From on top of the tower, you can enjoy beautiful unobstructed views of the Blue Ridge Mountains as far as you can see. Enjoy the video.

I fully agree it was awesome!

I know its such a cool thing to see for sure!
That is not pall mall Tennessee
You are right that is in Jamestown. Thanks for the catch I just fixed it.
wonderful! what month it was?
Thank you! I believe we did this in February.
Phaethon's Chariot caused it.
😯Mystery solved!
Beautiful.❤
❤❤❤❤Love this..
Thank you we did too, it was a lovely little trail and an amazing water.
Very nice video. Amazing nature. Your new subscriber 582 here. 👍4. Thankyou for sharing. ❤❤❤😊😊
Thank you for both watching and subscribing.
@adventuringinthemoment 😃😍🙂
@adventuringinthemoment 😀🙂❤️

Those aren't just Ducks, those are Merganzers. I'm not saying that to be a snob, I just think it's a cool word to teach my kids to say.
Interesting. You learn something new everyday.
And I thought the early settlers traveling west had it rough. Guess not, those covered wagons look pretty comfy 😊.
We were sold a lie, just kidding, lol. No these wagons were the best and I bet the setters would have sold their whole house for one of these.
Saw this astounding sight years ago, when it was a State Natural Area, and it's still just as beautiful! Watching you hike the trail brought back great memories of a family trip. We stopped by on our way back from the Smokies. It was indeed an adventure in the moment!
We love hearing comments like this. Being outside really can bring our families together and I am so glad to hear you got to enjoy this wonderful piece of Tennessee as well. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Im glad you recorded the trail. Nice to remember a time with my son hiking
Hey thanks for watching! I love how hiking can bring families together and create good memories, its so good.
We visited Greeter Falls this past weekend. We loved it. The campground and all of its people were amazing! Our video will be up soon! Love your video!
I'm glad you liked it, we also loved this area. There is a lot to love when it comes to our Tennessee State Parks that is for sure.
I love you B
Looks nice !
It was very nice!
hello from Gatlinburg
Hello, that was right were we were too. Gatlinburg is such a great place.
Stunning - thanks so much for taking us along.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing! Glorious views! My son i and i are trying to decide between going back to black balsam knob/graveyard fields to hike this fall which is amazing or going to grassy ridge bald where we have never hiked before.
Awe man that is a tough call. I love Black Balsam Knob! The views are incredible and during the fall there is nothing like it. I love Roan Mountain but they both are so good, I've never been able to hike Graveyard Fields but I have seen it many times. Good luck on your decision but know that you can't really go wrong with either choice. Thanks for watching and enjoy the hike with your son!
Thanks!
Really nice video, thanks man!
Thank you very much!
Not easy to find. Way out in the boondocks on the coast of Maine. Well worth the trip because fort Pelham is just before you get to Baldwin.
Yes you are not kidding. I have gone to Popham many many times and had no idea that this historic site was just waiting in the woods. I was very thankful for coming across it.
Thanks for the video, i lived in shady valley as a kid. My favorite place on earth. My mothers great grandmother was full blood Cherokee and her diary spoke of a hidden cave by backbone rock she would go to so she could be alone when she was a kid. I live in florida now but id like to find that cave one day.
Whoa, that is one of the coolest stories! It reminds me of the Cherokee legends of the cave the giant lived in around the Devils Courthouse off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I didn't see a cave when I was there, but how cool is that!
Pleasant ridge, my friend. You're in PLEASANT RIDGE NOT PLANTATION RIDGE lol
I am willing to bet there was a plantation on a ridge at some point though. Maybe just farmland but close enough.
Thank you for posting this!!
And thank you for watching.
Thanks for the video. I went last week, but the road was close for grading. Should be open by the beginning of September 2024. I'll have to go back.
Thanks that is good information to know. I figured the road would close from time to time around large amounts of rain or in this case grading. It should be a nice smooth ride up for you once it is all done though. Enough the adventure.
I will most likely never venture there....loved seeing it through your eyes! Thanks!!!
Thank you very much. We love the fact that we get the chance to explore all these amazing places and can showcase them to people who may not get the chance to go or can no longer adventure. So that is a big compliment to us and thank you again for watching the video.
Thanks for visiting....and actually, peregrine falcons don't regurgitate their food for their chicks, they just rip and tear pieces off to feed them. Looks like you'll have to revisit and do it properly ;)
Hellooo from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park 🏞️🌄
Hello from New Mexico on this video. lol.
@@adventuringinthemoment nice!!!!!
We were also just there and took the plunge basin trail down to the bottom. It was so beautiful! Love it from above too!
Yes it was a fun adventurous day and filled with a lot of beauty. I'm glad you enjoyed it too!
We are looking at this trail today. It looks like a nice casual hike. Thanks for sharing
I would recommend it for sure. It was very short and simple with a great pay off.
Hey I've been there before
Hey me too!
It's unfortunate they've fenced up the bridge outlook, it wasn't so in older videos. Someone always has to ruin it for everyone else it seems.
I hear you. I understand why they have to do it to keep people safe, but I agree I would like the option to be able to go closer.
Just moved to the area! Love it here!!!
Welcome to this beautiful side of the world! We are glad you love it.
By the way, the quicker path is still closed! Lol
Good to know, Thats crazy that it is still closed.
