I JUST watched and listened to Marvin Gaye’s version of the National Anthem! OMG!!!! I have always loved Marvin but this is just incredible! I was living in LA when the news came that he had been been murdered by his father. I remember feeling lost and incredibly sad. There is no one who will ever match Marvin’s musicality and cool. He was a brilliant musician ❤️

I'm an old music geek 63 I'm the kid that from age 12 I knew the top 40 every song coming and going on the charts and could name the artist or the title of the song within a few notes of the song, it was never wise to bet against me. Now considering the technology in the 60S AM radio the 70s of course we got FM, I listened alot long story short while living in Portland for 38 years until 2017, there is a radio station that I still stream occasionally KINK FM 102. overnight promgrams in particular but great all the time, they play new talent, or new release new album, bangen music, eclectic as it were. I listen to the radio overnight every night on KINK, and as I was sleeping years ago early June, around 3am this song came on the air th 8:43 and was damb sure going find out who the F it was before I went back to sleep, remember the riff woke me so I had no idea it was the Chile Peppers initially but about 30-40 seconds into the base riff I started to Google Chile Peppers still not knowing any words then the vocals came in and Peppers 🌶 were confirmed but then I had to wait for the title and I lost patience and Googled KINKs ON-AIR playlist and got the title so I could then go to TH-cam and find the video and proceed to watch it no less than a dozen times till 4am or so. First time seeing your stream guys I was specifically looking up reactions to this song that I hadn't previously viewed. This is what I refer to as the mature but FUNKY Chile Peppers 🌶 sound, my favorite personally. I will check you out some more thanks guys.
