Quien me podria explicar las cuerdas que secescuchan detras
So much better than Fauls 1971 version Never released as a single cos Faul could not match this voice
George a back stabber.
I saw him play that song live in Mexico City 30 years after he recorded this. He was still holding the same guitar.
Mediocre band, useless troll
Son extraordinarios, beautiful song!
its been 14 years ago and I came back here in 2024. amazing.
0:49 is incredible
miss the original Paul
awwww u cut out the flower gagggg
I miss you xxx
Still here
strings blatantly pre recorded... but wonderfulls❤❤
He’s telling us about his death (in code)
At 0:52 He made a mistake on the lyrics, and he noticed that on his expressions.
Actually this is the SECOND BEST live version of Paul McCartney singing Yesterday live. He sings it a little bit better on The Ed Sullivan show. On this performance he doesn't hold the note the end of the word Yesterday long enough and his voice cracks. On the Ed Sullivan performance he holds it longer and his voice doesn't crack. Here is the link: :th-cam.com/video/wXTJBr9tt8Q/w-d-xo.html
No mic on the guitar and the string section from recording is playing, safe to say only the vocals were live unfortunately
I remember watching this video years ago, now it has a whole different meaning in the lyrics
And he was just 23……
Great video, but where was this performed?
Que weaaaa cortaron la mejor parte
Possibly the best song ever
Best performance = Candlestick 1966 .....................................
the video cuts off at the best part. Lennon comes out and says, "Thanks Ringo that was very lovely"
I love the live strings from the orchestra pit. Such a nice addition to Paul’s perfect performance.
this is real jpm
who else heard "our little Paul" instead of "of Liverpool"? lol
Crazy how this song always makes the audience go quite. Saw him live a couple years ago and its the same thing. Straight magic
Well I mean this is the very first time Yesterday is heard or shown to the Public.
Even silly girls get a little bit of art and philosophy….when circumstances force them.

Es y será la más hermosa de todas las canciones del mundo.....al menos para mí........
deus da música
Pretty certain the strings are live. Beginning and end of the video you can see musicians and director in the orchestra pit, with their lighted music stands. Also, the 2nd and 3rd times Paul sings a passage beginning "Yesterday ...", he slows the tempo just a notch, and the director and strings match him perfectly.
So they could play revolver songs live, they could play eleanor rigby live
Nah the songs would be too complex to play
This isn't from Revolver. This was a single from the Help period.
@@bbmcrae and a song on the album at the same time
@@bbmcrae i mean the use of the strings
yes they could, eleanor rigby is just 4 elements strings plus their voices
Imagine having written something like this
Yesterday having written a song like Imagine
@@bravetherainbow :p
Yes. Unthinkable.
*Dream* of having written something like this. Paul McCartney did. He dreamt of a tune, woke up, recorded himself playing it on his piano then went back to sleep. After having spent months asking people if they heard the tune he determined it was original and started writing it into this song.
Billy wishes that every night. How do you sleep, Billy?
Oh, that's so cool :-) I'm to young to have seen the Beatles live, but I went to a Beatles tribute show last year. That was really good. It was funny when one of the performers greeted the "young audience" and added, "young at heart". Most of them were grey-haired, many with a walker or canes. :-)
Thats really important…..yeah…some great composers, as great as Paul also died 250 years ago….even in England. Maybe you heard the name Henry Purcell….? Yeah, cool guy that was…..old…old guy, but cool you know…
The vocals sure sound live... but where's the stringed instruments coming from?
Down of the stage
No, I don't believe so!! The Beatles did not have a live string section. Especially at this point in their careers.
its just a quartet,so its not hard to hide them beside the stage or somewhere.
@@jaybell5171 Yes they did,you are wrong. Ive seen a full show and other concerts as well, sometimes they played recorded music and sometimes orchestra would seat down and play,he would of course always sing live.
What was George saying at 0:04 ?
