupt drug companies, I agree that it is inherently wrong for people to profit off of someone else's pain and suffering and it will cause those companies to not put people's health at the forefront of their policies when they are making new drugs, however many people that have mental issues not a a reaction to their environment, but rather because of a chemical imbalance can benefit from drugs formulated to fix that. For example SSRI drugs that are used to treat depression help raise and regulate your serotonin levels. Anyway, this was an interesting video and it's clear you put a lot of thought into it but I hope you consider the points I brought up. :)
I do agree that it is very draining to be that "one person" - and in that sense I wish that nobody would only have one person. In an ideal world we would all have plenty different people to talk to and many different ways to help each other. And I completely agree that therapists are awesome and can really change peoples lives. Their objectiveness can especially be beneficial in matters where issues are caused by problems in the family - and talking to them will only make it worse. I have had therapy myself when I was younger and really liked how it helped me, since I def. couldn't use my family for healing. I can hear that we do not have the same understanding of SSRI's and chemical imbalances in the brain. Nice to disagree sometimes. It is my understanding that the whole "imbalance in the brain" is a major hoax, and that we have no idea what other consequences follows when we artificially raise serotonin levels of the brains. The book I am referring to in the video is really a piece of work to widen ones perspective of what we have always been told about mental illness. Thanks so much for your comment <3
I may read the book you mentioned. Thank you for making me think about things in a different way :)
Off all the forums, discussions etc I have been - youtube is by far the least retarded :D
I found your video through Stef and I you seem very articulate and intelligent. I'm subscribing and I hope your channel goes well <3
Thanks so much. Being a non-native English speaker and coming of as articulate and intelligent, oh you just made my day. You are very sweet for subscribing <3
Completely agree that we have medicalized normal sadness in a way that is totally unacceptable and ultimately a ridiculous excuse to enrich drug companies. HOWEVER, if you look at the studies, there is always a consistent cohort of people for whom antidepressants work, and placebos do not. The percentage is small, but those are (in my opinion) the only people for whom a depression diagnosis is legitimate, and antidepressants might save their lives. I am pretty much the textbook case of legit, inherited, major depressive disorder (not to diminish the suffering of people who are deeply sad, but there is a difference). I suffered my most extreme episode a few years ago. My life was PERFECT. I literally had everything I had ever dreamed of. Honestly, if you had waved a magic wand and asked me if there was anything in my life I would change, the answer was quite literally NOTHING. But I was incapable of experiencing any emotion - positive or negative. I would look at my beautiful children and know that I wanted to feel love and closeness to the people closest to me and I could feel nothing. I was never happy, but I was really never said, either. I just felt completely empty inside. The only feelings I could have were intense anxiety attacks that made me unable to breathe, and I saw the doctor thinking I might have a serious heart problem (I would get so hot that I couldn't bear being in a room, and I did actually faint a few times). I had some medical tests done, and nothing was wrong with me. My doctor asked me to see a psychiatrist, and I did. I explained my experience, and he asked me many questions about my "mental health hygiene" (did I use positive self talk, etc.). I'm a very positive person, but if you wake up every day unable to feel a single emotion, it wears on you quickly. Imagine if you never knew if you could experience happiness ever again, even for a moment? If your life was absolutely perfect and you could only smile when you were trying to pretend you were normal? Fortunately the psychiatrist understood, put me on a true SSRI (cipralex, which like you say, is a placebo unless you actually suffer from MDD). At first I felt worse. But after about a month, I was able to feel emotions again. I am so grateful to that doctor. Honestly, I do know I wouldn't have survived without that help. I guess you'd have to know me to understand, but I am an exceptionally mentally strong survivor, and I have been through some pretty horrible things, but not being able to feel emotions (in psych speak, anhedonia) is the worst thing I have experienced in my life. It often drives people to suicide, and I absolutely understand why. These subjects are always touchy, and I know this video was well intentioned and will likely be very helpful for 99% of people who see it. But for the 1% that know they are suffering from something that goes far beyond the realms of normal sadness, I just want you to know that there is hope, and that some psychiatric drugs can be life saving, and it's worth seeing someone who understands what's going on and can help. And finally, I apologize for leaving a novel-length comment on this video, but it's something I feel rather strongly about. I always appreciate your candour, and I guess I felt I had to respond in like fashion. Have a beautiful day 😊☮🌱❤
The percentage is so low. And I can't help but think about the very largest percentage who have no effect but many side effects (and risk their health and well being). I have a hard time accepting that we help so few people at the cost of so many. Your story is very moving. Having watched your videos before and now reading your story gives me a small understanding of how invalidating it must have been to go through that. So glad you shared. I hope the 1% will take their time to read you comment, move over to your channel, and leave this video with some encouragement and feeling slightly less hopeless. Any day is a good day to leave a novel-length comment on a channel like mine with less than 50 subs ;p You are awesome! I really appreciate the support.
