I discovered this section a year ago while I was driving to Huntington WV. It has similar grooving to US 33 in Athens and US 30 in Upper Sandusky. Most of the sections are Pittsburgh sounding, and a few have newer ohio mixed! Filmed: September 15, 2024 on my Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Vehicle: 2018 Subaru Outback
U.S. 33 Concrete Section Ramps ASMR Compilation - Lancaster, Ohio
มุมมอง 6K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's my version of the US 33 Concrete ramps that I filmed yesterday. This is my first video of the series that was inspired by @asmrroader72 and @gagejohnson3778! This section is the closest to where I live so I did those first. Grooving types: Lower pitched FDOT, Pittsburgh/Lower FDOT mixed, and Newer Ohio. Filmed: September 11, 2024 on my Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Vehicle: 2018 Subaru Outback
How do you what grooving types are which, like who decides what constitutes different grooving designs, is there a website that shows examples because the video doesn’t show the road surface enough to make out obvious differences other than sound.
This is a mix of Ohio and Maryland grooving.
Oh ok, thanks!
I wish Pennsylvania had ramps that sounded this cool! It's interesting when DOT's resurface the main road but leave the concrete ramps present.
I wonder if the entire highway used to be concrete, despite being a newer one. Many years back I-70 had that same grooving but it's now asphalt, but they kept the OH-29 exit original until this year when they added a roundabout. I actually found a video before they paved the highway: th-cam.com/video/U7oBn8WHr70/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9qcd-xcDNeJf6gf8
US 50 East from Athens Ohio has that exact same grooving as well. It's still there today, and includes Indiana grooving as well!
@@DrakeG51 I believe they sometimes decide not to resurface ramps due to them not having as much damage as the main highway. Interstate 99 in Pennsylvania at exit 83 for example still has concrete for the ramps but the main highway was resurfaced with asphalt in 2020/2021.
@@ConcreteSquirrel Ohio usually keeps their concrete grooving until it's in really bad shape. As for the exit ramps I like to have them original in my opinion!

That's my new series that I'm inspired in right now!
@@DrakeG51 oh cool!
