Can you cook Brats like Ribs?
มุมมอง 894 หลายเดือนก่อน
Today on Griffin Grills I cook bratwurst like ribs. I left two in the casing and took three out, just to see what's better. Smoke both type for hour and half. Wrap in foil with honey brown sugar and butter for half hour. Then remove from foil for 15 minutes.
I cooked a Brisket sorta?

I made a brisket shaped piece of meat out of uncased bratwurst. For the point I added chopped up bacon. Spoiler Alert just add bacon to all of it. What a wild cook.

Weber Flavor Bomb Burger Seasoning Review @GrillwithWeber
Kid: Grandpa why do 50% of Americans die from heart disease? Grandpa: You see Billy one day a man wrapped an oreo in bacon.
All things in moderation my son.
Now this is different but i can see it working. Thanks for sharing!
I going make a batch up for Christmas at grandmother's house.
Can these be cooked ahead or should they be eaten as soon as they cool?
If you want crispy bacon let them cool and eat then or do them ahead of time and warm them back up. Bacon won't be as crispy as fresh.
Yum
It was good but like I said in the video I grew up eating steak that way. Give it a try.
You know here in Fairfield ( Solano County) we got a kinder's Delicatessen so close you could throw a Willie Nelson hub cap from his 1970 motorcoach N get ... Uhmm not near enough to walk ( that dang marshland) Thank you also for a nod to the Bay Area where ( of course) Kinders is hailed from. Lol that'll get y'all a ton of 💘
I love Kinder's products (not sponsored, but would be open) I only been using them for a few years now but I have not found one that was mid. All great. I need to search for the Turkey Brine kit. I use it every Thanksgiving.
I guess I like my steak the way he said at the beginning. But to me, the more rare it is, the better the taste and I, personally, believe it's Moe tender, too! Like I said, I like my steak. as a one and a half inch thick, A very hot grill, forty five seconds each side. Earl puts his steak on first which starts a flare, then lays mine on the flame. Really chars the outside and the inside is very rare. But like you say, this isn't for everyone, not even Earl!!
Fair enough
Warm on both sides and cold in the middle!
That's way mom did it lol
We'll have to give this a try!
Definitely!! Skills only take you so far, you still have to have great tools.
I have a friend who eats his steak like that. He called it " I want it to Moo when it hits the plate"😂😂
I grew up eating like that. My aunt would have said I cooked it too long! LOL
Should read, which makes me like it more, auto correct changed to quick!
?
With all the Kinders rubs so far, the meat looks more like it's glazed, quick makes me like it more. But you always use pork, you think these rubs would be good on chicken or maybe even some cuts of beef?
All there stuff been good. Got one coming up might be interesting...
I'd argue they are perfectly compatible with any meats and vegetables. There's a ton of evidence you don't even have to grill... Air fry, just fry, braise, boil, .... Tons
this kinder series keeps getting better n better.
I promise I am not on there payroll (open to the idea) I just really like the products. But if I find one that sucks I let ya'll know.
Do all the Kinder's Rubs contain a hot spice? I don't like heat, but the other flavors are intriguing!!
Some do. The Blend is just salt, pepper, garlic. Woodfired Blend is the same as The Blend but with Smoked Salt
Heat level 1-10, How you rate that jalapeno spice in it? Pork chop liked money!
It was very mild 2 at most and it only came in at the end. The Garlic is main profile. The Citrus complements the garlic from over powering. Just kiss of mild heat at the end. Do recommend you try and yes those chops baller!
Awesome video I just got myself an 18.5 wsm today. It should pair well with my kettle in my arsenal. I really appreciate the video
Thank you so much. I always wanted a Weber grill but no one told me you can't stop at one. It's one of the four I had this far...
Habanero n Pineapple, can't go wrong there! Gona have to get me some of this!
OKAY! You let me see how you cooked it! I know I would love the sweet, don't like a lot of heat, personally! May try this one! Good job!
It's pretty good but no surprise all there stuff is so good.
@AnnelleSmith-pe2pz I would stay away then it's spicy!!
Next time,, take your rub, make a wet brine, and marinate your chops overnight. Then add more rub before cooking. It's next level, brother.
Great idea if I do it for a video can I tag you in the video?
I’ve never tried a Kinder’s product that I didn’t like. Buttery Steakhouse is on of my favorites.
I have to find that one and do a video. Got more flavor coming up subscribe so you won't miss one.
@@griffingrills260 I e been subscribed since the day I stumbled upon your channel. Ives watched every video you’ve posted. Love your content. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much I know it's been little sporadic try to get my self back on regular schedule. Thank you for being an OG
Where did you find this ? Also, did you just use the grill to cook them? You can tell me when you see me!
There whole section at Walmart in the garden center. Looking where the grill accessories are I got a ton to try in future videos. Stay tuned 😉
I got a friend who orders Kinder products. I really like the stuff though I have never bought any. Pork Chop looked spot on!! Nice cook!!
It was amazing I really love there products. Used for few years now just thought why not make videos and share. Make sure you are subscribed so you don't miss any other products.
@@griffingrills260 subbed when you did the Januwings along with the rest of us👍
Thanks for the support. Hope you are enjoying the content
Scrumptious
Thank you
Since I like a very rare sreak, I always have it cut 1 1/2 thick. That way I get my very rare middle and a great crust on the outside. Coffee rub sounds good! Adding brown sugar is a smart pairing with coffee!
I like mine rare too but me and Stephanie spilt one so had to go to medium rare.
As always a banger Griffin grills video
This was one the best steaks I have ever had 10 out 10
😮
🤪😍🤪
Hope everyone enjoys the newest video. If you do leave a like and Subscribe so you don't miss future videos.

