Bite on This! (Short)
12 regular customers and crew from the Blue Heron Fleet in West Palm Beach made a 50 hour trip on the American Hunter based in Naples, Florida, sailing 110 miles to an area just north of the Dry Tortugas National Preserve. The catch was all quality as well as quantity. Tired but happy anglers!

    What a colossal waste of money. Leave it to Miami Beach officials to think that raising the roads and seawall is going to work. They install pumps to drain the flooded streets. The water gets pumped back into the bay only to return to where it came from. Next some commissioner is going to see if they can lower the water level in the sea.

    Every single planet's temperature has risen in a past 50 years. Even Pluto the dwarf-planet's temperature has risen. So what caused those temperature changes ? The effects are very similar to earth, the ice caps are melting and shrinking. Additional info the ice on the north and south pole has been melting, yet it is the thickest ever. In 2013 a group of global warming advocates took a tour to see how bad is the ice melting. Long story short, they froze. The ice was so much thicker then anticipated that it captured their boat. Read about , it is a documented and true story : The doomed Antarctic “climate research” expedition that ended up being trapped in ice was led by Chris Turney, a professor of “climate change” at the University of New South Wales in Australia. He claims emissions of essential-to-life carbon dioxide - exhaled by all humans - must be drastically curtailed by government to stop “global warming,” which has been non-existent in recent years. The controversial alarmist, who boasts of setting up a “green” business known as “Carbonscape” to profit from increasingly discredited theories underpinning climate hysteria, was on a self-proclaimed mission to “discover and communicate the environmental changes taking place in the south.”

    • @captdankipnis

      May be?!, but humans don't live on all those other places so what is your point?

    • @rickobrien1583
      @rickobrien1583 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laszlo think about getting your information from peer reviewed scientific sources not ' stories of scientist freezing on a failed mission ' To suggest climate change is a hoax. You sound really stupid and must be on 0 credibility climate change web sites. It's real.. the only debate is how fast do we need to greatly reduce green house gases humans are emitting. There are only a handful of crackpot science people touting otherwise.

    I tried rigging ballyhoo with the hook sideways using this style of tying in a chinweight and it started spinning on me in the water. What do you think I did wrong?

    • @captdankipnis
      @captdankipnis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jack, Could be a couple of things. 1. The knot on top of the mouth is not exactly in the center. Ditto for the knot used to cinch the sinker under the gills. They need to be tight and centered. Did you cut off the peck fins? Bill needs to be cut fairly close as well. Try squeezing the ballyhoo down the side over the backbone, then bend the bait to soften it up. And lastly, let the ballyhoo out about 30 feet and give it a couple of jerks in the water. Put your rod tip down and see if it swims right after that. I have had baits refuse to do what I want and I just switch them out. Let me know if anything I said works for you. Tight lines, Captain Dan

    Sea level rise was at zero in 2008 when this animation was created, however, over the past seven years, significant sea level rise has occurred. Worldwide data suggests sea level rise will continue to rapidly escalate and will inundate nuclear reactors - meltdowns and radiation poisoning are imminent.

    Sea levels are rising at a rate of 3.18 mm every year presently, but this is rising exponetially now. Most of the rise comes from expanding oceans because of global warming, but an increasing number of it is from melting land ice. Check the state of the planet at NASA, who has a lot of satellites monitoring these things now: climate.nasa.gov

    This is flooding from the (so far) rare high moon tides, driven by wind and raised by low pressure. It's less than a foot over normal high tide, but you can see that some areas of Miami Beach are just a few inches above normal high tide. They're working on a project to install one-way valves on the storm drains and pumps to evacuate excess rain water that can't drain away. But with SLR it's just a matter of time before the pumps need to run constantly, then eventually they won't be enough because it will be most of the islands not just the lowest-lying parts. The "high" points are only ~3 feet higher than the flooded areas your video shows. Incidentally things are only a little bit better on the mainland of S.Florida, and maybe 10 feet better than that in the rest of the state. 10 meter SLR is pretty much game over for the whole state. Florida's geology makes levies impractical so the correct attitude is to just enjoy what's left of paradise while it is still fairly livable. Not worth trying to fight this stuff forever.

    Gathering people who wants to be a part of building a network of stable, fully self sustaining and self sufficient communities (a.k.a. life-boats for the coming environmental collapse). Communities that live and thrive free of money. Peaceful communities that are built upon foundation of : love, spirituality, mercy, generosity, tolerance, intelligent, and wisdom. If you are interested in becoming a part of this grass root efforts, I encourage your reply. This Community ARK Project is looking for peaceful, patience, humble, and kind-hearted people who are awaken and aware of the coming environmental collapse; who want to roll up their sleeves and participate in preparatory efforts. One cannot pull someone out of a raging river standing on a muddy slippery slope. In order to pull someone out of the river, one must stand on a firm solid foundation. A fully self-sufficient community is that solid foundation, upon which we stand in order to rescue other less fortunate who will be affected by the collapsing environment. If we ourselves are struggling to survive as the environment collapse, how can we help others? We need fully self-sufficient communities to shelter and nourish us in order for us to reach out and help others. (Note: this is a gathering process and NOT a recruitment process. When one recruit, one is trying to convince others to join a cause; well, someone else can always come along and convince people to join a different cause. But when one gather, one is speaking to those of like mind who do not need convincing; in their hearts and in their thoughts, they recognize the catastrophe that lay ahead if our modern societies continue on their current path of promoting competition, strife, ignorance and scarcity. This Community ARK Project is lighting a beacon so that those with similar mind set will know that they are not alone in their thoughts and impulses, and that there are others like them out there who desire to come together to pool our effort in order to extract ourselves and place ourselves on a different path, one that promote cooperation, harmony, foresight, and a nurturing environment.)

      The problem with Miami is its been trapped by two different massive water releases. The dumping of literally billions of gallons from lake O daily to the north. And the increase in the flow of water to the glades behind it. This is being done as restoration of the natural flow the glades once had. And the fact that the islands trap water behind it in Florida bay. If you recall they had to drain this land in SFL. In order to build on it originally. So now that some of the original water flow has started being restored in the last decade. The flooding has returned. It really is that simple. Water finds its own level. How the hell could only Miami have localized sea level (key word there) rise? And the Keys and all the cities in SFL not have the same problem? Take off the tinfoil hats and don't worry about the hundred year predictions. And worry about some new water control systems in the city.

      no. lived in S.FLA for 13 years, this is an aftershock of a hurricane or just major storm. The drain system is very primitive and the drains are not deep, can't carry a lot of water. In about 2 days all the water recedes and becomes normal again, but for a day it could look really bad. I remember in 1994 fall, we had 5 days of rain after a hurricane and when my car's door opened water was coming in. Lots of flood damaged cars, lots of damaged buildings and a few days later it was all normal. I spoke to elderly people and they told me this is normal. It always happens and goes away.
