Late to this video but that LMB/RMB is such a big issue... they HAVE to change it! The Tarisland beta had that exact same thing and it really does make the game "feel" worse since the button both do the same thing. These games need to adopt how LMB/RMB works in WoW & basically every other non-mobile MMO because it just feels "right" and when it's not like this then it's just.. wrong, it's bad.

It funny to me when people says "Grinding is no big deal even if it's not fun, you can always auto hunt and auto play. NCSoft is giving us a good solution to the problem 😺" LOL, they don't realize that it's actually backwards. NCSoft made the game grindy af on purpose to sell these p2w features within the season pass. It's not a solution, it's not an innovation, it's just a stupid feature to milk the 1% of players that won't quit the game within a couple of months. It's exactly like payed auto-loot pets in other shitty MMOs 🤣 The game looks great and it plays itself, Netflix on a 4k screen will do the exact same thing.

It’s weird how you played beta, but have only one low quality video running in the background, kinda sus. As for combat, why do some people want exact same combat as in other games? So according to these people, Tarisland is gonna be amazing and WoW killer, because of the better graphics.

I really loved old school RuneScape and if this game was that with better graphics and some innovations I’d be interested……….but it doesn’t appear to be that lol 😂

I agree with your points of critique as well as overall conclusion, but there are few things to be mentioned regarding your arguments, if we want to be objective. Considering skill design and complexity, as TL obviously goes for “low power level” paradigm, while I also prefer things to be more impactful, multipurpose, with lots of additional effects and clauses, there’s a certain upside to such design, as it makes gameplay more susceptible to minor improvements and optimization, especially in numbers. More factors start to actually influence the outcome, as it was with engineering/consumables/low-lvl items and mana-conserve in vanilla/classic wow. We judge too hastily. You talk about 14-16 skills, while the game allows weapons to be swapped in combat with a 5 sec GCD. If the gear is swappable in combat too (and some claim it does), then we have “old school” manipulations of stats and resists parallel to skill usage (and items in TL are really functional). Everybody complains about rooted animations, while not all parts of them are movement-locking, allowing steps in between. Nobody really talks about active block being less face-rolling and more rewarding than the usual dodge-roll, thus being actually better (while feeling worse), and most of the games we compare TL with don’t even have that dimension at all. Nobody tested gear with active skills on it, while let’s say 50% of modern archeage is glider/pet/mount and shield/weapon active skill manipulation. And how many game-changing things and tricks are yet to be discovered? Another thing I don’t get is why people claim TL is about field mob grinding. Your words about gameplay loop: “grinder game, consists mostly of dailies and kill quests”. Neither field mobs drop anything to replace event rewards, nor do they drop any valuables to exchange for those on that shitty auction, as gold we’ll be farming isn’t a trading currency. We have to farm those events (bosses included). And they happen *every* hour. That’s a grind too, but of a different kind - with competition, conflict, zerg-fests, domination and snowballing advantage. Also, just because nobody really tried to aoe-farm open dungeons doesn’t mean it isn’t working. That test wasn’t really for organized group racing.

what a BS video... 1st there is nothing wrong with the game combat it is what it is, if it gets better fine if not I'm ok with it as it is mmorpgs are more than combat if you want to play a game with good combat go play BDO and Vindictus... 2nd what is the problem with the game being accessible on multiple platforms and designing for multiple platforms ? the game will allow for crossplay between all platforms meaning more players meaning more ways to play and so on, I for one plan on playing on the steam deck. 3th auto combat it is a personal preference there are plenty of people that already explain in detail why full auto is actually slowing you down and does not offer any big advantages apart from what you wold expect... 4 pay to win and cash up this is a matter of preference as well I for one prefer p2w/f2p over a subscription ( not saying that p2w is good just saying that subs mmos are a scam, the best model is Buy once play forever exp new world/gw2, paying for content is fine paying to have access to the content you pay for is an absolute scam ) 5 the game has so many good features that you chose to ignore like open dungeons whether affecting terrain and skills dynamic events like in gw2 pvevp world bosse the fact new skills don't automatically unluck and you actually have to learn and craft them the zerks battels sieges guild vs guild and guild drama etc... like thre is so many good things about the game and you chose to ignore them just bc you don't like the combat and auto hunt, that is like me saying that FF14 is dog pop bc the combat is boring and I have to read or skip and an absurd amount of texted meaning ff14 is the worst game ever because I dont like this and this, any game has things we like and things we don't like about them if the things you don't like are so off putting then dont play the game but to call something bad just because you do not like it is just Karen attitude