Thanks for the comment
Ayeee Griffin.... Mannn you should of called me, I wanted to try some Vortex chicken wings #Clapper 😁😁😁
Welcome any time brother.
Great job
Thanks for the comment.
That seasoning is horrible
Sorry you had bad experience with it I enjoyed it. Different strokes I guess.
Thanks Griffin, about to cold-smoke some cheese today
Heck yeah get at it. I LOVE the A-Maze-N tube so easy. Not sponsored, you could do same with few hot coals and wood. The tube so much easier.
Hey now! Seems like the rub adhered much better! I didn't consider shaping it like a brisket, but that was next level. Bacon was also a great idea! Great vid!
This was such a fun video. I thought about shaping right before I started filming.
Awesome grilling Mr.Griffin
Thanks I doing a real brisket cook Wednesday if your interested. On TH-cam live.
I'm kind of digging this idea. Great video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you glad you enjoyed
Great Wings ❤
Really glad you enjoyed. After using that basket hack I don't do my wings any other way.
Might be worth trying with a no-casing brat, your rub may have stayed on and perhaps had a chance to form an "crust"
You know that might be worth a try thanks for the suggestion
If I try it can I give you a shout out?
@@griffingrills260 Absolutley! Looking forward to more vids
Thanks for the idea this is your video...
Your video is up!
Perfect thing to barbecue until you make it to payday
It was pretty good little appetizer. Think about doing more "Will It Brisket" videos. Already did chuck roast like a brisket.
You described everything about the burger but how the seasoning was. What the hell.....
I very sorry that was on of me earlier video I still learning as I go thanks for the critique
Hey buddy, we have another collab going on if you are interested... It's #stpaddysfood, just post anything that could be considered an Irish dish. It can be traditional, fusion, whatever you come up with. This should be fun with all the options, so please jump on in. #stpaddysfood Please post between Fiday 3/15 and Sunday 3/17.
Sounded awesome have to check out the videos but by time I saw this message no way I could get a video I would want to watch up. I am my worst cridic
@@griffingrills260 Hey brother, I'm putting on a Cinco de Mayo collaboration for May3rd - 5th. Just make anything that is Mexican food, have fun. Are you in?
I see what I got going on but I try see what I can do. Thanks for heads up.
Lack of airflow
Exactly, as someone who owns both the grills he used, lol I knew right away the darker one was from the kettle..
So I can make better contact Kettle is more air flow them the WSM? Or do I have order backwards?
A long as there are a few and you've done good interesting research, cigar people will enjoy, best of luck with the channel
Thanks for the input my try it as a second channel.
And that’s why I don’t use electric smokers
Little confused I don't either. Both my Weber Smokey Mountain and Weber Kettle using charcoal.
I like the sauce concept. Maybe add some cayenne pepper or some other type of spice to the mix. Another fun thing to do is after saucing finish the wings on the griddle to caramelize them up. Nice job.
That's basically what I told everyone if you want heat better add some. I bet kids would love them if skip the bourbon. They super sweet. Not what I was going for.
Weber Kettle with Slow n Sear or Weber Smokey Mountain vote in the comments....
Can't beat a ThermoPro. Like their stuff. Nice review.
Thanks for your comment. I love my ThermoPro I need to get one there pens.
I always tend to overlook honey wings since I just love buffalos o much haha but this looks super good! I love bourbon in cooking so I can imagine those wings with that homemade sauce is just superb! thanks for sharing this, really enjoyed watching!
Glad you enjoyed. I liked them but, next time I would add hot sauce or red chilli flake for more heat.
Consider a few more salads. Worse content but longer life.
I like Taco Salad.
Nice!
Yes Taco Salads are nice.
That Mike's Hot Honey is awesome but it is sweet! Really diggin that sauce though.
I think next time I will add red chilli flake and drop bourbon. Looking for Hot Chinese Wing
Yet again another banger
Thanks for your support glad you enjoyed.
I do like honey wings, bur hot honey even sounds better! I like it!
Just make sure add hot sauce or red pepper flakes if you want sweet heat profile.
These wings look very good! I like that you made your own sauce! I actually never had hot honey before. I have seen some really cool ideas from this collaboration. Im glad i took part in it. New sub here! 😊
Thanks for the support I having so much fun with it. And thanks for the subscribe I make sure to subscribe to you as well
Yes, it was really fun! Thank you 😊
10 out of 10 would do again
