Why You Shouldn't Replace Your Original NES 72 Pin Connector With An Aftermarket One
I test out a dirty, cleaned, and aftermarket 72 Pin Connector for the NTSC NES. I originally made this for an eBay buyer but figured it may be useful information for others.

Its been said before but boiling the oroginal pin connector in distilled water can usually bring them back to life and working consistently
Thanks for the info, but this video is about 10 minute too long. Stop wasting time.
Honestly I would take the after market part I have one with a aftermarket pin connector and I really like that you don’t have to push it down by default
Thanks. The pushing it to the right has brought 3 of my cartridges back to life.
I still have my original equipment manufactured nes 72 pin connector and my nintendo entertainment system works excellent
How do you clean the 72 pin connector ?
theres tons of vids on here bro
Can you describe how you fix the 72 pin connector to get it working every time? I took mine out and cleaned it plus bent the pins up and I can get it to work but have to still fidget with it.
What works for me is to clean the games really well with a a tip and alcohol. Once you clean the pin connector, don’t forget to make sure the games are clean otherwise the connector will get dirty again.
I used the 1 up Console cleaner and the Cartridge cleaner. theres a bundle you can get for 29 dollars. My NES works pretty much first try for every game now, its awesome.
