[TA] Kazu Kaizo (ver. Demo)

I loved playing this, there are many creative and innovative obstacles for a hack made 12 years ago, don't really know if the hack is a pit hack or just an extremely precise kaizo:hard since the creator didn't make it clear, but I guess the difficulty is high enough to be classified as a pit hack.
↝ Comments about each level:
↝ Level 1: A relatively easy level compared to the next levels, the only thing I can mention is that I ended up skipping the entire second room at 3:18 duplicating the block of p-switches to the right and getting the gray p-switch, taking me the opportunity since the room is mostly made up of munchers.
↝ Level 2: Played 50% of the level, for some unknown reason, I ended up dying in the second room, tried to access lunar magic to change mario's position, but when returned to the game, the initial screen simply went black and I couldn't play anymore until I had to download the hack again and synchronize it with the movie file.
↝ Level 3: It was the level I most enjoyed playing! I really liked the animated munchers (oh i remember already tried to put one of these in my old hack and ended up corrupting the smc file). 9:45 I was initially lost on what to do here, but I managed to beat it thanks to the help of Vermouth's clear video, link to his YT channel: www.youtube.com/@val-e6968
↝ Level 4: Sadly, I broke the whole level. (I really hate water levels btw).
↝ Level 5: The hardest level (and the most laggy) of the hack that took me many hours to beat it.
I'll be listing all the hellish obstacles that took up a LOT of my time:
15:37 This scrolling screen glitch to make naked blue koopa fall;
at 17:57 when I had to pass through spikes with 2 blocks high, I had to keep the shell green to make it easier to pass (the intended solution is actually harder than that);
These uglies thwomps at 18:00;
The second room at 18:24 because it requires a lot of frame optimization due to limited time;
The final room at 18:50.

I tried to play this in 2018, but unfortunately I couldn't. ↝ That's a pretty nostalgic Kaizo:Hard made by Mr.Kaizo (2016). I almost freaked out playing this, thanks to Biob for making a copy of Armageddon Jk, that's a nice glitch-puzzle hack that prevent (nearly) every break possible, I love this style of puzzle and I had to think a lot about how to handle the items provided in the room. 0:50 ⬅⬅ break

I feel like I've already seen videos of this hack before a while back. Glad to see a new TAS of this one! Also that does sound unfortunate that all of Level 2 couldn't be completed. Was the ROM Hack protected by any chance or did it just randomly break the game?
This error was probably not intentional. This hack is from 2010, so it's common for there to be some flaws in the game's coding when using newer versions of emulators.

I still remember this hack, it had great potential in my opinion.
If you want to play this hack, make sure to change the action of the ledge blocks (cloud block, rope block) to standard action, as most of them act like 49 (part of a bush tile). There's also a faulty pipe in the overworld that doesn't teleport you to later sub-map, you can fix it using the ''Link Stars/Pipe/Exit Tiles'' setting.

When the sprite is spawned in slot 0, its position is distorted by the boo generator. The same happened at 5:07, the star power-up that had its position changed by lightning fire bolts was in slot zero
Congrats on beating the first 3 rooms. Many people gave up in the first room already. 0:46 nice use of the death beam corner. 0:49 It's crazy how much easier this part is with pausing. 0:53 This wall jump to get more s is cute. 1:58 extra wall jump due to bad subpixels? 3:12 ah yes, the jump that looks like a normal triple shell jump from glich abuse 3, but it's not. It's so much worse.

I get what happened here, but I never would have though to use it like this. 9:14 I considered doing this dirt strat, but then decided against it.
