Adjusting into a whole new life, new environment, new beginnings. How I’ve been able to come to terms with my new reality as a family man living in London. . lnstagram - godfromtha90s
I watched your video and found it very interesting. I would have thought that you would know that getting a visa to the UK is NOT an automatic entry into the country because the immigration officer attending to you has to be satisfied at all times that you are entering the country on the grounds that you claim... Remember, Nigerian passport does not carry weight in the western world except you're a big celebrity known all over... your story is nothing compared to my story 20 years ago when I came to study in the UK even after having been to the UK before. You have to be able to think on your feet at all times in the Western world cos they believe in evidence and the ability to speak to convince them beyond all reason doubt. Anyway, welcome to Great Britain... it's not as great as you think though 😅😅
Just stay away from debts in London They accumulate so fast and quick
Choose house first
Please plan towards buying your own house You can use the ISA or something like that that my aunty used
It’s the thick Yoruba accent for me
This happened to me in 2016, they cancelled my visa, held my passport and let me go after 24hrs in detention. I had to go pick my passport on the day of my departure. They cancelled my 2yrs visiting visa. Had to go back to 9ija to re-apply for spouse visa in Nigeria and came back with entry clearance march 30th 2017.
Im looking for a job currently, so everything you said is so true that i had to book an appointment with the GP to check on my depression and mental health. I have kids. Now i understand why people commit suicide. How did you get your job eventually ? I need the information pls
You already failed interview with the immigration the question is psychological and they watch your behaviour.
The new generation of Nigerians coming into the UK need to get advice from those who've been here for decades..l mean, nobody will advice you to get into overdraft etc having had a clean credit slate and a lot of money before! It feels to me that a lot of people newly arriving are just groping in the dark..they've come with a lot of fantasy and ideals and tend to be 'stand-off' ish when you try to befriend them, l just don't understand it. Many will needlessly have to learn the hard way, hopefully earlier so that they can re-adjust quickly! Yes there is pressure everywhere! The difference is that western countries have infrastructure that works and solid rules in place
Perception is one of the factors too
You should have come here illegally they would have let you in for free
Over soji learn from his mistakes folks
What's dumb is if you have a US passport, Canadian passport, EU passport and a bunch of other countries like them, you just use a passport scan machine and walk through, you don't even talk to anyone anymore in London.
Just stumbled on your age and I have watched 3 videos already. A fan and air-conditioned here. You are a good story teller o.
Thank you for going straight to the point!
You could have just said yes, but my documents are in my main luggage. They would have accompanied you to prove it.
God saved you because if is a strict woman she will kick you out
I think you didn’t have an understanding of the credit system in the UK. Hence you didn’t make the right decisions. Proper financial management is really key in having peace of mind abroad.
That's why a visa is called an entry permit. It is the entry point officer that determines your fate! Nice narration!
Those were big mistakes to go on holiday, send money to everybody back home, and buy a big new TV without having another job lined up. If you have passed your driving test Those savings would have been better spent buying a transit van. It not being that difficult making £1500 per week as a self employed delivery driver/removals driver.
Welcome to the club of reality. Life in Europe it's all Fantasy and illusion. It's all about paying bills.
It's probably bcos you mention your son, the British love family, since alot of black families here are from broken HOMES... single mother BS
Great 👌
It happened to me as well, but I was prepared,I had my marriage certificate on my phone. It made it easier.i am glad you were granted entry. Welcome to 🇬🇧.
Bushman!😂
Even the country went into recession within 3 months after Covid.
Every airport has free WiFi
You are a funny TH-camr. Why didn’t you do your research. Abroad is not for the faint hearted
U just got a new subscriber hilarious and informative video
So true. Life in the UK is expensive.. my husband also lost his job and thank God we don’t have kids and I was able to still provide when he couldn’t. It is not easy, unfortunately people don’t understand.
