Unfortunately those were limited print runs and reason why they sold out so fast. It was basically first come first serve as the notion is we are not getting another wave of these back on the shelves. Great nostalgic products that definitely made everyone buy in as well, so ur not wrong but at the same time what makes them the real $$$ are the reprint stuff and main sets.

@@Sparkman13 you can also buy 2 booster boxes though & not get a single SP but I do see your point though & agree the pool should be smaller. Like you there’s a handful of cards that cost too much to justify me buying them during the year like S:P, Horus & etc. so for me it wouldn’t be too bad to buy a few tins but would mostly likely go the singles route

So that is the opposite of what I want. I do want there to be value in products and cards. But I also believe if we are creating a reprint product, lets still have value in what Konami decides to sell but also create the accessibility of the cards people need in a much more smart fashion. The method I lay out is a way to not just continue to have value in the tin but also have accessibility to the cards people need, while also chasing out of a large qcr pool people to to get. This would actually in fact add value to qcr rather than the pathetic promo pack they gave us last year. But I am not tryna complain its a way for our voice to be heard for better product design

@@Sparkman13 over accessibility means no value. It sounds like everyone wants to have a full-blown qcr deck. That will literally hold zero value, we have a whole nother set coming out after this tin. None of the tins ever hold value. This is like Konami stocking stuffer

Konami needs the OCG rarity system to truly be called generous. Right now, we are being treated like cash cows.

@@Tyler-Wiley how so? Everything is extremely cheap besides Smith engine. Yubel is tanking already, more rarities will just make everything drop in price like the OCG. Ygo is one of the cheapest card games out right now. - some prize cards that will get reprinted

While chasing stuff is absolutely fun, I agree, this is also product where there is supposed to be easier access to cards. Promos are not supposed to be commons, it defeats the whole purpose. This method I laid out will always want people to buy the tins and chase qcrs. They would not want the tins for two weeks and be done with it. Value would rise in the tins, want to get it would rise, budget players getting access to things would be a plus as well.

@@Sparkman13 This is what rarity collection did and look at any card put into those sets; completely valueless and killed those cards for collectors aside from a few QCRs -- having cards that are hard to access or rarities that are difficult to get, it keeps a huge part of this games audience engaged and caring... just make the promos supers then if that is better but anything above that is insane and the rarity creep has completely killed so much value and care about cards in this game unfortunately. Also, what's wrong with commons? A common SP knight will give everyone access to it while still maintaining the value of the original release and whatever higher rarity version of it may be in the set. When you make everything easily accessible, the supply balloons and cards become basically valueless and everything is extremely accessible (look at rarity 2 sales, terrible compared to rarity 1 yet any card you want from that set is very readily available). Large sets make sense, having high rarity chases (including the secrets, not just QCRs) makes sense, I just don't see why we have to make everything basically worthless (unless it's a QCR) lol.

@@EvolvingSkies no exactly the promos would be ultras, secrets, or supers. Like im not saying those become qcrs. Im saying we have another individualized pack that has 1 qcr for collectors from a nostalgic card from back in the day to current from a 50 card pool. And u get one qcr per tin. Now Ive always led with the statement qcrs, ghost, starlights etc. should never be given out for free, but konami has shown they don’t care about the collector side when it comes to that. But this idea allows for collectors to have some value to collect stuff im the tim, budget players access to things, and also not allowing every card so easy obtainable either in a mega pack. We just have a promo pack with like S:P, crimson dragon, sky thunder, and two other random ones. The mega packs devalues everything in the market. My method appeases all audience

I think the prices on the cards being announced as reprint not coming down is telling how easy it will be in terms of pulling these cards. But a 400 card set size is gigantic

A 400 set size would be perfectly fine for a rerun set IF we had OCG rates. But we have TCG pull rates. Unironically and mathematically. You have slightly better odds playing slots for the middle winnings range in the casino then pulling what you want

Well as of right now, if im being honest a 400 card set size is not good especially since we know konami has a history of short prints as well

@Sparkman13 I see your concern about this being a large set, but again being a 400 card set is irrelevant if 300 of those 400 are commons (as an example). If one fears short prints, that is a separate issue of conversation. All I am saying is that until we get more information about the distribution of rarities, it is not fair or accurate to assume a product is going to fail due to Konami “over reaching” which is the argument of your video.
