Harirajpur, near Jatni of Puri district not far from the state capital Bhubaneswar is known for its festival of “ Dola Melana “,that is both unique and interesting ! It is also called Panchu Dola festival because the deities of five major Shiva temples are invited to take part in melono. During the four day event, huge quantities of Abira (colours) are used by people turning the entire environment to pink and red in a festive atmosphere.
