    Just wanted to thank you for this. If you aren't already a teacher, you would make a wonderful one. You really laid this out so perfectly. I have been struggling to read Spanish as I am learning it, and going back and forth with google translate is just frustrating. I went through this video a few times, and I am now actually getting it which feels so good. Thank you!!!

    Would love a video on common operative nurse questions! We ask the same basic questions to all our preop patients so knowing the basic questions, answers and directions would be amazing! Like what surgery are you having done today? Do you take blood thinners? This is your anesthesiologist, he will give you a mask for oxygen and medicine to send you to sleep. Or when we get to the room you have to move over to the next bed or you have to lay on your stomach on the other bed.

    • @LearnMedicalSpanish

      Thanks for pointing that out. I think what you're talking about is for syllables and diphthongs. The 3 vowels you listed are "strong" in that context, meaning they always produce a syllable, and two of them together produce two syllables. I didn't really get into that in this video. Perhaps it would have been more correct if I had called them hard and soft, instead of weak and strong. The terms hard and soft apply to those hard sounds from the G and the C, for example.

    ¡Hola!

🙂 Si tienes sugerencias, puedes dejar comentario en el video, o puedes mandarme un correo electrónico (email address on about page of channel). Buena suerte con la carrera!

    Everytime we have been empachados, which in fact is obstruction and same, I've been to doctors who don't believe in it. The way my nana always explains it, food is stuck in your stomach/or intestines and it's not passing through. It's just rotting there. You feel sick and know for sure when you burp and it's sour. The way she would get rid of it was forcing us to take a table spoon of olive oil with a lemon chaser to help keep it down, which for me even after all these years is a struggle 🤢, followed by the savage massage that hurt like a mf as she's rubbing down your belly and intestines to get it all moving again. But she always got rid of it. ❤
