Here's how I understand MSTR... First, one must have conviction that: 1) the dollar will continue to be debased, and 2) Bitcoin cannot be controlled by governments and will continue to rise in dollar price as the dollar is debased, and 3) Bitcoin adoption will accelerate. Given these factors, MSTR can use its growing market cap to make an accelerating speculative attack on Wall Street by raising funds to buy more Bitcoin at a cost that is a fraction of the rate of increase of Bitcoin's market cap. Other companies would like to copy MSTR, but companies with larger treasuries who make aggressive Bitcoin buys to try to obtain the scale necessary to compete with MSTR will drive up the price of BTC, thus pushing MSTR further ahead. Smaller companies will take too long to reach the necessary size to rank high enough in the indexes to draw the huge percentage of passive 401(k) and other institutional investment inflows that MSTR already has and soon will have more of as it gets into the S&P. Three other factors help MSTR...1) As companies move up the rankings of the indexes they will typically trade at higher multiples of NAV. MSTR multiple to NAV moves between 2-3 these days and MSTR market cap is moving higher in rankings than companies with higher multiples so MSTR's multiple will naturally increase. 2)MSTR has almost no maintenance cost to hold BTC. 3) Many ignorant traders continue to short MSTR, on average to about 20%, which shorts repeatedly fail, thus helping MSTR price rise as well. MSTR, like BTC, will be one of those generational buys like Microsoft, Amazon, and Berkshire Hathaway.

The supply cap of Bitcoin is actually 16.2 million. If you take Satoshi's holdings plus the estimated 3.7 million BTC lost it's actually 16.2 million. So every time you lose your BTC you are actually gifting the rest of the world in the form of deflation.

I want to take a moment to thank Michael Saylor for going on lesser known platforms such as this to spread his fountain of knowledge. Some people would be snooty and only going on shows/channels that have a big reputation already and/or tons of subscribers. Someone in his position of fame and wealth could easily let his ego get in the way, but he's able to be 'the bigger man' and put that to one side, for ours (and ultimately everyone's) benefit.

Your wonderful post serves as a calming beacon, particularly when financial markets are in tumult.

Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor sees the halving as a catalyst for the price of bitcoin due to decreased selling pressure which will allow the price to go up. “You're going to see $12 billion of natural selling per year converted into $6 billion of natural selling per year,” Saylor said. Microstrategy holds more than 214,000 bitcoin, equal to more than 1% of the entire supply, with an average purchase price of approximately $35,000. Most recently, the company used a $700 million convertible bond offering to purchase more Bitcoin in March. OK above is what visionary prophetic GURU says today. But it still doesn't explain WHY MSTR trades at a 180% premium to BTC mkt value. Does anyone know why MSTR is up 12% while bitcoin is up 2.5% Why would this be even explainable - bulls pls explain The premium to NAV was already 160%, and is widening today to +170%... Is there any reason - however unreasonable - to justify this massive increase ? go work it out for yourself: you will see that post the dilution of the recent bond convertible issuance, there is actually a reduction in the amount of btc/mstr sh post the dilution. Pls do that yourself to understand.
