I was introduced to OverDrive earlier this year and have been using it to borrow books and magazines on my iPad. I then found out that OverDrive is compatible with the kobo e-readers so I decided to get one since reading on it would be easier on the eyes!

How did you actually sign up with overdrive? Did you just sign in using a library card or did you also need to set up an overdrive email? That’s the bit I’m getting stuck with

Apologies for the late reply! I haven't used a Kindle before, so I cannot really provide a fair comparison. I chose to go with a Kobo for my first e-reader because it supports Overdrive and allows me to borrow e-books from my public library, which a Kindle does not support. However, I'm sure there are other functions (that I'm not familiar with) that a Kindle will have over a Kobo as well!
How do you find this kobo after a year on? Been thinking of upgrading my kobo to Clara 2e.
Hello! I still enjoy using it very much :) The Kobo store and my Overdrive library have sufficient books for me, and I like having the option to use either the buttons or the touch-screen to turn the page on the Libra 2. The touch-screen works well, even for highlighting and pulling up the dictionary when reading, so I believe it should be the same for the Clara 2E too :)
@taiyakitalks410 amazing to hear. I have loved my Kobo, but the features on Clara 2e will be great for me, like Type C and waterproof. Glad you're still enjoying it.
Ordered my libra 2 today!! It’s on sale on the site right now so had to nab it finally. I’m sooooo excited. I’ve been using the Clara HD since the release date in Canada and it’s starting to show it’s wear quite a bit 😅 this looks like a significant upgrade!

I was using OverDrive on my iPad too, but it was getting to be too big to use comfortably in bed lol. I just ordered my kobo on prime day. 🙂
I hope it arrives soon and that you'll enjoy the kobo as much as I do! :)