Your video inspired me to take the trail today. I’ve lived here in roan mountain for years and never hiked it. Used to be a big guy, 420 pounds and lost a significant amount of weight and decided to treat myself today. It was fun, fairly easy for a beginner like me but with all the rain we’ve had as of late, some part’s definitely got a little tricky and slick! Seeing the mine up close was awesome as well as various mushrooms and such.
Oh wow thank you very much! These are the best comments to get because its encouraging that we are helping people to enjoy the beauty found all around us. Congratulations on your weight loss too thats super inspiring!
Springfield Illinois, not Indiana!😂
He actually lived in both Indiana and Illinois.
one of my favorite places! glad to see others feel the same :)
It is a shame it is no longer a KOA now.
Hi Mr. Adventure in the moment= I finally caught your notification Belated Happy July the 4th. I bet you all had a great day Oh..Yes, I have been wanting to visit it It seems pet friendly trail Massive old trees fossilized...very cool to us and also children at your daughter's age. Can you touch them or you have to stay on the trail? Have a great summer with girls Now let me drive you the sea...I bet your daughters will be excited...hahah
Happy Fourth to you as well. I am not sure if you are allowed to touch them or not but we stayed on the trail and just looked at them.
I have a question, is the Rocky River Gorge free, or you have to pay? Thanks!
The Kancamagus Highway is free to drive but there is a $5 day pass for parking. So if you plan on making these stops along the drive including the Rocky River Gorge, you will have to have the $5 day pass.
@@adventuringinthemoment oh I see. Free to drive, day pass for parking. If you could still remember, do the Glen Ellis Falls and Cathedral Ledge also operate on the same system, or you had to pay separately as well? Thanks!
@@st-lucia Yes, so Glen Ellis Falls never required any type of parking pass when we have gone, but Cathedral Ledge had a small fee as well. I did that a different time then the Kancamagus Highway so I am not sure if this is just a day pass for all of the parking areas in the White Mountains National Forest or not. I do know that you can pay for Cathedral Ledge when you go to Echo Lake State Park which is at the foot of Cathedral Ledge and the state park system would be different then the national forest. So long story short it will be a minimal fee if anything to go to all of those places, and are all pretty easily assessable in one day too. I hope that clears things up for you.
@@adventuringinthemoment yup. I was a bit confused between the state and federal stuff. I understand now. Thank you so so much!
@@st-lucia No problem, and enjoy your adventure in the White Mountains
I have had the good fortune to experience both Watkins Glen and The Flume, and I agree, they are a similar experience, and so awesome. Thank your for this lovely walk that hits all of the stunning points of The Flume Gorge.
Thank you very much for watching. I loved both of them very much and have been blessed to walk through both too.
Sorry if you mentioned it but what is the mileage to the waterfall? Great video, thanks.
You know I am not really sure about the mileage to the waterfall. AllTrails isn't super specific about where the waterfall is but we didn't continue the trail beyond the waterfall. If I were to guess I would say maybe a little over a mile to get to the waterfall and then about a little over a mile back so round trip tops maybe 2 and a half miles.
Can you camp at the bald?
Did you know two men were asphyxiated in the cave in 1930? Look for the new book “ The cave electrician’s widow.”
Enjoyed our visit in early June. Many different blooming species. Great experience for children. Nice video.
Thank you very much. We really loved this garden too, its truly a beautiful place.
i will be here in under 2 weeks and staying in cave city. i got my tickets for 2 different tours at mammoth caves. i want to do this one on my 3rd day. i do see nothing for getting tickets online, do you just get them there? caves are awesome. my favorite cave to see so far is luray caves in VA.
That is awesome have fun in the cave it is truly an amazing experience. You can get tickets from their national park page that is what we did. I would also suggest going on the Frozen Niagara and Drip Stone Tour. I haven't been to Luray Caves yet but it is on my list to do someday.
Was just here last weekend. Love swimming in the plunge basin after a hot hike!
Yes we loved this hike, it was really fun getting down to the base of the falls.
Nice video. I live in Arizona and have done the 10 hour drive to and from Utah plenty of times. Usually, I've gone through Page on the main U.S. 89, crossing the Colorado River at the Glen Canyon Dam. However, I have been on the U.S. 89A a few times as well, and the Navajo Bridge is by far one of the biggest highlights.
Yeah we really liked the bridge and it was a fun little stop on our way through.
3300 feet high.
I Googled the highest point in Johnson City, TN Up came this video. Very beautiful! Thanks!
3300 feet of a beautiful mountain.
We have visited the Adirondacks region once. It was amazing as there were lakes everywhere. I love that covered bridge you showed. I love the lighting of the torch you did at the end. Very clever and fun.
Thank you, yeah we loved that area and visited it many times once we found what a hidden gem it was.
Hi, I love Pass-a-Grille beach. My son and his family live in St. Pete and this is where we go when I visit from PA. You showed a Sun Ray Venus clam and then a horse conch shell (the orange twisted one.) I watch a TH-cam channel called SW Florida Beach Life where the creator, Sharman, shows different shells from SW Florida beaches. I have learned a lot from her.
Oh that is super cool, we have been to many beaches but this one has some of the coolest shells in the world!
Wow, amazing water falls. Beautiful area. Thanks for sharing. That is cool that there is a walkway beside the covered bridge. I love how you appreciate beauty. Are you an artist? At least you are a wonderful photographer which is artistic.
Thank you very much. I do appreciate beauty and everything I learned from taking videos was all from my amazing wife who is an incredible photographer.
