@ There’s bibles with cross references in the medians more than sufficient to validate them. Then there were other criteria as well. Old Testament Jews did well with the Torah and Tanahk as well.

No that is not true. we have 2 different records of that text and historians believe the later had been modified {probably by Christians} to say that He was the Messiah but the other text does not state that. there are several early historians who were not friendly to the Christians who referred Jesus in their writings also. We also have inscriptions referring to Him that have been found in archeological digs, so to suggest that He did not exist is to go against all of the evidence.

I follow highly prestigious historians and archaeologists who are more than content with knowing the naming of jesus in those works IS in fact added in much later and not to be trusted. Scott stripling. Andrew Snelling. You won't ever see them using that as 'evidence'. I mean, I'm not a casual citizen. I'm a knowledge NERD and have spent years learning about this. Andrew Snelling is a geologist, not an archaeologist or a Roman historian, Stripling is a biblical archaeologist and has dug many Jewish sights in Israel, some of which I have personally visited. Most Biblical scholars take Josephus at his word, but they do think that Christians added to what he wrote. the reason they think that is because being a Jew, he would never have referred to Jesus as the Messiah because the Jews did not believe and even if he had believed it, he would have been in big trouble with both the Jews and the Romans.That makes perfect sense but does not take anything away from what he actually wrote. Look up some of the Roman historians such as Tacitus or Pliny the younger. who refer to Jesus in their writings [not favorably} I might add. To suggest that the majority of Biblical scholars dont believe that Jesus existed is ludicrous. You might be a knowledge nerd, but you lack knowledge on this subject. The Bible has been proven to be 100% accurate 100% of the time when it comes to historic evidence found in the dirt. I too have spent years {50 years} to specific on this subject. If you want to deny that Jesus existed, that is your prerogative, but you should come to that conclusion if that is where the evidence leads, not because your emotions or preconceived ideas take precedence.

I believe in God because of certain things over my life, but I can't believe in jesus.... I think we were created, I think we have purpose, I think this world is some test, but jesus..... Can't do it aye 😅

@@mo0nstonegirl Thats interesting that you can believe in God but not Jesus. Is it that you dont believe He existed or you dont believe He was who He claimed to be. you would be hard pressed to find a historian who denies his existence.

Why do you think God can not lie ? What's your evidence for this ... Tho I'm an atheist myself I have a good deal of understanding of alot of the religions on earth and God is supposed to be a four tier Omni being so why would he not be capable of lying? Would your world your own life change so drastically if you found out there was nothing waiting for you after you died?

@samrowe2889 Firstly, the Scriptures, where GOD reveals Himself to us as the GOD of Truth. The GOD of Truth, being in Essence Truth, therefore cannot lack truth / lie. Secondly, logic. Truth exists objectively. Humanity doesn't dictate truth. 1 + 1 will always be 2 whether or not humanity exists to state so. Therefore, the Source/Creator of this objective truth must also be in essence truth, and therefore cannot be lie. A lie is the opposite of truth. If GOD were to lie, HE wouldn't be truth, and therefore no truth would objectively exist outside of those who determine it (i.e. humans) And if Christians, after death, realized there was nothing after life, they wouldn't be sentient since there would be no life after death and therefore it doesn't really affect them. They lived their lives trying to please GOD and lived better lives than those without belief in GOD. Nothing wrong wih that. But athiests, on the other hand, if they turn out to be wrong, then you lose everything. Are you really wanting to put your eternity on the line? There has to be a GOD, the universe requires it. Something cant come from nothing, life cant come from non-life, information cannot come from matter, morality and truth cannot come from the impersonal. The Creator must be outside of space time and matter to have created them and therefore spaceless (not limited by space, aka Omnipresent), timeless (not limited by time, aka Eternal) and immaterial (not limited to the material, so spiritual). GOD has to exist, not only because a Book tells me (the most archeologically and historcally-reliable Book), but also because logically, existence requires GOD.

GOD doesn't make mistakes. The "pre-Adamic world" idea means GOD failed to stop evil before it got too bad and had to scrap His creation and start from scratch. We don't even see GOD doing that with Noah, but rather takes action while there was still Noah who was righteous before His eyes, and even though the world had been corrupted by sin, GOD preserved life via the Ark. Noah, his family, and the animals were all spared, not deleted and "time to start again". We never see GOD act the way He supposedly acted if the pre Adamic myth were true. Not only do we attack GOD's Nature, but also GOD's Word, where HE HIMSELF says and wrote in Tablets with HIS own finger that He made the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1), the sea (Genesis 1:2) and all that is in them (Genesis 1:3-31) and rested on the 7th day (Genesis 2:1-3). Either this myth of pre Adamics is false, or GOD lied, and GOD cannot lie.
