A bit long and redundant but a good listen

I'm a retired mental health counselor, and I've worked with my share of sociopaths, this author has captured the pathology perfectly. And the narrator is excellent. As bad as she is, I found myself actually liking Jane. Her caustic remarks and her dark view of men, and people in general were funny and accurate. It's definitely not a typical thriller. I'm planning to read all of Ms. Stone's books.

People if you can only comment to complain let me give you a piece of good advice my mom taught me since i was young. If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. They did not have to make this free to listen to be grateful

Great story thankU 4 posting. A common reality & challenge 4 many mothers. Their own children turned against them by family members. Happens 2 fathers 2, it's just one of those things in life.

Well... Good Story at the center. BUT for goodness sake! 12 or was it 15 TIMES endless whining about the same same thing. Almost Same wording! His fault they married puhuhu I am different puhuhu. Jeff this Jeff that. Goodness! How to destroy a good back story 😢

Cheap melodrama… trying to make a story out of very flimsy happenings! And using the Lords Holy Name blasphemously!

Aargh! I really wanted to find out who her birth mother is, but I was dashed on the stones of false notes perpetrated repeatedly by the author. Who in the era of the interweb gasps at 'hippies!' It's too much to bear. She writes well, very well in some ways, but the klunkers just overtook me. Hannah lived in Chicago in the 21st century! She ran a business! She was stylish, and trendy and well-informed. How does she swoon over the reality of her parents living in a commune?!? The midwest is connected to the rest of the country. I just can't. It's really too bad. There's a good book buried under this nonsense.

Question, is this a full audiobook? I know it says that it’s a short story, I am gratefully 30 minutes into but curious at the same time. Please and thank you

I miss the original Jane. Luke removes the idea of Jane being a true sociopath. I did listen to the entire book though

This is dragging way to long, 2 hours in and nothing has happened yet

I like the book, but the wife is crazy.

👎🏼 I only got about halfway in and gave up. Who wants to listen to a board, miserable housewife, being completely self-absorbed .. nonstop talking about it🙄... And so MANY indignificant things. 🥱No thanks.
