I LOVE that you know all the original Ghostbusters stuff and follow along this one saying them. Beautiful. Cant beat the originals but what could? And Im looking forward to the next one!! Egon was my favorite Buster...but Paul Rudd does a damn fine job being one and I love him for it. Im glad they are carrying on with this cast and crew and story line.

The original story written by King was loosely based/influenced by/inspired by the real life story of George Stinney Jr, who was arrested for, forced to confess to the murder of two young girls, and was quickly tried, sentenced and executed (less than 90 days from the arrest). The problem was that George Stinney was only 14 years old, he was not able to talk to his parents or a lawyer. They railroaded this kid, essentially tortured a confession out a child, withheld evidence (which pointed to another person being guilty of the crime). To a child, a little boy. He was so small he had to sit on a book to be fitted into the electric chair. The courts have since vacated the verdict (in 2014 I believe). It was a travesty, an utter travesty.

Playing the game before seeing the movie, kinda ruins it imo. It takes the mystery away, because you already know who the characters are when you see them. For me, the best part of this movie is wondering the whole time if and how the hitchhiker guy ties in with leatherface, finding out by surprise that the gas station guy is in on it, that they're all a family, etc. I love the surprise element you get with all that, if you know nothing about them before watching.