'Today for Paul McCartney of Liverpool, opportunity knocks' i think it was a reference for a british tv show that was kind of like the voice :)
😊😍😔mingaw
Dislikes fuck off and die bunch of cunts
Okay, so here's the story about this specific video. This is from a show 'Live From the ABC Theater', in Blackpool, UK in 1965, and actually was the first public performance of 'Yesterday'. The full recording of the dialogue before and after the song is available on the Beatles Anthology 2, but I went ahead and transcribed it here for you. This is George Harrison: "We'd like to do something now which we've never ever done before, and it's a track off our new LP, and this song is called Yesterday, and so for Paul McCartney of Liverpool, opportunity knocks." And the simple truth was that the audience is quiet because they had no idea what to expect. This is them hearing the song for the first time. Just imagine. Oh yeah and at the end, after John gives Paul the bouquet, he goes up to the mic and says "Thank you Ringo, that was wonderful." He was still somewhat prickish back then, John.
John was a bit that song Pulls 1st solo without other bandmates..
I believe the show was called 'Blackpool Night Out', which was live from the ABC Theatre
it was "of Liverpool"?! I always heard "our little Paul"!
how is that prickish? that's funny as hell, I'm sure Paul and Ringo both loved it
I now imagine Ringo playing the guitar and singing Yesterday instead
Oh wow, the crowd actually was quiet. I think this song temporarily put a spell on them..
Nah pure talent
how does he sound exactly like the original song ? Gosh that’s true talent
Because this is the REAL Paul McCartney, not the fake that replaced him. Fake Paul writes great songs and is a decent vocalist but still lacks the original's consistency. I believe Elvis and Paul Anka were replaced too. Their early records sounded drastically different from later ones, and it's not explained by puberty/voice changing.
@@omegavladosovich6757 decent vocalist? I’m not sure if were listening to the same singer. Also a true fan wouldn’t believe that Paul died and is replaced because you can’t find someone with the same skill set, identical face structure, same voice, same everything. Don’t you think that John would have exposed to the public that Paul was dead after the bands falling out? Get real.
@@blazerim2682 I think that "fake" Paul is better than the "real" Paul that is not because he died and got replaced but he improved with the time. Obs: Paul is dead theory is bullshit! Just idiots believe in this thing!
@@omegavladosovich6757 I believe you were replaced. You sound so dumb nowadays.
@Green Mills The live versions are much better
i have been looking for this version for hours T-T it really is the best version !
Yes, thanks for gifting me with this experience... and special shoutout to Paul’s apropos intro ✌️
Georges run is so cute 00:07
In the intro, George seems to have made a snarky comment, saying "for Paul McCartney opportunity knocks", then he exits the stage. What did that mean? "Opportunity knocks". Exactly what message was George trying to convey to their fans? When the song is over John Lennon, sarcastically, brings McCartney a bouquet of flowers. What was THAT all about? Were they not happy with Paul performing Yesterday alone? Was it even necessary to include Yesterday in the song line up? Or were those flowers just another clue to Paul's untimely death? It's something to think about.
If i'm not mistaken, "opportunity knocks" was a tv show in the 60's which is an audition for disabled/poor people with talents, so George was making fun of it to Paul. John giving flowers is just John being John.
Wait i was wrong, opportunity knocks is just a regular talent show in the 60's and not just for certain people
@Aditya Or is that just what they want you to think? Could the word "opportunity" be a palindrome for another word, a foreign word from one of the dead languages of another time and place? A word that when translated to the Queens English, means "Paul Is Dead"? Also, its very suspicious that John would just happen to have such a bouquet, a funeral arrangement of flowers, in the backroom. We need to connect the dots.
@@theorangepekoeteabagband4330 well it's also possible. We never knew what they really had in mind at that time...
Possibilities are nothing more than the hopeful dreams of the impossible. With Paul stealing the limelight in a solo performance during what was obviously supposed to have been a performance by The Beatles, it would stand to reason the others would be slighted. My opinion is that George's "opportunity knocks" introduction and John's delivery of flowers at the end were more of a middle finger in the face of Paul. I'm not sure though if that was Paul before Paul died or if that was the replacement Paul, the one who replaced Paul after he died in that tragic banana truck accident.
thank you ringo, that was wonderful.
That’s Paul
George with the Beatles wit