Yes - I think a large part of the problem is that when pharmaceutical companies do research, the only way they can profit from their findings is to sell drugs to the largest market possible, with next to no effort made to ensure that the drugs wind up in the hands of those who will benefit from them (they'd sell antidepressants to the most happy person on earth if they could get them to buy it). The result is an approach that fails everyone. I'm not sure what could be done to reform the pharmaceutical industry, but it's definitely something that needs to be done asap! I wish they could turn it into a not-for-profit industry. It seems totally antithetical to the whole mission of medicine. So sad.
I hope so deeply that we will see big change in the future of medicine
Such a great video! Your honesty is so deeply refreshing. I hope Stef sees this!
I think she did - which is pretty awesome :) So glad you liked it!
i love trans people, first because a lot of them think I'm hot which is great and it makes me feel good about myself but also because a trans person is born male or female but feels they should switch and own that switch unlike some people
Trans-people do have a certain way of "owning" what they do and who they are. Maybe because they take more than the usual amount of shit from people?
Love this and totally agree, our idea of "normal" is not normal. We need to embrace life's up and downs and realize this is part of life. I have suffered major depression in the past, which is much different than just being down, but people treat it as the same and medication seems to be prescribed for both. And I'm with ya on the pharmaceutical industry. They are absolutely profiting off people being sick.
These days I feel like everyone is depressed, and it undermines the people who, like you, have suffered from true depression. I think that is a big issue. Really the same with stress. Everybody keeps confusing being busy with the actual illness "stress". Glad you liked the video <3
Good video, agree with a lot of what you say, society puts a lot of pressure on people. There should also be a balance of diagnosis, but also the mental health system can be abused to be a money making system.
Thanks :) Yeah, as soon as something becomes a money making system we really should re-evaluate how we run it imo.
Did some mental health awareness raising off my channel, feel free to look sometime
These are great tips. I really enjoyed planning my wedding, mostly because I planned together with my husband - I would have gone insane if I'd done it all by myself. It ended up being a really great experience for both my husband and I. We managed to have a very affordable, beautiful wedding, with very little work on our part.
Having a husband that is involved in the planning as much as yourself is really a great tip. Can't believe I didn't mention it. :)
I take this for granted that we vote with our money. It was one of the disconnects that seemed to exist in the recent Roaming Millennial debate. In many ways it is more just than democratic voting because it is yours to decide upon and everyone volunteers to participate, there is no compulsion. The market is also more intelligent and responsive than voting. Any entrepreneur can propose a product or service or a cost saving measure and everyone evaluates the utility and the results are the sum of everyone's intelligence. I really like Ludwig von Mises take on market voting and I Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged talks about the righteous way of dealing with your fellow man that is money.
The debate is really a great example, now that you mention it. That is really an obvious example of not understanding this quote.
to understand a quote it kind of helps to understand the language it came from which in this case i believe was German
Always nice to know more about the history of a quote, maybe I should do just a little research before making these videos in the future. Would probably be very interesting. Thanks. :)
I was afraid I was going to disagree until you allowed that the difference is the beginning of a conversation instead of an ending. It need not be that they cannot understand, just that it is okay that they currently do not understand. To some people the acknowledging and allowing of differences is promoted as a facade for their appeal to a right to ignore each other and come to different conclusions without any need to compare reasons. I am a Christian who likes to make sure he understands the bible. I am at the same time a health vegan with preferences for reducing animal suffering in my personal choices.
Oh, I see what you meant (I think) I always hate when people have a "you do you - then I do me" attitude. We sould always strive to understand each other. What is important to me, is that people aren't limited because their family or friends doesn't understand their life decisions.
