fire advice 🙏
I played today, when I sat down I was locked in, ready to play. I wanted to leave, and didn't? and started to lost my stack and clearly make bad decisions. I immediately left and your advice aligns perfectly with how I felt about the session. Like you gotta be ready in each moment, can't just let loose and rely on "skill" or whatever.
@@LaLaMedusa i just ended my stream about an hour and a half in. Ran like hot fire. Sucked out on AA w KK all in pre. k flop 🙌. I knew he had Aces damn. Won a few more hands i coulda lost. It all evens out in the end either way Anyway yeah I quit now cause i was only superfocused for about that long. 🫡

@@davidlogan4965 to be honest because i am tilted and impatient right now. If i have the patience to one table then i am in the best possible state of mind. I need to get back to that. 😇
Damn 3 out of 4 were only $2 and the other was $3 😭 I hit a $50 JPSG the other day and came back from 80 chip to win it. Congratulations on the double though. Breaking even is better than not 😎🤘
@@supersarcastic428 thank you brother. I hit a homer the other day off stream. Congrats on the big win 💪🏻
The KK river donk shove was just a classic fish slowplay line. He thought he was pretty much nutted the whole way.
Not even spew, it was a value bet. 🤪
Good job man! Not bad for micro action
Thank you. And yes it is predominantly from 2NL and 10NL maybe 1% 20NL. Sprinkle in some PLO too. I love cash games!
While I agree with all of your sentiments and intuition: You should never fold kings pre because YOU WON'T ALWAYS BE CORRECT. In other words, even when you feel like you're getting set up, you just have to go with it most of the time. You shouldn't be looking to try and find your edges in such very fine spots; especially a spot such as this one where when you are wrong, you are SUBSTANTIALLY WRONG and folding a big favorite (for example, if he somehow has QQ or AK). If he has AA, so be it. He and everyone else at pretty much every stakes for 100bbs are not going to fold their KK when you have AA, so there isn't really any EV to be gained by making this fold here. There's MUCH MORE EV TO BE FOUND IN SO MANY OTHER SPOTS, rather than trying to hero fold KK pre (and/or small sets, for fear of getting set-over-setted). And by the way, the last time I folded KK pre I was not only wrong but two worse hands got it in, and I could have potentially stacked them both.
That is one satisfactory response. I accept. Yet I still like to make this fold when i feel like there are weaker players in the game. In tougher lineups I think I just call it off more often. I'm sure you also have some excellent insights when this scenario happens 200, and 3,4,500 BBs deep ⚡ Nice to see u Kyle thx for watching.
@@QuickPoker Once you reach thresholds of 200bbs+, at least online, getting in KK every time can be a leak. I'd say at 50NL and below, for up to about 200bbs (and maybe even more) it's probably fine and 100 and 200bbs is mostly the same to such players. But by the time you start getting to 100NL+, you're going to run into a lot of regs who are just massive never bluffing nits, and they'll rarely be trying to get in worse. So at these stack depths and at these stakes I'd be more cautious and you have to have some insight on your opponent. If the player is a recreational player or fish, on the other hand, I'd never fold KK for 200bbs. These types of players will ALWAYS find a way to surprise you and have you re-evaluating your initial deductions. This is particularly the case live. Every time I play live, I have to increase the amount of time before my assumptions can start to hold any weight, because no matter how comfortable a player seems at the table, and how many "normal" things they've done, they inevitably do something so far out of the ordinary that my baseline has to be discarded, because they don't compare to players online, and no longer fit a pattern of what I'd consider a "reg". Other stuff you should try to remain conscious of is just what I'll call "game flow". Is there any indication that the player you're against is starting to appear frustrated? ...frustrated with you in particular? Are they winning? losing? etc. These factors very often impact the decisions players make, even some seasoned ones, but especially the ones that don't play as often. Basically, it boils down to this: fish/recreational players don't play enough and quickly get impatient and emotional; they also lack the logic to understand how money is earned in poker, and instead strive to "win pots" (as opposed to winning the most money, i.e., maximizing their EV); and they put absolutely no thought into it till they see the flop (i.e., they frequently will limp, call, and cold-call pre-flop). Most of the regs you encounter, you will over-estimate their abilities. This is very important. They are a little better with dealing with their frustrations and being patient, but they play "scared to lose" (which costs them EV), and hope they can get paid just for showing up. NEVER, EVER pay them off! Regs are drastically "under-bluffing" (not bluffing enough--if at all!). Sometimes the cards just go funny and they get several good hands against you in succession, and it *appears* like they are "running you over" or whatever--don't kid yourself! They are just getting lucky against you! You will make money by never paying these guys off (albeit, KK for 100bbs is an exception!). NO ONE PLAYS PERFECTLY! Sometimes you're just on the wrong side of the cooler. All that matters is that if your opponent would've lost all his money with the same hand if the roles were reversed, then theoretically no EV was lost. And like I said, sometimes your judgment will be a little off and you will be making a big mistake that will cost you a lot of EV. Anyway, pay more attention to your opponents to start profiling them and learn to take good notes (which is hard to do on GlobalPoker). Eventually, you'll realize there are only a handful or so of player archetypes and you'll get better at quickly identifying them and labeling them so that you can react accordingly. If you see a guy who is on multiple tables at a particular stake and has 100bbs or more at each table, they are a reg, and you should assume they are unlikely to be bluffing (unless proven otherwise), even if they do some big scary over-bet or whatever--they just overwhelmingly have value and are just imitating an idol, thinking they are "GTO", when it makes no sense and they don't understand what and why they are doing it. The only part of their "range" they've focused on is the value part, period. Some other tips: NEVER call an over-bet from a reg (or fish) at any smaller stakes games ($1-$2 and below)--it's overwhelmingly value. Avoid calling pot-sized-bets from fish as it's their most often used size with their value. They are also greedy, and put less thought into their bet-sizing and tend to click buttons. On the other hand, when fish bet ~50%-75% pot, NEVER HERO FOLD--you will likely profit by calling with most anything that can beat a bluff. I say "most anything that can beat a bluff" because calling with weak ace-high hands is not often advisable against fish, as they are often passive preflop and will frequently do stuff like limp/call AQo, check call a street or two with just over cards, and then when given a chance to bet, will bluff because they didn't improve and are attached to their hand and now just want to win the pot. Alright man, I took some cold medicine earlier, so this is a little scatter-brained, and has gone on long enough. You've just got to get in there every day and play in the same pool (same site, same stakes, same format) and you will eventually learn enough about your opponents and figure out how to beat the game. Then you build your bankroll and move up to the next level. And, at first, you'll be a little scared thinking that everyone is better than you and they know everything that you're doing, but then one day you'll settle in and realize that these guys aren't any better than the previous stake. And this goes on all the way up to at least $2-$5. Good luck in your games!
Thx Rice 🍚 I love all the charts and graphs etc that you feature in your vids 🤌🏻

