This has to be Victoria's most beautiful stream. Lined with ferns, crystal clear water and good healthy fish. The colours of the foliage are stunning. Such a beautiful place! A bit slippery coming out, some newly graded tracks get slippery in after some rain. We found the road from our logo! Super cool. Tunes are Howling at the Moon, by D Fine Us and Ben Wagner's The Way You Move.

      @@rickiwood1026 hey Ricki, those utes are in Condoblin, home of Shannon Noll 😉 they are at the new tourist centre. Good van parking and free hot showers too, nice cafe. The sculptures are between Condo and Forbes and very much worth a look, amazing art. Come to the Riverland sometime!

    This is something i want to do with my wife and our 3 year old next year . I have been reading your notes and tips which are helpful. When you would walk into town to get fuel did you feel safe leaving your boat and gear unattended or did someone always stay with the boat.? Also how meny days from the hume weir to Yarrawonga and from the looks on the map did it take all day just to get out of Albury from the weir ?

      Hi there, our gear was in locked storage lockers under the deck, and obviously we took the motor key with us. Generally we did feel fine leaving the boats, but occasionally we left someone within sight of them. You get the gut feeling, and trust your gut. Between Hume weir and Yarrawonga… we camped at Richardson’s Bend, and went up to Hume weir and back in a day. Then down to Corowa and back to Richardson’e bend in a day. Camped at Jacob camp (upstream from Bundalong). From there to the Mulwala wall and back in an easy day, and same up to corowa and back in a day.those were the days that decided our trip. It will be a big trip for a 3 year old, and totally awesome for you all. Love this river

    keen to know more about the tinny and what you had to do to the hull to get the 40hp on it? who engineered it?

    • @chillhilltravel9933
      @chillhilltravel9933 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was done before purchase, not sure who did it. Love that tinnie and the 40 works well on it. Need to get the right pitch prop to get her up on the plane well. Always carry a spare prop or two!

    • @daniel-hz8rd
      @daniel-hz8rd 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that tinnie must weigh a ton for a 40hp not to get on plane without changing props out. and how do you go with insurance with the 40 on it. was gonna get a quintrex or stacer about this size. but found the stesscos are superior.

      Depends on your tinnie, river conditions and how much you want to see. We stopped for half a day in Tocumwal, and made Echuca on day 3. There’s the whole trip written up on chillhilltravel.com with heaps of info… everything you might want to know, gear, maps etc etc. thanks for the comment!