Such a great quote and message.Just found you through shoutout on the flemface's channel, and I've subscribed.Would mean a lot if you can check out my channel and share our journey.Sending you blessings and hope to speak soon 😊
Hey Tommy. Haven't really checked out your channel yet. But I have heard of you - will definitely check it out now :D Ever since I started looking into the smaller vegan youtubers (less than 10.000 subs) I have been so busy watching youtube. There is SO MUCH great content here. Content that is not made just to get lots of views but actually made because the youtuber has something valuable to say. But I will prioritize getting to your content soon! :)
So true as it's about helping people out there, and that's why I do my channel to help people, and if it's even one person it's all worthwhile
Grammar Nazi sez: "the main ingredient." "save some time." "that took like 14 minutes." "shorten it down a little". "it tastes very good." "and a lot of elbow grease that I could have done without". My "Checklist Onion Sauce" recipe for eating with cruciferous veggies: broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, collards for example. I often have over 600 grams of broccoli with a serving. I often include 20 grams of fatty seeds or nuts for 0mega-6 and fat soluble vitamin absorption. I also eat a bit of red cabbage with meals of cooked broccoli or brussel sprouts. Since I am absorbing vitamins at this time I often include a red bell pepper. Makes 4 servings Liquid: enough to submerge one finely chopped medium onion 1 part lemon juice about 1 or 2 lemons(I have used limes instead and have also use just vinegar) 1 part balsamic vinegar 1 part red wine vinegar (I find good cheap vinegar but the vinegar details may not be important) Finely chop the onion with a sharp knife and put it in the liquid quickly(blending it in the liquid may yield good results, I have never tried it.)I prefer a red onion. At 28 grams of ground flax (I prefer freshly ground) It acts as a thickener and takes several minutes to reveal its final thickness Add turmeric 1 teaspoon may be ideal. I also use turmeric based curry powder which adds some spice. Add black pepper, as much as you care for I probably use a teaspoon feel free to adjust to taste. about the checklist: Onions and Lemons both help absorb minerals present in greens and help fight cancer, Flax is awesome and does have some fat that also helps with absorption of fat soluble vitamins. Turmeric and pepper is an anti- inflammatory combo that also does things to your gall bladder and you might as well be emptying your gall bladder onto the fats that you want to absorb. This meal is generally the only fats I eat in a day. I haven't studied this concoction together and I have no idea if one part stops the other. I would probably throw in some mustard powder in if I didn't think the vinegar would kill the myrosinase the way that cooking does. If it didn't kill it I feel Dr Greger would have recommended a prepared mustard for cooked broccoli to make sulforaphane. I use the bit of raw red cabbage for that. about taste: I think it is great though I would settle for adequate since I was shooting for checklist ease, I am however the only one who has tested it and have no idea how popular it may be when tried. It is technically popular with me since it is basically an every day thing.
So this is a cold sauce? Like a dressing for salads? Thanks for the grammar - keep up that good work - it helps!
yeah I keep it in the refrigerator but it does have a ton of vinegar and I would not worry about leaving it out because of any worry of bacteria. It is also not cooked in any way, the flax just thickens in liquid. I don't leave ground flax out of the refrigerator in general because it goes rancid quickly and it is considered hard to store. I doubt my sauce keeps its omega-3 much better than ground flax keeps though it does seem to keep onions from getting the bad taste of being left out in the air, and the need to include onions was the prompting idea behind it. I have basically no idea how well omega-3 fairs in the sauce but I imagine colder is better for this reason. I do use it for salads. If I want more flavor than the serving on my salad that looks like it should serve 10 people, I often add some fat free prepared mustard like grey poupon and some more balsamic vinegar. I have tried it out on some ladies who are my neighbors, The older one had a hard time chewing things like raw cabbage and carrots, but the other seemed to enjoy it immensely. So it has been tried by an independent person in salad form. They actually asked me to buy them the spice but I think that it could be anything or the combination that they liked.
I wish I could give you a hug! You're beautiful... I get where you're coming from... It is a mindset... Watching my aging body (ugh) haha... I try to think on things that are positive and move into a mindset of gratitude of all that functions well in my body... I really try to give my self a break... You are truly lovely!!! Thank you for your honesty and keeping it real I the TH-cam world! 💛💖💛
I actually took your advice the other day, when I just really hated on my "super fat stomach fat". I really tried thinking about all the work my belly does. How great and valuable it is. Digest everything for me. I work as a nurse with patients who have cancers in the digestive system, and I just realized how ungrateful I was being. My stomach is healthy and working. I should appreciate that!! Keeping it real is my number 1 priority, so thank you so much for noticing!
Great message.. Great quote! The reaping and sowing or karma is so true...we do get back what we give out... And Most times the rewards we receive from giving of time far outweighs the effort!!! Thank you for this! 💛💖💛
Yeah, I knew right when he said it, that I was going to use it in this video! Thanks for the support Grandma V :)
You are beyond lovely and beyond wise... here is to NEVER being grown... much Love ... The Vegan Grandma... hugggsssssss
When a super wise woman, twice your age, calls you wise... It really just saves your day. Thanks so much! :)
Nice stuff
No specific links to give but there are plenty of videos to watch of Hindu/Sikh/Buddhist Guru's giving talks and Q&As. I don't practice or advocate their religious beliefs, but their views on the self, the physical world and how we can gain happiness within it, are at times amazing. Watching them certainly helped me and if you can adapt their advice to your situation, I don't think you'd regret it.
Thank you for this advice. I'll definitely be checking it out :)
Your welcome. Finding joy in the moment is the key. If your able see past the religious aspects and implement some of what these guru's have to say, it can free your mind from what is not within your control, enabling you to see the silver lining and not just the dark cloud as we more often tend to do. Not easy to do or maintain at times, but when you succeed, is liberating. Hope I did'nt go all woo woo on ya there and frighten you off! lol Either way, best of luck in finding what your after..
Well, I'm a hardcore Christian myself, so I'm not scared by religious aspects :D For me, I try to remember that my body was created by God and he thinks it is perfect, so I really should not discredit it. Thanks for your supportive comments.
