Power Wheels ML Toys 18v Conversion with Milwaukee Tool Batteries

In this episode, I finally get around to wiring in the 18v Milwaukee Tool battery conversion for our Power Wheels Frozen Jeep. Ive always wanted to do this conversion and when the 12v battery stopped working it was time. I used the ML Toys conversion kit because it has a low voltage cut off to save my Milwaukee Tool batteries and also a soft start to prevent damage to the gears. Super happy wit...

5 coats of clear to preserve it :D
nice!
Those doors be moving smooth. I could listen to Sam talk about firm and dense things all day. 😂
Going up... On a Tuesday! Love to see y'all back ❤❤❤
Glad my video helped! That particular transfer layer adhesive was recommended by Built to Perfection when I bought the foam from them. I didn't like the super glue idea either. I didn't use the accelerator, just stuck the foam in place with as much pressure as I could generate. Yes, a labor of love for a car I've owned since 1997 and have no plans to sell!
I couldn’t believe it when I found your video discussing adhesive issues with this exact project. I guess thats the beauty of TH-cam, thanks again!
This interior going to smell amazing!
Hopefully as good as the GSX you had!
You can see the camera has issues when zooming in at the end of the video. The black suddenly looks greyish, and the closer you get the brighter it looks. But filming from up top, above your head, it really looks deep black. Nice job!
@@erikthehondaguy7766 it was really tough to get it on video or take a decent pic, but it looks great in person. Still really happy with the results and can’t wait to see it all together. Thanks for watching!
Maybe that’s exactly the problem: there is NO cupholders… 😅
Huge info. Good vid brotha.
Would love to see more videos on GS430 and get more info on it such as wheel specs and mod list. I have an 03 GS430 and I’m gathering parts for my CD009 swap, you guys should swap yours too!
We’ve got more plans for the GS, so you will definitely see things in the future. There is also a CD009 at the shop that Ive been trying to convince Sam to use for a couple years!
That looks really nice, my Lincolns original carpet has like 3 cigarette burn marks, the old lady that owned it since new smoked, and had a small dog. Mine is also grey however the carpet is HUGE and has molded foam backing..I'm not sure if I can find a bin large enough to fit mine into. Yours came out looking so nice, the black would definitely hide those small burns better than Ford Graphite Grey...Perhaps a large kiddie pool or something might work..I gotta try something, my new carpet is well over $400 bucks for Essex pile and mass backing.
@@Blackinterceptor999 glad you like the final result. This carpet also had molded foam on the backing, but I just dyed it all 🤷♂️ I have read about people using the kiddie pool, but I was paranoid something would go wrong and leak. I initially planned this as a winter project and didn’t want like 30+ gallons of black dye potentially leaking onto my basement floor! If you had a good spot outdoors it would probably work. Ive also seen some people try rolling or brushing the dye on with varying levels of success. Good luck on your project and let me know if you have any other questions!
also that carpet came out MINTTTTT. nice job
I was nervous about screwing it up but now Im super happy I did it!
really diggin that majectic unicorn in the back of garage
That’s our garage unicorn 🦄
The carpet looks fantastic! Great job!!
How much to drink the carpet water?
$100 and another $50 if your friend wants to watch 😂
subbed, going to venture down this road on my own supra shortly
Hopefully I can help you out, but lmk if you have any questions during the process. Feel free to message me on IG!
@@JDMke will add you. thanks
FYI, this is for JDM A80 Supras ONLY. North American A80 Supras came with different keyless entry systems. 1993-1995 used TDSE "Theft Deterrent System Enhancement" with option code "RK". 1996-1998 used VIP KES "VIP Keyless Entry System" with option code "KE".
Thanks for the info, I have seen one of these systems for sale and wondered if it was a possibility.
so what switch are you referring to when you talk about the door switch for turning the lights on and off?
It’s a black button near the door striker on the B pillar
@@JDMke thanks for that I would never have guessed thats what they were meaning! No idea how you worked that out!
@FIN4LBO55 I kept thinking “courtesy switch” was a bad translation from Google Translate, so I posted on IG looking for someone that could actually read Japanese. Then someone said try the door switch and it worked perfectly 👌
this is bizzare I was doing this today on my car,,,,, absolutely insane you brought this up the same day! Thanks fo this!
That is a crazy coincidence and always here to help 🙏
you should see my key fob lol, its my steering wheel...
@@Supra_Kewl you’ve got an insane steering wheel setup!

just eyeballing a real life 2 door jeep wheelbase ~97" in ~0.2 seconds (wheel to wheel on a concrete crack) is about ~27.3 mph real life equivalent.
Idk if we’re going that fast but it’s def difficult to keep up with!
@@JDMke lol no that's what a full size jeep would be going at the same carlengths/sec rate
@@mikethetechnician310 That's awesome!
I loved that you threw in the lady and the tramp quote #girldad Let’s soup op these little ladies rides!
Hold on a second, I have that under my seat too. And I think I still have the master key, it looks different, greenish round design. I could make a picture. But the preowner bypassed that system with a Cobra alarm. LOL I always thought that modul is for the seat heating which my car doesn't have.
"where do you stop" ... hahahahahahaha
You can just watch me having a total meltdown inside as I realize the scope of project 😅
Subbed
mine works and I'm selling it lol.
The more I do with this thing the more tempting that is. The current goal is just to fix everything and then never need to go back behind the dash.
@@JDMke That's called the rabbit hole bud. Remember we talked about this lol.
How much?
Shit, I may not be strong enough lol
Been thinking the same thing after pulling the heater box from my car 😂
Strafe sticker <3
If it sounds like sizzlin bacon its workin good!
I actually made a comment to Sam that I could hear when it was working well. I’ve been around ppl welding, but not really paying attention during the process. It was cool to see the differences in the metal. Something I would love to be proficient at someday.
Why would you weld this in overhead when you could weld it flat from the top much better
I wish that were the case, but the panel is fitted from the bottom. The gaps at the top of the tunnel are filled with seam sealer from the factory because of their size.
I would definitely recommend valve stem seals if you're already taking the cams out. These cars love to leak through the valves. If you take both cams off you can just pressurize the cylinder or fill it with chord to do those seals.
Man the two colored bushings 🥲
It kills me 😔
Do you know what the part number is specifically for that key that has the lock and unlock buttons?
Took me an eternity to figure this out. The part number for another key fob is 08192-00210. I’ve programmed 2 additional keys for my car.
@@JDMke is it the standard procedure for key fob programming and did you ever figure out how to actually open the two halves of the plastic to check the battery without physically breaking it? You never really showed how the clip was holding the two halves together still in this video
I believe the instructions for “pairing” come with the key. If not just dm on Instagram or Facebook and I can get you a copy. I did figure out how to open it without breaking the tab off. The key is to start from the blade side and pry toward the center of the FOB.
Since Sam has TIG-welded those key areas to secure the new tunnel piece, suggest you just use stainless-steel bolts and nuts to double secure it then seam-sealed the gaps and paint it to conclude the job! MIG welding is just not necessary honestly...
TIG is rough to do in general that was a tough spot as well! Wire would have been a wiser choice for sure much easier for the location. I have some decent FAB experience from high school metals class I just need to grab a welder to get the rust off. HMU if you guys want help with the next weld up! The guys who do TIG for body work practice on soda cans to get real good.
This sort of stuff makes me wish I did something like this in school. I appreciate the offer and we’ll def keep you in mind! Thanks Jon 🙏