solver says 60% half pot bet, 30% 1/4 pot bet, and 10% check being HJ on the 863 board. This is prob bc SPR is low in 4-bet pots so you are supposed to bet smaller than you normally would vs. a 3-bet pot. Also as you said, knowsbleeds isn't really going to show up with sets on that flop, so HJ range is crushing and therefore wants to bet smaller to keep 99+ and all other hands he beats in. Still, I would also bet bigger using the half-pot bet since the board is decently wet and I can see opponents calling 4-bets with Broadway-suited stuff and some low-suited connectors. Fun hand, thanks for sharing :)
Also, HJ's small bet on the turn doesn't make any sense as with any over-pair and aks of clubs; you should be at least going half pot or more. once the flop is called, it is more likely your opponent has a draw or a hand you are still crushing. If HJ has AA in this scenario as he does, he is getting all KK and maybe nonbelieving middle pairs and draws to call. He also didn't have A of c so that unblocks ur opponent from having AQc KQc and therefore making a half-pot bet make more sense.
@@nathancoffman5497 if the solver is split do you just go with the option that has the highest percentage? And what program do u use for solving? Thanks for the sub brother 🙏🏻
Wait. What rakeback? How you gettin rakeback on Global?
About a year Global instituted RAKEBACK 💰. It shows up in your Vault. It makes being profitable a lot easier.
@@QuickPoker Holy sh.... Thanks, man. I had no idea. That's the biggest pot I ever won on Global right there. Seems kinda odd that there'd be a "claim" function. Who wouldn't wanna claim it as soon as it's available. Global should just go on and throw it in the balance. Anyway, thanks, again. That was a nice score.
@@joeseddit i never claim my rake right away. I like to let it build up🤌🏻. What was the dollar amount for the biggest pot you ever won?
@@QuickPoker I don't remember. Nothing special, I'm sure. At the stakes I play, it ain't possible to win a pot as big as the dollar amount that built up in rakeback that was ignored for what, a year you say? I agree with your point about it making being profitable a lot easier.

That’s what it’s all about 😂. Thanks for watching Alex ⚡️
It's very hard for villain to have a bluff at 4:42 after his range has been filtered 3 times by betting the flop, turn, and now the river. So, you should no longer consider how to induce a bluff and stick to thinking that he has a second-best value hand (possibly the 2nd nuts), and you should just raise the rest, and do it as fast as possible, so he reflexively calls before he even thinks (as if he'd make a good choice given how tilted he is).
thats good advice. Sometimes I try to make the superstar play instead of the standard play and it costs me money 🤪

Why is it your rule that you have to play SNGs and tourneys to start building your bankroll? Cash games are a lot less variance, and you should be playing those instead.
The minimum buy in for even the lowest stakes cash game available on global is $2 bucks. So if i can only risk 5% of my bankroll at a time i need 40 bucks to risk 2. To risk 10 i would need 200. To risk 50 i would need 1k. I am following the 5% rule no matter what. So i was playing games with buy in of less than $2 prior to reaching 40. ⚡️ thx for watching mate.
love the bankroll management spreadsheet. it helps me!
Thank you so much that's why I do it⚡I tried making one on Excel and it didn't look as good😎stay patient brother
Stop leading when you flop a pairs, especially your best bluff-catchers like TPWK. That style of play is very exploitable and you will often get your opponents to fold the hands you could have gained from had you checked and allowed them to bluff. At least you would have gained a c-bet.
I agree in a vacuum. However table dynamics, history with villains and the general way ppl perceive me sometimes force me to deviate from said strategical norms. ⚡️
K6c is 100% a shove. It would be a shove for at least 12BBs. QJo was also a correct shove. Stop being results-oriented.
Good advice 👌🏻