She got your joke 😊
One advice my uncle gave me when i entered Canada is, you can lose everything you bring or bought, but never lose your job. No matter how much you save, it will only last you for 3months... I'm a guy that always listen to the world of elders, no matter how silly it might sound. I always thank him for this advice... No matter how much you save in abroad, if u lose your job and you are unable to get it within 3months, you go hear am
you are so lucky that you had a firm support system. That is crucial. It’s taken me 30 years to wake up from that depression. Please keep on educating the youth! It is deep and urgently required. Succinct fully delivered. Kudos to ur wife #Nigeriansabroad @uknigerialiving #livingabroad #ukliving #diaspora @FolaRemi62 @FolaRemi Speaks

That's why I don't celebrate Christmas this is a con government loves you to spend your last bit of money at the end of the year so when you get into the next year your broke and in debt in the bible god tell us not to be celebrating this day called Christmas because he says its pagan nothing to do with him it dose not say that jesus was born on this day pagan means formerly any persons who does not worship a Christian God so what are you people celebrating if you are Christian you should not be celebrating this day pagan holidays is for the evil not for Christianity 💯🙏🏽
Hello, new subscriber here. I appreciate how you just gave us the whole story without cho cho cho 😁
well spoken. financial planning and responsibility is a crash course in Uk. I wish you and your young family all the best
People pave way for others who want to walk on the escalators instead of standing cos maybe they might be late to wherever they going. Did I Win? Nice chill video by the way
The escalators are always 2 up 1 down or the other way round
They have a so bad mentality that, when you have a debt with them, they always treating people that, your name will go to debt collection, be prepared to pay the money or give your bank account details so they can take the money there, so they don't even figure how you gain that money to survive and this is so ridiculous by oppressing people like a slave
Always travel with backup documents
Thank your God the TV didn’t not fall on your child.
Can I just ask why you went away on vacation when you had no job? The biggest mistake you can ever make in this country is not having at least 3 month's salary in savings ie an emergency fund, this is especially the case if you do not have a permanent job.
Truth be told that high pressure hamster wheel is the rest of your life in the uk and it does not get any better unless you win the lottery for a million pounds and can cash down for a house then you can have rest of mind in the uk. Anything short of that it’s high pressure environment of fast coming bills and jobs that don’t pay much and taxation. It’s why I left. Am a uk citizen but living in lekki now. Rest of mind. Wake up anytime I want and I can sleep for a whole year without falling through the cracks of bills and mounting debts. Naija is very sweet my brother. Those of you who japa will get to find out. Me I japada in 2019. Only issue about naija is looking for a way to earn pounds while in naija. Even earning just 200 pounds a month from some online source, that’s 400k a month. You are chopping life. Forget that japa thing. It’s a scam. You soon get to find out rest of mind is more valuable than first world infrastructure. Infrastructure that you can’t enjoy because bills is flying at you every 25 minutes, as my brother said a whole month feels like 25 minutes lol
Wow interesting....as a UK citizen do you still pay taxes as you don't live there presently?
@@kaysmellsgood oh no Sir no more taxes for me. am living free
A UK immigration Entry Clearance Officer’s denial of entry to a visa holder is subject to appeal if their decision is unlawful for being in breach of a Convention right - in this case the right to family life - and no immigration officer wants that on their employment record. Fraudsters are unlikely to assert parenthood of a natural child living in the UK, a fact which is easily proved or disproved and an applicant for entry wishing to be united with their natural child therefore has a good prospect of proving the unlawfulness of a barring decision.
Nah that ‘what’ / ‘pardon’ business is pure racism. I go still dey there o, I go wan clarify why she feels the need to correct my own English nah only British people they speak English? Abeg now you don stamp passport bring supervisor/ manager come join make I address Una both
I think most of this issues were cultural differences. I only understood what he meant by ‘she’s not working’ when he mentioned his son’s age because I personally thought she was unemployed rather than on maternity leave. The nerves were not necessary but probably caused by the new environment. A picture of your wife’s passport page and your marriage certificate would have sufficed but nerves I guess.
Hello Tee I believe that you are a great Story telling. You're very articulate
Brother, you missed something called flexibility in a book called psychology of money. Most people think money is just about finance, but this book made me understand it's about psychology. You should get that book, and thank me later.
